Hi I am 33 years young and live in Copthorne near Crawley, West Sussex and looking to chat to other mums/mums to be in the Surrey/Sussex area and maybe arrange a meet up sometime. I used to be on the Redhill or nearish thread but that seemed to die a sudden death so thought I would start a new one.

I have a daughter of 17 months and am expecting another girl in October.

I hope everything goes well for the scan soon Helena, do let us know. I felt exhausted during my first three months of pregnancy, but at least I could just come home from work and fall asleep - can't do that with a toddler around can you so I do feel for you!

As far as the date goes for the meet up, I think we're just waiting on Mary aren't we?

Steph - how is your job going? Thank you for the card, it was really sweet and I'm glad Isabella likes the cat, I hope the knickers were OK as well.

Have a good weekend all if we don't talk before, we are out all weekend, so I probably won't get on here again until Tuesday now.

staceym11 · 09/03/2007 10:53

hi i live in redhill and would love to meet some local mums (i do however already know mary!) have a slight problem that i don't drive so would have to think carefully about any meet ups!!

fatbetty · 12/03/2007 13:38

Sorry for not getting back to you guys sooner. Are you still looking at 22nd March? That date is fine with me!!

Helena, a BIG congratulations to you on your pregnancy!! Can't wait to hear more about how you are doing. Keep us all posted!

Stacey, I could always give you a lift since you are not too far away!

Hope you all are well. I'm feeling better - still have a cough - but the boys have it now. They have been passing a fever back and forth to each other all week. What fun!

Mumpbump · 13/03/2007 09:54

Please go for 22nd March as it seems to suit most people. There is a chance that I may be able to make it as I have left it a bit late to confirm my attendance at the work thing I have that night - hadn't noticed the time passing... I should have a better idea at the end of the week!

funnytype · 13/03/2007 19:39

22nd March should be ok with me, hope u are all well and had a good weekend.

where is the meet up on 22nd? im in croydon is anyone else near?

floraflora · 14/03/2007 19:54

Sorry to crash your very established looking discussion ladies...
Just started a new thread with plea for Arundel/Petworth types.
Foxy800, I notice you are in Chichester area - whereabouts? I'm moving to Petworth area at end of month, with DP and DS (9 months today - how time flies).
Anyone else on this thread near Petworth?

Firewalker · 15/03/2007 09:43

Hope you all have a great time next week - I'll raise a glass to you while I'm out having my meal. Hopefully I'll see you at the next meet up.

Natty - I work in Croydon and live in Purley so am quite near you. This meet up is near Redhill.

Floraflora - the rest of us don't live near you. My Nan lives in Petworth so I know it vaguely.

Mary - I hope you will all soon be a lot better. Sounds like you have all been really suffering recently.

Foxy800 · 15/03/2007 09:48

hi FLoraflora, Im from a little village 20 minutes from Chichester. Just looked at routefinder as Im new to the area and still dont know alot of places and Petworth is about 45 minutes away. R u looking forward to your move.

Mumpbump · 15/03/2007 10:19

Have decided to ditch my work thing as I am quite tired in the evenings at the moment... Not helped by ds waking up at 5am for milk at the moment... A quiet(ish) night out near home sounds like a much better option!

Shall I see if I can get a table at the Joshua Tree again? Say, for 8pm? At the moment, it is just the three of us: Mary, Steph and myself.

Sorry you can't make it, Paula. Guess we'll just have to have another evening meet-up in the fairly near future!!

NattyThomasandBump - Redhill is about 30 minutes drive from Croydon or 15 minutes train journey from East Croydon if you want to join us...

floraflora · 15/03/2007 15:46

Foxy800 - no dreading move actually. Just feeling settled here and don't want to uproot really, but it is a lovely house and much nearer grandparents... If you are 45 mins away you must be south or west of Chichester, I guess?
I feel like i'm really crashing this thread - thought everyone else would be other side of the county so do join me on new wider south-west West Sussex thread and we can chat perhaps?
Byebye to the Sussex/Surrey crowd!!

Firewalker · 16/03/2007 09:16

Floraflora - don't feel like you are crashing the thread. I re-read my message (which I was writing in a hurry as I was just off to a meeting) and realised how curt it sounded. Sorry about that. I'm sorry we don't live near you apart from Foxy. If you are moving near to Petworth village then that's near where my Nan lives. It's lovely there although she is rather cut off where she is. I hope the move goes well for you anyway.

Mumpbump · 19/03/2007 10:27

Just to say that I haven't yet booked anything so if we are going ahead with 22 March, rather than the last week of April when Paula can make it, and you want me to book something up, can you let me know fairly soon.

fatbetty · 19/03/2007 13:22

I think Stacey is coming as well for our meetup. I'm still up for the 22nd.

Mumpbump · 19/03/2007 13:31

Cool. I'll take a risk and book a table for three at 8:00 pm then...

funnytype · 19/03/2007 13:47

I am coming so make that four please! Hope you are all well and had a good weekend.

Table for 4 booked at the Joshua Tree in the name of Helena Biggs at 8pm.

Firewalker · 20/03/2007 09:25

I hope you all have a great time - have a drink for me and I'll raise a glass to you all as well. Such a shame I can't borrow Dre Who's tardis so I could beam over for a quick coffee once I've had a meal with my crowd! Anyway, hopefully I'll see you all soon - before baby is born please Helena.

staceym11 · 20/03/2007 09:44

fatbetty you're right i am coming! will be nice to meet up! looking forward to it!

floraflora · 20/03/2007 12:48

Firewalker - no offence taken.
Thanks for wishing me well with the move - I'll need it !

funnytype · 20/03/2007 19:28

Look forward to seeing you all on Thursday. Stacy dont forget the dress, if any good would be ok, to give you a cheque? unless I have any cash left from the meal I can pay you cash of course! Thanks.

Good luck with the move flora, hope it goes well.

yes will remember the dress, whatever is fine, i trust you!!

fatbetty · 21/03/2007 20:35

Just to double check about tomorrow's meetup: it's at the Joshua Tree at 8pm. Right? Is the Joshua Tree on Common Road? Just want to make sure I have the right place.

Mumpbump · 22/03/2007 09:53

Yup - that's the one. There is a link to a Yellow Pages map in one of my earlier messages re: the abortive attempt at meeting up. Will see you there around 8. I will most probably be walking so wish me well in these arctic conditions...

funnytype · 22/03/2007 13:21

Look forward to seeing you all tonight. Been a while since been out for a meal.
