Hi I am 33 years young and live in Copthorne near Crawley, West Sussex and looking to chat to other mums/mums to be in the Surrey/Sussex area and maybe arrange a meet up sometime. I used to be on the Redhill or nearish thread but that seemed to die a sudden death so thought I would start a new one.

I have a daughter of 17 months and am expecting another girl in October.

Are there plans for still getting together this week?

poppetmummy · 14/11/2005 19:24

Hi, I'm new here! Wanted to say hello. I have just moved to Selsey, would love to meet with you guys but wouldn't be able to get to Crawley. But would just be nice to chat. Is there any one who lives near Selsey out there? My DD is nearly 2, and a real live wire at the moment - where do they get all that energy? Would love to talk to anyone who is finding their two year old and/or being a full time mum a bit much at the moment!

fatbetty · 15/11/2005 12:28

Hi Poppetmummy! Where is Selsey? I'm in Reigate and just moved here in June...and still settling in. I have 2 DS, one is 2.5 and the other is 15 months. I know what you mean about their energy and the terrible twos!! Somedays I feel like it's a struggle to get through to DS1 and his tantrums. Feel free to email anytime and we can chat.

poppetmummy · 15/11/2005 19:27

hi fatbetty
two boys hey! good on you, i'm not brave enough to consider another yet. selsey is right down on the coast, south of chichester. we only moved here a couple of months ago, takes a while to get your bearings doesn't it?
take care

Hi Poppetmummy,

Bit far away from us! I live in Copthorne near Crawley with my hubby and our two daughters of 21 months and 5 weeks. How old are your kids?

I thought the meet up wasnt on this week as no response really maybe we could re-arrange for next week or the week after.

Hi Funnytype,
Not to worry, had a feeling you all seem to be nearer Crawley. Perhaps I'll start a new thread.
My DD is almost 23 months, I'm just trying to find her a friend around the same age along with some company for myself.
Hope you enjoy your meet next week!

funnytype · 16/11/2005 11:49

Hi Sally,

I am normally busy on Wednesday afternoons, can you make any other days?

Have a good day everyone.

I'm usually free most days but now with Christmas coming up I seem to be getting busier. I'm on Mumsnet more often now, but if not could somebody drop me an email when you set a meet up if I haven't been on Mumsnet for a while. Thanks!

Hope you all are well.

funnytype · 17/11/2005 07:51

I can normally make Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays what about everyone else? Lets try to arrange a meet up soon. Steph xxx

Hi,

It's a date - Friday 2nd.

I wonder how many of us will meet?

Sally

bumblelady · 25/11/2005 21:05

where shall we meet then? helen

jamesbusymum · 27/11/2005 18:22

Well, if it's Crawley - how about going to the artic jungle - I haven't been yet but have been told it's good. Or if in Horsham, we could do baby rhyme time at the library 10:30 to 11 and then go for a coffee or to the park after if possible?

Sally

funnytype · 28/11/2005 15:41

I am afraid I wont be able to make Friday as forgot that is the day my mum is coming down. Sorry about that but hope you have a good meet up and am up for a meet up the following week but can only make Monday or Tuesday.

Looks like none of us will meet - I can't make it either and no one else has responded!

Sally

funnytype · 05/12/2005 08:06

Sally, I am happy to try again for a meet up, what days can you do again? Or how about meeting for an evening meet up? Maybe more people could make that. Hope everyone is well and lets get this thread more active again, might be the time of year when everyone is busy I guess.

Steph,

I think you are right about a busy time.

I normally go to a toddler group on a Wednesday afternoon, would suggest the morning but Isabella has to have a morning sleep every day, I guess I dont have to go every week but the next couple of weeks there are things on there but how about the 21st? Otherwise it would have to be in the new year which might be easier.
