hi all,
thanks for all your kind words.
its been a hectic couple of days.we've been to the hospital 3 times for blood tests as the baby is fairly jaundiced.we were there for 7 hours yesterday but finally got the all clear-he's on the mend and he should hopefully start to "go pink" within the next couple of weeks.
took him to sainsburys today and he slept while we did the shopping, and if the weather is nice tomorrow we're going over to hainault forest for a nice walk in the pram.
hope everyone is well.xx

Pinotmum · 26/06/2005 18:14

Glad to hear everythings fine and you're getting out and about with little Oscar. Make sure you rest when you can and leave the housework (it's going nowhere )

Flossam · 26/06/2005 21:10

Glad all is well Bubbaloo, DS had Jaundice and we had to go to St Georges. Glad all is gettin better. Enjoy your walk! xx

lukesmama · 27/06/2005 12:54

Hi Bubbaloo

mmmmchocolate · 27/06/2005 13:01

Congratulations bubbalou...

Glad he is ok xxx

bubbaloo · 01/07/2005 20:27

hi everyone,

hope your'e all well.

we're doing really good.still got loads of visitors coming over but managed a trip to the park the other day.seemed really weird pushing the pram but obviously in a nice sort of way.took oscar to be registered this morning and he's off to his first bbq tomorrow.

next week should be fun-dh is back to work,so it's just me and the baby.

Flossam · 01/07/2005 21:21

Aww Bubbaloo, nice to hear from you. I hope your time alone with DS goes well. It will go better than you expect I am sure. Glad you got out and about. Remember where we are if you get lonely! xxxxx

lukesmama · 03/07/2005 20:03

Hi Bubbaloo
Glad to hear that things are going well for you, hope you had a nice BBQ, hope you and Oscar have a great week now that DH is back to work.
Today we just took DS to the little miniature steam railway next to Chadwell Heath Station(I didn't even know it was there until today and have walked past it hundreds of times!)he loved it as he is totally into Thomas the tank engine, went for a little ride on a miniature steam train with DH and he thought it was great. It is only open the first Sunday of each month, and is worth a visit if your little one loves trains.

bubbaloo · 03/07/2005 20:23

hi lukesmama
i also didnt know the minature railway was there-thats really handy to know.
we did go to the bbq but only stayed a couple of hours as it started to get a bit nippy.we then popped into our old neighbour so she could see oscar,so that was nice.have had a full house again today-at least tomorrow it'll be nice and quiet,i hope.
i'm going to phone the organiser of the church in east road tomorrow.they've got a pram club on a thursday morning which i want to find out about.it'll be really handy as it's only in the next road to me-if i can pluck up the courage to walk in on my own-lol!!!

hope everyone else is ok and had a nice weekend.

bubbaloo · 04/07/2005 19:03

hi everyone,

well i found out today that the pram club in east road is actually closed now til after the summer-last week was the last week, and apparently there's also a waiting list as it's very popular.

pinotmum, was it you who mentioned a baby club at somerville road? if so,do you know if there's a waiting list there?

wow, these places must be popular-it's a whole new ball game to me.

lukesmama · 05/07/2005 12:37

Hi bubbaloo

That is annoying about the group in East Rd, most do shut for the summer holidays and will start agin at beginning of September. There is one in Sommerville Rd on Thursday afternoons 1.30-2.45 I think, don't think it has a waiting list.I went once but unfortunately it is a difficult time of day to get there for me anway.

bubbaloo · 05/07/2005 13:43

thanks for that,lukesmama.

next time i go past there i'll get the number and phone them.
also phoned redbridge council and barking and dag council today to get a list of baby groups in chadwell heath so hopefully that'll also help.the lady on the phone also said about them closing for the summer but hopefully if there's waiting lists i can put my name down.
havent ventured out properly yet,but once the weather picks up it'll be nice to get out and about.

bubbaloo · 06/07/2005 21:24

lukesmama,

found out today there's no waiting list at somerville road.i spoke to a friend of mine who happened to mention that she goes there on a thurs afternoon, which is great news as i'll now have somewhere to go and someone to go with.

loulabelle222 · 12/07/2005 09:43

do u know of any groups in the ilford area? i cant get through to redbridge council!!!!!!

loulabelle,

ring the childrens information centre which is based in hainault and ask them to send you details of whats going on near to where you live.they are really helpfull.i phoned them and the barking and dag one,as im on the border and they sent me soooo much info which is really handy.they can send you stuff re:schools,clubs,baby/toddler groups, libraries etc...the list is endless.

their tel number 0800 587 7500 or you can email them at [email protected]

hope everyone is well.

havent had a nice few days.had an awful accident and oscar's been in hospital.long story but he has a fractured skull but he's going to be ok-no lasting damage but a rather large bump on his head.
