Pregnancy after D&C

Hi everyone,

I am just wondering when any of you lovely ladies got caught pregnant after your D and C? I had mine back in May and I’ve had 1 period so far, I’m due on this Wednesday (10th July) I’m really hoping I don’t but I’m getting all the signs that I will.

I can’t bare to see another negative test and would love to hear some positive ones!

I’m working through it was prepared as only had a dnc in may this year so new deep down I was loosing this 1 luckily it’s coming away on its own xx

Oh no are you more likely to have a miscarriage after a d&c? I also had one in may. Had a totally normal period June and July so I was hoping it would be less likely. That's so awful for you Hun, sending lots of love xxx

I’m not sure I had a missed miscarriage in may nothing would come away wasn’t bleeding but went for a scan Thursday and the sack was only there baby had come away and I’m bleeding loosing clots this time around xx

@VenusStarr Helloooo you! Oh wow.. congratulations!! I’m well, I have my first scan tomorrow I’m currently 7+3 so I’m hoping for good news this time 🤞🏼🌈
I also had a DandC in May this year, has my first period then got caught straight away so we’re all in the same boat!

@Williams51 I am so sorry 😔 I too am thinking I’m going to get bad news tomorrow but I’ve had no ‘bad’ signs just tiredness, sore boobs, few cravings and nausea.. so just the usual. Look after yourself ❤️

I don’t think your more prone to having a miscarriage after DandC. I was told your more of a chance to go on and have a successful pregnancy after a miscarriage. So I’m holding onto that for tomorrow.

Literally I am lost for words. I can’t even describe how I’m feeling apart from excited but also very scared!

Both 2 beautiful heartbeats measuring at 7+2, separate sacs also and non identical twins xx

All natural. I had a miscarriage in Feb this year so he reckons because twins don’t run in the family then I’ve released 2 eggs and they’ve both been fertilised!

I am scared I’m not going to lie. I think I just need to get my head round it. Yeah I’ve felt awful these past few weeks since finding out and I’ve been sooooo tired! I’m even in bed now.

I just, don’t know what to say 🤷🏽‍♀️😂🙈 xx

I have to say this time round, I am feeling it. I've only known 4 days but I feel very headachey and tired. Last time I didn't have any symptoms until about 4+5 weeks. Technically am only 3+3 - from lmp, but from ovulation, I'm 4 weeks today. Just feel very different to last time. You've got me thinking.... 🤔

@Lea89 I'm sorry I can't help but laugh! I think it's bloody fantastic! Double trouble but double the love 🥰🤰❤️! No matter how many kids you have you just do it that's what is mum's do so don't you worry! It's amazing I'm a little bit envious haha!! Oh god @VenusStarr imagine.... That would be the 2 first people I spoke to on Mumsnet and the only 2 that have continued to keep contact pregnant with twins!! Im super excited for your scan 😬, do you know when it will be? Ahhh thanks girls ❤️ Still in a lot of shock today, I woke up thinking it wasn’t real then it hit me!

My next scan is in 3 weeks. They said I will have a lot of scans and monitored very closely which is quite nerve wracking, but comforting.

I’m absolutely exhausted girls so I’m going to have to go to bed. It was my first day back at work today after 2 weeks off on annual leave. I’m already thinking about getting signed off for next week because I’m that exhausted 😩 xxx

Aww bless you, you have to do what's right for you and to be honest the first trimester is always the worst for tiredness so lordy knows how your feeling having twinnies ❤️🤰! Rest as much as you can now sweet! I think I'd be reassured to be kept a closer eye on too. I think even after your babies are born and your running around after them you may still be in shock lol!! I hope you get some rest though!

It'll be amazing to see how much they've grown and changed in 3 weeks @Lea89. Your body is going through so many changes too, hope you're getting lots of rest.

@Elles1980 I called the epu today and they'll see me around 6 weeks - going by my dates too! As I ovulated on cd10 I'm 4+2 now, but by lmp I'm only 3+5. The nurse was really reassand kind, because I've been feeling really anxious. Had a lot of stretching pains yesterday which she said was round ligament pain. I didn't get that before. I did another test last night, was feeling anxious in case it had gone, but it's definitely still there 😊

Early pregnancy insomnia is definitely a thing for me 😴 been awake since 3.30...

@VenusStarr aww bless you! It's so weird because every pregnancy is so different so trying to pint point what's right and what's not I so hard and your bound to be anxious. Luckily most epu nurses are pretty lovely, and there so used to ladies being anxious they can del with us with care! All the stretching sounds like a really positive thing for you thou hun so hold onto that until your scan! And oh lordy I forgot about the insomnia, my youngest woke me at 3.33sm every morning in my first and last trimester lol! Just look after yourselves ladies, keep those feet up and chill and let people run about after you 🥰🤰 xxx

Hi @Lea89 @Elles1980 @SunStruck not a good update from me. Unfortunately looks like my second missed miscarriage. Had a scan last week, only a yolk sac was seen, today there is now a foetal pole but still no heartbeat and I should be 7 weeks 💔 just totally broken xx

Thank you @Elles1980 I'm really angry, at everything, even the baby 😢 nothing is happening, I just want it to start and be over with. I cried myself to sleep on Friday. Dh and I argued yesterday, he still has hope that I'll go back in 2 weeks and it might be OK 😢 I just feel numb today. I think the worst thing is knowing what's to come but just not when it will happen - if it even happens on its own. I really hope it does.

I also don't know if we should keep trying, the fibroids seem to have flared and it was suggested that my uterus is not a good shape so it's probably my fault my babies have died 💔
