Hi I am 33 years young and live in Copthorne near Crawley, West Sussex and looking to chat to other mums/mums to be in the Surrey/Sussex area and maybe arrange a meet up sometime. I used to be on the Redhill or nearish thread but that seemed to die a sudden death so thought I would start a new one.

I have a daughter of 17 months and am expecting another girl in October.

That's fine. Will cancel table and maybe we try it next time...

fatbetty · 23/02/2007 13:33

I'm so sorry ladies for not meeting up and that the meet up didn't go ahead anyhow. I really hope this doesn't last for 4 weeks Steph, but it doesn't seem to be letting up. Just feel like it's all in my sinuses now. And there isn't much I can do about it except ride it out. Ugh! I'm pretty much free most of next month. How are people for the 15th or 22nd?

Mumpbump · 23/02/2007 13:39

I should be able to do either although 22 is slightly better for me.

Re: blocked sinuses, have you tried steam inhalations with olbas oil or menthol/eucalyptus in them? They really help open up your passages and can help all the cr*p drain away quicker.

funnytype · 25/02/2007 15:43

think the 15th or 22nd is ok for me too, paula can u do one of those dates? Hope u are all having a good weekend. Started work this weekend at the estate agents went well but very busy yesterday.

Hello all! Now can't do the 22nd, so it would have to be 15th for me... Pleased to hear that your first day at work went well, Steph! Are you showing people around properties?

Tortington · 26/02/2007 15:29

soory to crash your thread i am trying to organise this meet up for a mum please take a look and do your best

Firewalker · 27/02/2007 09:47

Hi all

Sorry not to have got in here before, I wasn't on-line on Thursday or Friday and over the weekend, I couldn't connect to this site. Couldn't get on yesterday either! Sorry to hear the meet up didn't go ahead after all. Mary, I hope you are feeling loads better and Steph, I was going to mail you this morning to find out if you had started on Saturday. I'm glad it went well for you.

I'm going to have to throw a huge spanner in the works here as I can't do 15th March - I'm already out for a meal with another group of friends that night and one of them is emigrating to Australia that weekend, so I really would like to go to that as I won't see her again for goodness knows how long. I can do 1st April though!! Is that good for anyone? If not, then go ahead on 15th March as planned and I'll have to miss this one which is a shame, but can't be helped.

Custardo - I had a look at your thread, but couldn't make sense of it at all.

Firewalker · 27/02/2007 12:56

Sorry, having just written this message, I realise that I can't actually do 1st April as we go on holiday the next day!! Can't do 5th or 12th April. The earliest I'd be able to do is the 19th April. If you'd rather get together before then, please do so and I'll have to come along to the next meet up!!

Mumpbump · 27/02/2007 13:01

Why don't you guys meet on 22nd as 15th isn't ideal for me anyway - dh is away then. I'll catch you all on the next one!

funnytype · 27/02/2007 14:03

So we either meet on the 22nd but mumpbump wont be able to make it or wait until April. I dont mind it would be good to meet up all of us. What does everyone else think?

Well it would be nice to come along, but I didn't want you to put it off because of me. A date when we could all go would be good - If we can all do 19th April, then it is only six weeks away and at least it will be lighter in the evening then which I can't wait for.

funnytype · 28/02/2007 16:19

ok if everyone can make the 19th april shall we put in diaries?

fatbetty · 03/03/2007 21:53

Hi All! I am feeling better, but the runny nose and coughing fits are still holding on. Nights are mornings are worse, but feel fine during the day.

I'm afraid that I can't make the 19th as I will be away on holiday. I'm away from the 9th to the 23rd April. Sounds like a busy time for all of us with holidays, etc. Hope the rest of you can meet up on the 19th, but let me know when the next meet up might be.

Hope you all are well!

Foxy800 · 04/03/2007 08:15

hi there, I have just joined this site. My name is Sarah and I have an 11 month old little girl. We live in west Sussex. We moved when lo was 3 weeks old so still dont really know anyone and would love to get to know other mums in the area.

funnytype · 04/03/2007 14:29

Hi Foxy, Welcome! Whereabouts in West Sussex are you? I am in Copthorne which is near Crawley. Mary, sorry to hear you still have a cold, hope u are feeling better soon and shame you cant make the evening meet up, how about everyone else? Maybe we could arrange a daytime meet up for us two Mary and anyone else who would like to join us?

Hope you are enjoying your weekend.

Why not reinstate 22nd March? It seems a bit unfair to move it so I can make it and then it ends up with Mary being unable to make it...

Quick hello to Foxy!

Firewalker · 06/03/2007 14:39

HI all

Mary, sorry you have been feeling rough, I hope you are soon 100%.

Steph, how is the job going?

Hello Foxy, welcome to our thread.

Hope you all have a nice time on 22nd March. Let me know when the next one will be and I'll try and make a daytime meet as well if it's a Monday.

Foxy800 · 06/03/2007 14:48

hi all, Im from near Chichester. Not sure how near to you all that is. Still not sure where most places are!!!

Mumpbump · 06/03/2007 14:49

Sorry - overlooked the fact that Paula couldn't make 22nd March!! Suggest we ditch that idea. How about one evening in the last week of April? Surely that far away, people must have a free evening or two??

Firewalker · 06/03/2007 16:47

Yes, all clear for me at the moment, but can't do the first week of May.

Paula

Firewalker · 07/03/2007 21:20

Helena

I didn't realise you were pregnant - how did I miss that one???? CONGRATULATIONS!

Paula

Mumpbump · 08/03/2007 09:23

Thanks, Paula!! I'm only just over 10 weeks so still a bit nervous, but I get my nuchal fold scan in just under two weeks so hopefully that will put my mind at rest a bit...

funnytype · 08/03/2007 13:32

Congratulations on the pregnancy mumpbump, not sure how Paula knew you were preggers as no mention on the threads! How are you feeling? Steph xx

OP posts:
Mumpbump · 08/03/2007 15:03

Thanks, Steph. Feeling okay. I don't seem to get morning sickness, thankfully, but have been really tired. Hopefully that will go in the next couple of weeks and I'll get some energy back again!

funnytype · 08/03/2007 19:32

Yeah been there done that twice now its your turn! I found I was more sick with Isabella my eldest than my youngest Sophia so was so sure Sophia was a boy but obviously I was so wrong! So what date shall we agree for this night out and what about a day time one too?
