lukesmama · 13/06/2005 19:11

Hi Fee
Thanks for that info about the outdoor pool
St George's park in Brentwood sounds great we will have to go and check it out.Are the swimming lessons at Hornchurch pool for toddlers I thought they had to be about 3 before they go to lesson's.Apparently Playtown is due to open in September so I heard and they are going to make it much bigger, and a bit cleaner hopefully!
Bubbaloo, hope something happens in the next day or two I know what it is like to be waiting I had to be induced and DS was born 11 days after his due date.
Loulabelle, hopefully I will see you at Goresbrook on Wednesday.

bubbaloo · 13/06/2005 19:28

mmmmchocolate · 15/06/2005 21:15

Hi everyone, could i please join your thread? I live in Brentwood and have a 9 month old dd. Lukesmama King Geroges Park is really good, we go quite a lot, dd loves the sand pit. Also has 2 swimming (paddleing pools) that open in the summer....

bubbaloo · 15/06/2005 21:21

hi mmmchocolate,

think we've chatted on the "essex" thread a while back.
nice to "see" you again.

mmmmchocolate · 15/06/2005 22:31

i think we may of aswell.... Only just got access to pc daily so hopefully will be about more often now......

lukesmama · 16/06/2005 11:58

Hi mmmchocolate, nice to meet you, defenitely think I will take DS to that park in Brentwood when we get some warm weather.Hi Loulabelle, I did go to Goresbrook yesterday we were there a bit before 10am and then about 50 school kids arrived so we only stayed till about 10.30am, sorry I missed you.
Bubbaloo, hope something happens soon, thinking of you.

Pinotmum · 16/06/2005 12:16

Hi Everyone! Bubbaloo, you'll have to come round here and bounce on dd's trampoline for a bit. That may get things going Thinking of you.

fee77 · 16/06/2005 12:23

Hope you are ok bubbaloo!
Lukesmamma, hornchurch do a ducklings class, which is just getting them used to the water. I have been taking dd for a year now and she really enjoys it. There is a massive waiting list though!
Where is the sun? It was supposed to be nice today - we have planned a bbq!
Agree with comments on playtown - it was filthy! I like going to timbuk2. Any one been there?

bubbaloo · 16/06/2005 16:44

hi everyone,

thanks for all your kind words.

just got back from the hospital and im not a happy bunny.the doctor wanted to do a sweep but i refused as im such a coward and told her im not very good with internals.
so...im booked in for tuesday morning to be induced, where she told me i'll end up having alot more internals then.
i think they worry me more than the birth!!
have now told dh we're having curry every night till then and ive just bought 2 more pineapples, and if that doesn't work we are going for a very long walk over hainault forest on sunday.

any tips would be gladly appreciated-this baby has to show before tuesday!!

hope your'e all well.

Pinotmum · 16/06/2005 19:48

Bubbaloo, do you have a birthing ball? If you do try sitting on that to help the baby's head move down. You could try sex but I personally couldn't be bothered and still can't (sorry tmi!!) A hot curry, raspberry leaf tea and pineapple are all supposed to help. Don't worry about the internals just grit your teeth, after all that child's gotta come out honey!! I really hope something happens this weekend for you

bubbaloo · 16/06/2005 20:08

cheers pinotmum.

havent got a ball but might send dh into romford tomorrow to get one.just had a lovely chicken balti(but not very spicy!)and will have some pineapple later.know what you mean about sex though-poor dh had to give in to my seducing twice last week and it's not a pretty sight-LOL!!
also had a whole box of RLT over the last couple of weeks.
oh well...looks like i'll have to keep trying.suppose the nice thing is if im induced on tuesday,he may arrive on weds and thats our wedding anniversary!!

Flossam · 16/06/2005 20:23

Poor you Bubbaloo. Just another advocate of the RLT. In retrospect, DP did get some, urm, oral attention a couple of days before DS was born. Someone on here said it works better than BD. Right now I've ruled myself out of coming to any meet ups!

Can't believe how many people are about. I didn't realise Goresbrook was a pool when it was talked about earlier in the thread, drove past it and was like ahhh! Took DS there on Saturday afternoon, the baby pool is lovely. He seemed to enjoy it much more, lots of splashing and giggling!

It would be lovely to have a meet, there will be plenty of us now. But I think I'd rather wait untill Bubbaloo is good and ready with her DS. Nothing to do with wanting a cuddle, of course not!! It wouldn't be the same without you. Hope not to see you for a good few days! xx

bubbaloo · 16/06/2005 21:09

thanks flossam-im sure you mean that in the nicest possible way.

yes it will be lovely to meet up but waiting for me might hold things up.like ive said before it can be a real big deal for me leaving the house sometimes.im not agrophobic(sp?)or anything but suffer quite badly with IBS which can be a real pain in the arse(excuse the pun!).

mmmmchocolate · 16/06/2005 22:19

Hi bubbaloo, i am new to this thread but just wanted to wish you luck for it all to begin this weekend...

Where is goresbrook???? I have been to timbuk2 with dd a few times (she is 9 months) and she loves it, i think being around the other children is the best bit for her.

Flossam · 17/06/2005 00:23

Bubbaloo, have you tried Silicia (Sp) gel? it is really supposed to help. I have had IBs and took it for a while, but then got pregnant. Has it been better since Pg? Mine was fine during. Get it now when I'm stressed. If I think DS is poorly etc I get it then. I can see myself becoming one of those mothers ' WHy weren't you home for tea? You make me so ill. I shall be dead before I'm 45 you know!'

Flossam · 17/06/2005 00:24

So sorry MMMM, Goresbrook is just outside Dagenham I think on the north circular.

bubbaloo · 17/06/2005 07:24

thanks mmmmchocolate.

yes flossam,i've tried silica gel and it does help.i also haven't been that bad during this pregnancy, but like you when i'm stressed or going out it tends to start again.i've also quite a few food intollerances so that doesn't help matters.oh well...could be worse i suppose.

loulabelle222 · 17/06/2005 09:30

bubbaloo- i know you just want to see your precious baby but he will come when he is good and ready! good luck with the birth hun!

Good luck for the weekend!
