Pinotmum · 03/06/2005 20:53

My brother had Oscar on his short list for his son but with his surname which also begins with O the initials looked odd = OO! Hope your surname doesn't begin with O

bubbaloo · 03/06/2005 20:54

Pinotmum · 03/06/2005 20:58

Pinotmum · 03/06/2005 21:04

Hi all,

I went to goresbrook on Saturday. it was nice but extremely busy. Considering I live fairly close to it I dont go that often but must do from now on.

Anyway Ladies, I would like to invite all of you to my house on the evening of 17th june which is friday next. I'm going to be having a candle party and I thought it was a great way for us all to have a meet up. If anyones interested in coming along please CAT me. I live in Dagenham. You are very welcome to bring any frinds and the kids are welcome. The more the merrier!

bubbaloo · 07/06/2005 11:58

lukesmama · 07/06/2005 12:54

Hi Bubbaloo, was wondering if you were still around, hope you are feeling ok, glad you got everything sorted about seeing the HV as well.
Loulabelle, glad to hear you enjoyed Goresbrook, I am also going to try and take DS there every week let us know if you ever want to meet up.Does anyone know if there are any outdoor pools around here or not too far away,DH remembers going to the one in Valentines Park when he was young but the only ones I know that are still around are in central London.

loulabelle222 · 07/06/2005 20:11

lukesmama · 08/06/2005 12:09

Hi Loulabelle
My DS is 18 months, we would probably go on Wednesday morning as we can't make Monday or Tuesdays. Is your DS walking, mine loves climbing out of the big pool then going to the splash pool for about a minute then back again continously, so am always tired after swimming but figure it is probably good exercise for me anyway. We will try and get there next Wednesday.

tamula · 08/06/2005 19:32

Hi Horseshoe,

I am going to admit my ignorance and ask what is a Candle Party? I have a feeling its something very obvious but could you spell it out for dimbo's like me?!!

Halzer · 08/06/2005 20:08

Horseshoe...

I have been wondering too

loulabelle222 · 08/06/2005 20:45

yeah his walking alright!!! If i see you there i see u there then, i'll probably be waving or saying hello to the wrong person and they'll think i am nuts!

OP posts:
loulabelle222 · 08/06/2005 20:46

its where they have all different types of candles set up (some are v beautiful)for you to smell ..etc and then u can order from the person holding the party. always great for a laugh. People hold ann summers ones and virgin vie parties just the same!

OP posts:
horseshoe · 09/06/2005 12:08

Thats right.....I must admit I wasn't into candles much before as never got a chance to use them but after going to a party the other week i love putting DD into bed and putting on a few candles. Makes my house smell lovely too.

fee77 · 09/06/2005 13:54

I didn't desert you - i went away for a long weekend! Goresbrook sounds nice, i will have to try it. I take dd to swimming lessons at Hornchurch pool, which is ok but nothing to write home about. Dagenham is ok too - it is always nice and clean.
Lukesmamma, there is an outdoor pool in st georges park in Brentwood. There is a play area too with a sand pit, and woods to walk through.
And by the way playtown in romford has closed down, it is apparently going to be reopened by someone else.
Sorry can't make the candle party, but have fun.

Pinotmum · 10/06/2005 20:37

Hi Fee77 hope you had a nice time. Playtown closed, oh dear!

Horseshoe, sorry can't make the Candle Party as I have a committee meeting for the pre-school ds goes to. Basically tea and cakes and a little natter

Bubbaloo, any news yet??

bubbaloo · 10/06/2005 20:59

hi fee,

hope you also had a nice weekend away.

no news yet pinotmum-thanks for asking!
im officially "late" now and very fed up.im eating curry and pineapple till it's coming out of my ears!
i've an appointment at harold wood on thursday to discuss induction etc...so hopefully he'll make an appearence before then.

hope you are well-enjoy bb!!!

Pinotmum · 10/06/2005 21:01

Oh got my fingers crossed for you. I was supposed to be induced with dd and ds but dd came along just in time. Ds wasn't so keen to come out so I was induced but it was great and I had a good birth. Keep positive
