Would anyone be up for it?

Could it be arranged somewhere in the middle of the country?

And would Carrie and Justine be interested?

I quite liked my original idea ...a picnic and then a restaurant (so you could bring children if you wanted) and then bars/clubs for the adventurous.... but in that case people would have to sort their own hotel etc...

jayzmummy · 13/04/2005 09:56

argh!! that link didnt work!!!! Here it is again here

flashingnose · 13/04/2005 10:04

Thank you

FastasleepTheInsomniac · 13/04/2005 10:09

Well I'm off because my DS is driving me up the wall lol.... will have another good think as to what'll work best and then come back to it later

Gobbledigook · 13/04/2005 10:13

16th in Manchester - perfick.

Gobbledigook · 13/04/2005 10:23

Is there a new thread yet?

FastasleepTheInsomniac · 13/04/2005 10:42

There's a sign up here if you can do the dates thread, although it's gone a bit to pot because we're a bit undecided whether to do the restaurant and bars/clubs idea or the set hotel thing.... I don't want to make anyone angry by barging in and saying 'do it my way'... but I think the hoetl would be quite expensive, the rooms are about £60 normally, and I don't know how much the party bit would be but you're talking food drink entertainment and the set hotel party fee....whereas I thought a nice cheapish restaurant and then bars/clubs if you were up for it and sort your own accommodation (maybe the travel lodge)... I don't know which is best!

FastasleepTheInsomniac · 13/04/2005 10:43

And I've lost the ability to type lol

Gobbledigook · 13/04/2005 10:54

Perhaps just do a cheaper restaurant, go out for drinks and let people arrange a hotel but you could put up a list of 2 or 3 cheap ones including the travel inn (or whatever) and people will probably talk to each other and book the same one anyway.

Not an issue for me as I'll make my way home on the Metrolink!

FastasleepTheInsomniac · 13/04/2005 10:55

I could go home too as I'm in Liverpool... but Newbarnsleygirl thought of the hotel thing and it was her idea and I don't want to get in the way

FastasleepTheInsomniac · 13/04/2005 10:56

I'll look like one of those MN Alphafemales if I start taking over!

Gobbledigook · 13/04/2005 10:57

and me - I can't help sticking my oar in!

Newbarnsleygirl · 13/04/2005 14:02

I don't mind you sticking your oars in

Having thought about it now I think like you have said do the picnic, then pick a restaurant and for those who want to go on to bars/clubs etc can and book your own hotel.

I'll have to stop cos I don't drive and by the time the meal is up it will be too late to go back on train. I will tell DH tonight and give him the option of coming and bring dd or staying at home and I'll go on my own by train.

Yay! I don't drive either but I can stay out like a naughty girl for once.... I could make sure no one got drunkenly lost etc because I'll be about 6 months pregnant lol...hopefully the picnic will be the best bit

Newbarnsleygirl · 13/04/2005 14:29
