Hi
My name is Jan and I have a 5 month old dd - just extended my maternity leave for another 3 months (hurray!) - anyone fancy meeting for a coffee in Stoke Newington one afternoon?

I'll be around Friday 3.30pm, JanX

outtolunch · 01/04/2005 11:24

Hi - off to look at a car but will swing by clissold park if i get back on time.

Arabica · 01/04/2005 11:43

I'll be wearing jeans with pink trainers and I will be with DS who's 4 in April and wearing grey tracksuit bottoms! We'll aim for cafe 3.30pm.

Arabica · 01/04/2005 11:44

Are you coming too JanX? I have a really, really appalling memory for faces so if I appear to blank you please don't take offence, I am just thick at recognising people.

frogs · 01/04/2005 11:51

I might well join you, as I'm on my own with dd2 (other kids at p-i-ls in Wiltshire, and house is full of builders.

Haven't read whole thread, but presumably we're talking cafe in Clissold park? Might be a bit after 3.30, though, by the time dd2 has finished her siesta. I'm quite tall, blond hair and have a small beady-eyed 15 month old in a Maclaren buggy. Ashamed to say I can't remember what said baby is wearing today -- she's with childminder atm.

janx · 01/04/2005 13:15

I might come although I have had the worst nights sleep for ages - dd crying every hour from 7- 2 !! I will be the haggard looking one - glasses, brown reddy hair with maclaren buggy. Shall we meet outside? as it is so nice and I don't think I have the energy to cart the buggy up those cafe steps

janx · 01/04/2005 19:13

Nice to meet you all - yes lets do it again soon
Arabica I meant to ask you again about Tamsyn. I am going to phone her again next week and I remembered the last time I met you - you thought it might help if you spoke to her - I can't remember now where she said she was going to be based -if you could let me know that would be great
Have a nice weekend everyone

Yes, good to meet you all. I've just hosed a very sandy dd2 off in the kitchen sink! Hope to see you again soon.

Arabica · 02/04/2005 00:40

Great to see y'all. DS took half the sandpit home in his trackies.
Jan, Tam will still be just off Church St when she finalises the purchase of her new place, she hasn't exchanged contracts yet. How many days a week are you looking for and would you want all day or just half days? Let me know and I can ask her on Tuesday. Was it to start in Sept?

janx · 02/04/2005 18:43

Arabica
I'm looking for 3 whole days a week from June - from say 8.30am - 4pm. DD will be 9 months in June - how much does she charge?

OP posts:
Arabica · 03/04/2005 00:13

Not sure what it costs per day as I pay half day fee worked out monthly.

janx · 03/04/2005 19:46

Thanks in advance for having a word - look forward to hearing from you

OP posts:
janx · 05/04/2005 19:24

Hi Arabica
Wondered if you had a chance to talk to Tamsyn today?

OP posts:
Arabica · 05/04/2005 21:53

No, sorry, one of the other kids took a tumble and was crying her eyes out when I went to collect O so I forgot to ask. But I will ask tomorrow, provided we are actually goingat the moment DS on sofa muttering things about Noddy in a feverish sleephe has slight fever.

zammo · 06/04/2005 08:55

Janx - Did the same as you... Managed to lock myself and DS out of the house for a whole afternoon. Won't be doing that again!

Anyone fancy Clissold park Monday afternoon?

janx · 06/04/2005 12:27

Look Ds is feeling better Arabica - my dd is a bit off colour today - teething and runny nose. Much appreciate it re Tamsyn - am getting a bit anxious now as other leads have got nowhere

OP posts:
janx · 06/04/2005 12:28

Zammo - glad to see someone is as scatty as me! I have now glued my keys to my hand.....clissold would be good if weather is nice on monday

OP posts:
outtolunch · 06/04/2005 13:36

I can do monday afternoon too. If the weather improves I would be up for a stroll and or coffee this week too - anyone else???

janx · 08/04/2005 09:35

If weather is grotty next week - does anyone fancy taking the nippers to the swimming pool? I have been to britannia before and that was really nice. Wanted to go to Sunstone as it is so close, but you have to be a member

OP posts:
outtolunch · 08/04/2005 16:00

Janx - great idea! Although i am hoping it will warm up again soon. Where is britannia? I think it is a fiver for non members at sunstone.

Arabica · 08/04/2005 16:16

Sunstone mums/babies session is 2pm to 2.45pm on Mondays. Unfortunately DS really isn't keen on swimming but I could meet up with you in the park afterwards?
