Anyone fancy meeting up and having a picnic in the summer holidays at Nottingham castle - it's free to get in and there a lovely playarea and area to have a chat and picnic.

Hi, just catching up with this after a weeks holiday in Devon.

So, meeting at noon on Thursday 11th August... Everybody bringing their own picnic? Is there any sort of cafe for coffee, ice creams etc?

Hula's link to map (see June 5th) (thanks) suggests I'll get off tram at South Parade/Old Market Square and walk up Friar's Lane.

And (thanks to Lilaclotus' link on 6th June), I'll drive to the Park and Ride off J27, M1.

Obviously, if anyone has spotted a massive flaw in my plans, do please point it out.

Otherwise, where are we going to meet? I only know a few of you and I think I'll need pretty clear directions and/or rolled up copies of the times/red rose buttonholes....

Frizbe · 20/06/2005 23:04

FLAW! its J26 for the park and ride, not J27!

jamiesam · 20/06/2005 23:23

Thank god you were paying attention at the back! It's just possible I'll actually make this then

jamiesam · 28/06/2005 21:41

Gone oddly quiet - I haven't killed this stone dead have I?

Frizbe · 29/06/2005 10:23

nah, I'm still lurking! Hula's on hols, so could be why its quiet!

jamiesam · 29/06/2005 15:18

Phew

Hulababy · 05/07/2005 12:52

Are you saying I talk too much jamiesam!?! LOL

Back now, so what's happening?

Hulababy · 05/07/2005 12:53

Reckon I will still go by train - DD will like that idea; will sort tickets out this week.

fairydust · 05/07/2005 16:17

hello all

we're still def on for this - going by train as it's quicker and dd loves it.

I was thinking maybe we should also think of an indoor place as well in case the weather is against ys that day = what do ya think???

gingerbear · 05/07/2005 16:18

gingerbear · 05/07/2005 16:18

kcemum · 05/07/2005 17:30

Frizbe · 05/07/2005 18:57

kcemum · 05/07/2005 19:36

Thanx frisbe
I don't know of any indoor soft play centres in nottingham city centre. The only ones that I know are in Arnold and on Carlton Hill.

rah · 06/07/2005 10:11

Hi Rah.

Can you help us out with an indoor option in the centre if the Castle is rained off?
