Oh, Bubbaloo, only just seen this, you poor thing. I hope Oscar is back home with you now. Are you ok? CAT me if you ever want to chat - do you have MSN? How has it been with DH back at work?

Pinotmum · 15/07/2005 18:45

Bubbaloo, I'm so sorry to hear baby Oscar has been in Hospital Hope everything's fine now. I think all the waiting lists will start up again from September so if you go along at the start of term (probably wk com 5/9/05) you can put yourself on the list

bubbaloo · 15/07/2005 20:16

hi everyone,

flossam, thats really sweet of you.im not on msn-only icq.might cat you though-about time i started being more sociable.

pinotmum,i'm really looking forward to going to the group in somerville road.my friend knows the person who runs it and doesnt think we'll have a problem getting in-just waiting for my friend to phone me and i shall meet her there.
also found out there's a post natal group at seven kings on a friday afternoon so i may start going to that soon,as my mum said she'd drop us off and pick us up!

have been feeling really lousy the last few days.
oscar came out of hospital on tuesday and thankfully is fine apart from a big bump on his head.

ive been to the doc's tonight as im in agony.he thinks ive broken my tailbone which will apparently take 6-12 months to heal.have been given super strong painkillers and told to sit on a rubber ring.just my luck,i'll burst it-ha ha!!!

dh has been a diamond.he slept at the hospital with the baby as it was more comfortable for me to sleep in our bed.dh isnt injured-i fell down the stairs with the baby.

hope everyone else is fine.xxx

Flossam · 15/07/2005 20:19

Bless your heart. You poor thing. Thats the sort of thing everyone dreads, I really feel for you. It can happen so easily. You must be glad to all be home again. Yes, CAT me and when you are feeling less sore we must have a meet up, I am desperate to meet Oscar!

bubbaloo · 16/07/2005 10:10

hi flossam,

ive CAT you so you'll probably get my message on monday.

Flossam · 16/07/2005 10:12

Lovely Bubbaloo. I'll email you as soon as I get it, might not be till weds as am on nights but you will hear from me I promise!

lukesmama · 20/07/2005 12:21

Hi Bubbaloo, just catching up and read about you and Oscar.I really hope Oscar is getting better, and that you are ok.

bubbaloo · 20/07/2005 12:43

thanks lukesmama,we're not too bad ta.ive got a lovely foam ring to sit on which isnt really helping but never mind.oscar is absolutely gorgeous and a really good baby, considering everything he's been through.
when you take your ds to annie p to be weighed, just wondered who did it.is it one of the nurses there? and do you have to wait long?
im not going this week as the hv from seven kings is coming on monday to weigh oscar and measure his head, but i shall be going there afterwards on a weds or friday so just wondered really.

hope your'e well.xxx

lukesmama · 20/07/2005 20:02

Hi Bubbaloo
We are all fine and have just got back from spending a lovely week in Cornwall. When you get Oscar weighed the Health Visitor does it and you can ask her any questions/concerns, sometimes you have to wait a while it really depends from what I remember Fridays were usually less busy than Wednesday.

bubbaloo · 20/07/2005 20:51

glad you enjoyed your hols-we're off to great yarmouth in sept and really looking forward to that as it'll be our first holiday with oscar.

thanks for the info on annie p.i'll try and go on a friday if you think it's less busy-nothing worse than waiting around, although im used to waiting ages to see my doctor there-ha ha!!

we've just got back from toys r us where we bought oscar a travel cot.he's already outgrown his moses basket and he's only 4 weeks old.

Amai · 24/07/2005 15:14

hi bubbaloo, loulabelle and every one else. I live in Barking near ilford and go up there every now and then to buy fresh fruit and veg and check out the endless asian fabrics. Also go to the shops in ilford town centre but prefer Romford for H&M. Barking has a great park but that is about it really!

mismatch · 25/07/2005 10:59

Flossam · 25/07/2005 11:19

Hi Bubaloo, I haven't forgotten you! I should be working nights this week, although think I am likely to be cancelled, but wondered if you might be free any days next week? Hope you are all ok. xx

bubbaloo · 25/07/2005 13:05

hi flossam-thats fine,dont be daft!.

just checked my diary and we're busy on monday but should be free the rest of the week.

we're all fine ta.had the hv here earlier and oscar's head has gone down by half a cm so thats really good!

hope your'e all well.xxx

mismatch · 25/07/2005 13:10

As you are all local can anyone suggest a nice Italian restaurant around here? DP birthday this w/end but need to keep it quite low budget i.e not too far in a cab!! Any ideas ladies?

bubbaloo · 25/07/2005 14:03

hi mismatch,
not really one for italian but went to asta la pasta a couple of years ago which was cheap and cheerful.dont know if its still there, but it was in wanstead right opposite snaresbrook station.
the food was very nice and so were the staff.

mismatch · 25/07/2005 15:29

Thanks Bubbaloo - just spoke to a friend who reckons theres a nice one in Chadwell Heath, so may try that one.
PS Hope you little one is doing OK

Hello, i'm sorry to butt in, we are about to move from Hackney to Walthamstow, I was wondering if any of you knew Walthamstow, had some suggestions re: best areas for families with kiddies, schools that are ok, etc, can you or any of your friends help? Best, lewislewis
