I think.I might be bleeding, as when I wipe, after a wee I can see a stain on the toilet paper its a sort of Brown colour, do you think it could be blood in the urine, or perhaps just dark urine ?

Don't know if I should try and contact midwife/Dr or a and e or if the NHS make me wait a couple of days for a scan perhaps I should see if j can get in the private place today that charges fifty pounds ?

I just stressed and bit sure what to do

Oh lovely, I'm so sorry to hear your news.

I had medical managment for my mmc, they gave me 2 tablets to insert at home (at my own pace) and then another 2 to repeat a few days later if nothing had happened. It started quite quickly, within 12 hours of the first tablets, and although the pain was like an intense period they also gave me some prescription codeine which really helped.

My nurses were lovely, I had to go back to the EPU a week later for a scan but they did it early to ensure i was there before any other pregnant ladies which was really considerate of them.

Sending you and your DH love.

Don't be scared! We are here to hold your hand and a v large un mn hug! Smile

whiteandyelloworchid · 24/08/2012 16:24

Thanks dh arrived after the scan, we have talked to the nurse about what option to take and I just feel I can rush the descion

Don't feel like having an op though and am wondering now I've started bleeding should I wait and see

I may decide to go for the medical management route

I'm so sorry to hear that white. When I had my mc it happened naturally within 3 days of starting to spot. I was just the same as you, due to have 12 week scan on the Thursday, started spotting on the Friday before and the full mc happened on the Sunday.

Personally I waited to see, but I wasn't able to have a scan as it was a bank holiday weekend and the epu had already shut til the Tuesday.

Sending you big hugs, be kind to yourself. I hope you have family around to look after you. xx

blackteaplease · 24/08/2012 16:34

It's entirely your decision and you can change your mind, you won't be obliged to stick with medical management if that's what you opt for.

Take care x

whiteandyelloworchid · 24/08/2012 16:42

Waiting to see what the nurse says, we gave been told the options so went for a drink to talk now gave come back, if I don't take the tablets today I think I might have to wait till Tue
Not sure if they allow you to take them.home here. As they have to book.me in two days later

AmandinePoulain · 24/08/2012 16:45

Sorry to hear your news orchid.

I had a very similar experience a week before my 12w scan last year, and chose medical management as I didn't want an anaesthetic and I hadn't started proper bleeding so wasn't sure I could bear to wait to mc naturally.

I had to take an oral tablet to stop my body producing progesterone that day, and go back in 2 days later for pessaries to trigger 'labour'. I bled heavily that day, and it was painful but I was offered lots of pain relief. I was meant to be treated as a day case but ended up having to stay overnight so they could be sure the mc was complete, then I had a scan 2 weeks later.

Good luck and best wishes xxx

HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey · 24/08/2012 16:46

pixiestix · 24/08/2012 16:52

I'm so so sorry for your awful news. Be gentle on yourself xxxx

whiteandyelloworchid · 24/08/2012 17:50

at home now, dh just going ot get changed then we are going ot the supermarket to gett the things nurse advised lots of pads, painkillers and magazines etc.
then we will go and collect dd.

my mum and dad know so i will need to phone them soon to braek the news, better to do it before dd gets home

as i didnt feel able to make a descion then and there, by defult we are goign down the expectant management route atm, i am able ot phone ht ehospital tomorrow if i decide to go for the medical option.
if i go for the sugery it wont be until end of next week

so don't know what going to happen overnight, or over the weekend or even longer

hi monkey, i didn't realise you had a mcSad
how are you doing now?
or is that a silly question

im actually dreading having a scan to see if and whne the mc is complete as i hate anything internal, they said i could have an abdominal scan, but the internal is so much more accurate

i can't really take the news in, as its all about how we aregoing to deal with it physically.

whiteandyelloworchid · 24/08/2012 17:51

im not bleeding heavily, not even as heavy as a period, yet
have been a few smaller than pea sized clots, so i suppose, hopefully somethings happening, and its starting up.

Pastabee · 24/08/2012 17:56

I'm so sorry Thanks

HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey · 24/08/2012 17:58

Thinking of you all Thanks

mrsmopsmissingmojo · 24/08/2012 18:15

If you can take some floradix with iron in it. It will help to build you up. It's quite gentle, but any extra help is only a good thing. Or metatone. All natural, just give you a boost. I'm so sorry, its gutting. I remember the empty feeling so very well...remember you're not on your own.

valiumredhead · 24/08/2012 18:18

Floridex is fab stuff xxx

whiteandyelloworchid · 24/08/2012 19:18

OP posts:
mrsmopsmissingmojo · 24/08/2012 19:53

Floradix is great for building iron back up and will help bring you back to you again much quicker. Do take care op x
