Hi I am 33 years young and live in Copthorne near Crawley, West Sussex and looking to chat to other mums/mums to be in the Surrey/Sussex area and maybe arrange a meet up sometime. I used to be on the Redhill or nearish thread but that seemed to die a sudden death so thought I would start a new one.

I have a daughter of 17 months and am expecting another girl in October.

Helena, glad your scan went well. Did you find out the sex in the end? Sorry been a bit slack on here, not been well had a throat infection and have a cold now. Whats everyone been up to? Worked Sat and Sun last weekend which was tiring but it is all money. Hope everyone is well and we must arrange a meet up if not at the end of month some time in July and also a day time meet up.

Hope you are feeling better now. We're all fine, despite the fact that chickenpox is rife at Rhianna's nursery and some friends we were with two sundays ago daughter went down with it the next day, Rhianna has not caught it. We've been expecting it, but nothing so far - I hope it can stay away a bit longer as Nev and I are off to London for the weekend on our own. It's our wedding anniversary and we are really looking forward to having some pampering and some us time.

I hope you have a really good weekend, Paula... I'm taking a day of in August for dh's 40th birthday and it will be the first time we have had some child-free time together in ages... Can't wait!

Thanks Helena - in spite of the weather, weekend was brilliant. A huge bouquet of flowers and chocolates floated up the drive on Friday from Nev which was lovely, then we set off on Saturday morning, dropped Rhianna off at parents and caught the train to town. We were staying at the Waldorf and it was really lovely, beautiful pool, food and everything. Unfortunately, didn't feel much like walking around as it rained all the time, but we felt very spoilt as they'd made us an anniversary cake and left Champagne in our room. We had a lovely long lie-in on Sunday and leisurely breakfast. Ah - could do with a weekend like that at least once a quarter .

Sounds absolutely fabulous! In fact, just a lie-in by itself sounds pretty good, let alone in a posh hotel with champagne!!

It's all gone very quiet on here - are you and I the only ones left Helena??? Hope you are feeling Ok and that everyone else is doing well too.

I'm doing very well, thanks! It is rather quiet, isn't it? I've noticed a couple of posts from Steph in the for sale section and Stacey posted about sleepless nights (or something similar) recently as well. We will have to do something to kick-start our evening out in Purley, I think!

I'm generally around, except from 9 to 20 August when we have dh's 40th followed by a week of holiday and, possibly, my sister's wedding! End of July would be a possibility though - how about you?

Must organise another night out in Purley very soon maybe next month, what dates are good for everyone? Hi all

Sorry I haven't been on for a while, our phone line was down for over a week because of lightening cutting through the wire so we had no internet at home and I was too busy at work to get online as I've had lots of meetings. I hope Mary is OK as she hasn't posted for ages. Helena - hope you and bump are well.

Regarding meeting up, I'm going to have to go for the end of August really as I'm out quite a lot at the end of July when it's my birthday so there's lots of people to see, etc and Nev has quite a few things planned for me. I'm off to Glasgow for two nights with work in early August so I don't really want to leave Nev and Rhianna for another evening too soon after that. Any time after 23rd August suits me fine - and I think that should fit in well with you Helena too. Sorry it's such a long time away, but life is hectic at the moment (Rhianna's social life is phenominal as she has birthday parties just about every week for the next two months)!!

Steph - I'm not sure when I'll next be down to Crawley on a Monday. 30th July is a possiblity, but I'll let you know for definite as soon as I can.

Paula, should be ok for the 30th, let me know definate when you can. As for meal out, might have to go into September if noone can do anything until the 23rd of August as am away from the 24th to the 28th and then that week until the 2nd September am rehearsing and doing my show.

Steph - I will definitely be down on 30th July to see my parents so will happily meet up at some point during the day - morning is probably better if that fits in with you as Rhianna is still having her after lunch sleep amazingly enough.

As for the meal out, I'm free in September, so anything (except Mondays) is fine. Hope that fits in with the others. Helena - if that's getting too near your due date and you don't want to drive that far in your advanced state, please say so and I'll happily meet somewhere near where you are.

I was thinking of suggesting there, but Rhianna has a nursery trip there on the Wednesday of that week so it will be a bit overkill to go twice in three days. Is there anywhere else we could meet if the weather is nice?

Cant really think of anywhere else outside wise, there is the air balloon that has the wacky warehouse and a bit of an outside area we could meet there or if u can think of anywhere else let me know. Hope everyone is well, seems very quiet on here. Hope we can all meet up soon.

Hiya! Sorry I haven't posted much. Was ill for about 3 weeks - signed off work for one - and have been preoccupied with other, house-related stuff since I got better... Have a lunch arrangement with my antenatal group in Reigate tomorrow otherwise would have been very interested.

How are we going on sorting out a meet-up in Purley? Second half of August or any time in September - baby permitting - is fine for me.

That's fine - see you tomorrow at 10.30 in the Wacky Warehouse. Sorry I haven't replied earlier but we've had a very busy weekend as usual. Rhianna's sports day on Friday, out for my birthday on Saturday up in London and at two parties today for Rhianna's friends!

Helena - glad you are feeling better now. Sorry to hear you have been unwell.

Meeting up - September is better for me. I've got a trip to Glasgow next week, off work with Nev the following week and am out for two meals the week after and one the week of the bank holiday so am a bit tied up in August! Hope September suits everyone.

Seems like it's just you and me on here these days. Got back from a few days in Glasgow which was interesting. Cold up there though, not like here, but a nice city. I missed Nev and Rhianna of course, but it was interesting and a laugh as I was with others from work.

Good to see you all the other Monday too. Rhianna talked about that place for a few days after. Have you been back since.

Anyway, I can certainly do any day week of 3rd September, not Monday though. Think I'm OK the following week as well.

Looks like a meal for two lol! Helena and Mary hope u are both well, come talk to us! Also Paula let me know when you are free to pop round as without a car not sure when I will be able to meet up at Air Balloon but can always try to get the car if Simon can get a lift to work.

Hi Girls, sorry for not popping in more. I'm away the week of the 3rd of September, I think we are back on the 9th. And then my family is coming over the 18th of September for 3 weeks.
