Nottingham Castle - Summer holidays

Anyone fancy meeting up and having a picnic in the summer holidays at Nottingham castle - it's free to get in and there a lovely playarea and area to have a chat and picnic.

you're right serah, the statue of robin hood is below to the left of the entrance.

Oooh, thank goodness Lilaclotus - I still have my sanity, if not my dignity.....

Put it like this Frizbe, I'll be at that statue at 12 wearing a red pushchair and a screaming baby. Upon seeing this combo, you all may like to meet at a different one.

Not been particulary well but still hoping to make this, my train gets in at 11:40 so I'll meet you all at the coffee shop. Gingerbear, return trains are similar for me too, so I'm taking dd's tea just in case!

Thursdays weather is supposed to be very hot!

The later one goes to Sheffield. I will have to be mega organised and sort out a picnic the day before (v unlike me)

I am working later than normal tomorrow (to have Thursday off) so my picnic will have to be done even later!

I don't have yours FD, so phone or text me when the train is nearing.

undecided - would be lovely for you to come and join us.

  1. To meet by the Robin Hood statue at 12:00

  2. To bring a picnic! (or starve!)

Hula been meaning to post on here for ages, to say we wouldn't be coming, cos ds is on hols with BIL and family.

However as you know he isn't but I'll be fetching him back on Thurs, so have to miss it anyway.

I wish I hadn't let him go now, he missed a birthday party on Sunday too

Just to let you know that I might not be there as my little sis has just gone into labour - and today is her due date - she always was very organised!

So I might be holding my little nephew instead - I'm sure you will understand if I'm not there - otherwise see you at the statue at 12.00.

dd is so excited about tomorrow - she keeps saying we're going to windy castle (windy castle is off peppa pig) and has asked if she can take her crown - what she really means is can she take mummmy tieara

hello girls.
sorry that you are not coming Easy esp as ds1 was looking forward to meeting yr ds. Another time maybe.
Is everyone else on the list coming! Going to be a monster one then!
Anyway I am coming by bus, probably the 11.20 from Derby which gets to N 11.50, hopefully on time and a 10-min walk to castle. But we may be a few mins late....
(earlir bus prob not practical as our swim lesson only finishes at 10.30 but we'll get it if we can as it would give us more time)
Anyway hopefully I'll spot you all - I'll just look for a bigcrowd inc Hula and ginger. I'll have ds2 in a big backpack, shd make me easy to spot.
kids really excited esp about going to the castle!

I would but my printer is still printing very imtermittently, and mainly in red wine, ever since throwing a glass all over it
