HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OF YOU

Now that we've more or less survived the festive season how about reviving our meet-ups for 2005?

I'm a bit busy next week and the week after with dr. appointments and school interviews for dd, but then my diary is pretty bleak and empty.

So who would like to do what and when

OP posts:

Dh is trying bless maybe it's pressure, plus image your MUM in the next room... can some some effect.

Well we will wait and see. But i am with you if dh's bits would be missing too!!!!

On another note, do you two little ones always seem to be ill??? DD seems to have been ill for nearly a month??? she is great within herself goes off to school but always got a cough, cold runny nose?? she drinks water eats fruit. Plus any cures for her static hair.. ot should i start a new thread?

yingers74 · 22/02/2005 14:43

slink - good luck to both of us on the ttc front. Hopefully before the end of the year we will have some good news.

mrs - tah for your supportive messages. I think having a miscarriage came as a shock to me. Got pregnant quickly with dd and this last pregnancy was pretty quick too so going back to ttc so soon has been quite humbling as I thought miscarriages would not happen to me - stupid I know.

Slink · 22/02/2005 14:53

Yingers wasn't aware you had a miscarriage, so sorry but yep i know what you mean about it not happening to you, i think that.. but you never know. Yes good luck to us both, we can share a baby shower??? xxxxx

MrsBigD · 23/02/2005 07:38

Slink - yes my 2 seem to be coughing and spluttering constantly. Then again dd never really sits still long enough to actually rest and get better. She's now taken to using ds's calgel for her sore throat! Also what I found helps are those little homeopathic tablets you can get at boots as dd treats them as 'sweeties'...
for a runny nose: Pulsatilla
colds and flue in general : aconite and nat mur
coughs : aconite for tickly, belladonna for dry cough, chamomilla is good for lots of things
that's just a few. If you go to the boots website they've got a whole list on there.

As for MIL in the next room... well that explains a lot . If my mum would be living with us there'd be no nookie!

MrsBigD · 23/02/2005 07:40

yingers - miscarriage can be very stressful I know as one of my close friends mc'd just before I found out I was pregnant. Since then we haven't been all that close as she's still trying to get to terms with it, and that was over a year ago. So take might take you some time to get over it but you'll be just fine

Slink · 23/02/2005 08:39

Mrs thanks. I use the homopathic tabs from boots, but like your dd mine is not the sitting on the sofa i am ill girl she is more lets carry on and i'll wipe my nose on the nearest thing close to me.............clothes, clothes.
Like to know i am not a bad mum who can't keep my dd well enough.

DH is off today so i may not get on this much, off hols shopping yehhhhhhh, (how many times have i said that and not gone.. i am this time BELIEVE ME )

Slink · 23/02/2005 15:35

Hi you may already know this, but just got back from Ikea and had no idea the play thingy there was free, so if anyone wants to meet up for a coffee thats great place to go, bit of a way i know but 1 hour free to shop mmmmmmmmmm great.

Came out with nothing today though.. did have dh with me

MrsBigD · 23/02/2005 15:54

yingers74 · 25/02/2005 13:59

hey ladies,

looking forward to an evening out. Jsut recovering from dd's birthday yesterday, 15 toddlers running about is a bit mad, but good fun all round. DD did not get why all these kids were playing with her stuff so went a bit weepy for a while but once a few of them started running up and down the corridor, all was well again.

Take care

Slink · 25/02/2005 15:49
