Welcome to our new home Berrie, Zebedeedoodah, Oggsfrog and Binkleandflip.
Hope you all find your way here.

OP posts:
HollyBerrie · 28/12/2007 15:46

Oggs, if you see this, what time are you arriving / departing from London?

LyraSilvertinsel · 28/12/2007 22:43

Aaaargh! DS2 has just gone to bed. He fell asleep on the way home from soft play and then just wasn't tired so spent the evening watching Meet The Fockers with us and tending to our imaginary injuries with his new doctor set. I think I can still hear him moving about upstairs.

HollyBerrie · 29/12/2007 10:09

Yikes Lyra!

Lee's story tonight 5pm. BBC1.

LyraSilvertinsel · 29/12/2007 15:17

And he still got up at 6 a-bloody-m. Little monkey.

LyraSilvertinsel · 29/12/2007 15:18

Damn, damn, damn, forgot to set the video for 5pm (I'm at work). Will have to attempt to watch it here with headphones on. Luckily I have a TV on my desk.

HollyBerrie · 29/12/2007 17:29

You must be watching it now. I'm recording it...I hope! Can't allow any distractions to spoil my leering!

HollyBerrie · 29/12/2007 17:30

When do you stop Saturdays? Dos Dh look after them then?

HollyBerrie · 29/12/2007 17:31

Sorry DP...

RTKangaSANTAMummy · 29/12/2007 17:37

Have any of you tried his Chilli receipe that he cooked last week on TV

I am wanting a Chilli receipe for New Year Eve and thought I would try his one

What was it like?

Is it tasty?

HollyBerrie · 29/12/2007 17:39

Wht Chilli recipe Kanga?

HollyBerrie · 29/12/2007 17:41

Don't tell me you know something we don't

LyraSilvertinsel · 29/12/2007 18:06

Ah, it was lovely Berrie.

I stop Saturdays after next weekend (well I'll be doing one per month, instead of 4). DP looks after the boys. He has done since DS1 was 3 months old. I think it's really helped to make them close to their daddy that he has them on his own once a week.
They went to the Imperial War Museum today while I came to work .

Kanga, don't really know what you're on about. I did see him on some Saturday morning cooking programme the other week but I don't know what he made and I certainly didn't copy down the recipe and make it myself. I'm not that sad big a fan

RTKangaSANTAMummy · 29/12/2007 18:23

I wanted a receipe for NYE and wondered about doing this one

It did look good

I will ask the MNetters for their recommendations too

LyraSilvertinsel · 29/12/2007 18:28

Looks fine to me but then I'm no expert on chilli.

RTKangaSANTAMummy · 29/12/2007 18:31

...

oggsfrog · 29/12/2007 20:03

Thanks for the cards Berrie and Lyra .

What was Lee's story like then?? hmm??

I bought the album and dh wrapped it and gave it me for Christmas .....

...... what a load of crap . I only liked one song. I think it was number 7 (can't remember what it was called.... obviously it was very memorable ). The rest sounds like boring, seventies dross.
It doesn't showcase his voice at all. Whoever advised him wants a good slap. If he has any aspirations to be a 'pop singer' then he should have waited. What we all wanted were some time honoured belters......show tunes or big band classics. I'm really disappointed with it .

Berrie. My flight arrives at the airport at 11.30am. Then I'll need to get the Stansted Express, then the Tube.

LyraSilvertinsel · 29/12/2007 20:25

Listen again Oggs, it will grow on you (a bit)
Winner's Story was really good, tons of behind the scenes footage, like at the Diana concert when he was bouncing about like a big kid with the excitement of it.
It's a shame I forgot to tape it, I could have posted it to you. Berrie's taped it though...
Did you get to watch Joseph Meets Maria or do you need me to post it?

HollyBerrie · 29/12/2007 20:30

I have just finished watching my recording of the programme. Ah...it was nice Oggs. He was a sweetie though I sensed his vocabulary might be a tad limited... it has made me really excited about going to see the show with you all.
Lyra, Dh always enjoys having the kids on his own, I can imagine it is really good for them. It's sometimes frustrating being the resident expert on them. It will be lovely for you all to have weekends together now though.

HollyBerrie · 29/12/2007 20:31

Oh sorry it's not taped, it's a hard disk recorder...

LyraSilvertinsel · 29/12/2007 20:32

I know, we'll even be able to do weekends away and everything. DP is going to miss it though. Even the boys call Saturday 'Daddy and boys day'.

LyraSilvertinsel · 29/12/2007 20:34

Yikes, we're up to 996 posts (997 now). We need to start a new thread before I get locked out like last time. Any inspiration for a new name? I don't think this one's been a huge success...

HollyBerrie · 29/12/2007 20:35

Dierdre Barlow fan club?

LyraSilvertinsel · 29/12/2007 20:36

That might imply we're still bitter about you know who's comment many weeks ago.
I thought we could just put our names in the title, then people won't come on getting all sniffy saying 'I thought this thread would be for anyone'.

HollyBerrie · 29/12/2007 20:36

Oggs if you know anyone on Broadband you have 6 days left to watch it on the internet but DH says it's too protected to download and put on a disk and that it would take you 2 days to download on dial up...

HollyBerrie · 29/12/2007 20:37

bitter... moi?
