Tee double Hee Lyra, have just found your card behind the step ladder. Made me larf!

I need to go through a massive pile of unopened Christmas cards I'm waiting for DH to get home so we can do it 'together'. Ahhhh.

Today is the last day in the office, and I'm still without internet at home, so I'm not sure I'll be around again until 2nd Jan in which case, big hugs, kisses and all round general cheer to you all - you've all been such a great support to me...and you make me laugh to.

We also have our office lunch today, which is my first in years, so I'll be gone this afternoon. All I'm waiting for now is to see if DH makes the train or if I have to remain sober in order to get DS (CM's DH is in hospital so she can't help....long story). It's all pretty knife edge stuff, I can tell you!

You might want to open mine without DH as there's a Lee reference (iirc he's not too impressed with all this Lee lusting). it's in a red envelope.

I also had rather a 'strong' dream about David Tennant last night. I have no idea where that came from, but it was very nice!

Have been to Doctors wth DD and SS. She was running half an hour late.
I kept them relatively amused and not running round or climbing on the seats...ok they did this a bit... for MORE THAN HALF A FOOKING HOUR!!! We looked at the tree, the naitivity set, the books, the toys we played guess what's in my hand we played hide the tissue, we pretended to ring each other on the phone and then ringing the doorbell, we looked out of the window, we played with the 2 toys, we looked at the crappy books. We did all of that again ..and again. It was torture, I'd rather give birth...then we did it all again in the chemist. DD only got the tops off the vaseline twice but she didn't get time to poke her fingers in which is just as well as the last visit means that I have enough vaseline to last a lifetime.Are everybody's children so hard to keep still or am I supposed to start yelling at them in public as I guessed the miserable people around me were thinking to themselves?

I can spell nativity too..

Ooooh, help yourself to some mince pies Berrie. You deserve them. Funnily enough, DS also did the same thing with vaseline last time we were in the chemist!

So...you lot and everyone else were all going out on Christmas do's and I was feeling pretty sorry for myself as we rarely go out and I never get to dress up or feel sexy so Dh and I decided to go out for our own Christmas 'Do'....

Go for it Berrie. I know I'm a sad b***d!

Latest update. He's in a queue a mile long at Paddington to get a boarding pass. He has a first class ticket but they're not letting anyone on without a seat. Grrrrrr. First Bloody Great Useless Western.

We couldn't book a table at anywhere we initially wanted to go but remembered a restaurant we'd wanted to go to when it opened a year or so ago.
We live quite a way out of town now and DH wanted to catch the bus. I wasn't keen and offered to drive but he persuaded me.
I borrowd a dress from my sister, bought a new bra (My Mummy bra's didn't do the job)...

Sorry...kids causing a fuss...

Used a last precious drop of my posh shampoo and conditioner...put on my new boots I'd never worn... put on bust boosting bra...applied slap with care for once...

This is good stuff Berrie. I'm just wearing jeans and a clean cardy, reeking of smoke because the toaster committed suicide by bursting into flames this morning.

No further news yet.....but someone's given us some Veuve Cliquot to get us going. I can have a wee drop

Clomped off up hill for 20 minute walk to bus stop in village...where we stand for the bus with a load of spotty teenagers and it doesn't come but the sign says 20 minutes so we wait and wait and the sign changes to 58 minutes and I have a massive strop because this doesn't make me feel at all glamorous or sexy....will have to wait for next installment dh home and have to take him to his 'do'
