Anyone fancy meeting up and having a picnic in the summer holidays at Nottingham castle - it's free to get in and there a lovely playarea and area to have a chat and picnic.

hula I have emailed you. Also have already copied the list down (printer a bit erratic atm) hopefully got everyone, make it about 15 people plus kids!

Hulababy · 10/08/2005 22:34

Got it; have replied

fairydust · 11/08/2005 07:48

morning all - dd is so excited this morning she keeps asking for her crown and pink dress to wear.

LOL fairydust. DD got us up at just after 6am asking if it was time to get up and go yet. As we are going to castle she thought she should wear a princess dress - Snow White or Belle was favourites - but I have persuaded her away from that idea now I think!

Picnic is packed
Spare clothes packed
Camera charged
Phone charged

Need to call at cash machine and get some money though.

Trying to decide whether to take buggy or not though. DD rarely uses it normally, and it would be easier on the train without I think. BUT she was up very early (for her) and her legs may well be tired by time we get back. And it'd be somewhere to put the bag I guess. Hmmm...

undecided · 11/08/2005 08:36

dd has woken up with temp 39. But ds will not be happy to stay at home....

Hulababy · 11/08/2005 08:48

Oh no

pootlepod · 11/08/2005 09:44

I feel much better now and am coming, so see you at the station/castle!

hotmama1 · 11/08/2005 14:03

Sorry, I didn't turn up - dear sis is still in labour. Didn't come because dd has the mother of all runs! Has had them off and on all week - by 11 a.m. I'd done 4 horrendous nappy and clothing changes and they've kept coming - mmm nice.

Was really looking forward to the meetup - so will really try to make the next one.

Hope you had a fab time - weather seems good.

fairydust · 11/08/2005 17:26

Fairydust you beat me to it!

I was really nervous about today but glad I did it and enjoyed meeting you all. I only spent £20 in lakeland too!!

It would be good to do a future meet at planet happy or similar, perhaps next month would be good?

fairydust · 11/08/2005 18:33

Hi. We had a lovely time today and it was great to meet you all.

DD had a great time and has been telling daddy all about it, especially playing with FD's DD and GB's DD. She is hoping to play again soon

She is so tired. She is fed, bathed and now in bed - hopefully fast asleep.

Up for another meet soon

I'm definitely looking forward to meeting again when I don't make such a mess of my own travel arrangements. Wouldn't have been so bad had I not have been the closest to the venue!!!!
