My name is Jan and I have a 5 month old dd - just extended my maternity leave for another 3 months (hurray!) - anyone fancy meeting for a coffee in Stoke Newington one afternoon?

Hi Janx - so sorry I didn't get back to you. I haven't been able to get to my computer for three/four days. I've had a sick MIL in the room where my mac is (she's over from Oz). I also have a sick DH - I'm living in a house of cold and flu! So, sorry I disappeared for a bit there... I'll be free again, either this coming Friday afternoon or next Monday afternoon - hopefully I won't have caught any bugs...

DS and I might be in the park although we have to catch a bus at 3 to go and visit DH at work.

Will look out for a 5ft 7in stunner possibly wearing an orange hat?... I'm still short and somewhat curly and feeling positively gorgeous today

sorry did not respond - have had a rubbish few days - locked myself out on Thursday - luckily had the baby with me - dp was working in Coventry that day so was not able to get back until 8pm! Did not have laptop until today as dp had at work..still treated myself to lovely massage to get rid of all the stress. Maybe meet up next week?

Friday was impossible for us too as DH came down with bloke pneumonia (a woman would call it a cold with a slight fever).
Anyone ever go to Springfield park? They have a lovely cafe, and lots of big shady trees to sit under with a little one.

Hi Kate79, I can't make it I'm afraid but hope you have a good walk in the park (assume you are going to Clissold). Will probably be in the park later in the week.

would love to but am planning on taking ds for a swim at 2 - i may go for a stroll earlier when he wakes up. let me know when you set off.

anyone fancy going to springfield park this week? - you mentioned it arabica and it is such a nice park with a better cafe than clissold imo. I can do tues or weds around 3.30 - if it is not easy for you to get to - I am up for clissold aswell

Hi Jan just seen your message. We are probably going to Clissold today just after 1pm. Unfortunately can't do Springfield tomorrow but I am around over Easter as can't afford to go anywhere more exotic!

Have a nice time in Clissold - am going to go out after dd nap - am getting cabin fever as I have not been out yet today.....

Hope you enjoyed Springfield. Clissold was SO crowded one parent was overheard telling her kid not to play in the sandpit in case she got nits!

well i had a lovely day in clissold park and would love to meet up with anyone next week tuesday onwards lets make a plan now and stick to it. jan i woukd love to go to springfeild park never been.

I'm up for Springfield or Clissold next Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon.

Angel is a bit of a trek for me - do you live in Islington? Highbury is easier if that is near for you

Would love to meet up with everyone - although not sure if I can make tomorrow (maybe). Can do Highbury or Clissold but Springfield looks like quite the trek with out a car.
