Welcome to our new home Berrie, Zebedeedoodah, Oggsfrog and Binkleandflip.
Hope you all find your way here.

its very mysterious, I hope she shows up soon. So what are your plans for today Berrie?

binkleandflip · 11/11/2007 14:17

do you think we should do a new easy to find thread so she'll not miss us? like five go mad in london mark 2

Berrie · 11/11/2007 14:45

And miss seeing Lyra getting told off as soon as she'd opened her mouth?

She'll work it out I reckon.
Well, we've been to the orchard to prepare a bed for planting raspberries. I've planted some sewwt williams and wallflowers at home and cut back some flowering bushes. I've tried to read the paper while assuring ds I was watching Postman Pat with him by making 1 minutely comments...seemed to work.
How about you?

binkleandflip · 11/11/2007 15:31

oh not a lot, done dd's homework reading with her and generally just slobbing around the house. We went to a charity dinner on Thursday night and I was ever so slightly worse for wear all Friday and to be honest I am only just feeling human today

Am getting far too old for midweek nights out

Why did Lyra get told off? What have I missed?

Berrie · 11/11/2007 16:14

Oh not told off as such. At the start of this thread she welcomed us by name and someone got huffy because they had looked in hoping to go on a theatre meet up.

Berrie · 11/11/2007 18:35

Feeling low

binkleandflip · 11/11/2007 20:01

oh no what's wrong Berrie?

LyraSilvertongue · 11/11/2007 20:09

Hello! That's three of us now then, just Zeb and Oggs to find us now.
This Oggs disappearance is most mysterious. Maybe one of us should get her mobile number if she ever gets back online so we'll know if her internet connection goes down again.

LyraSilvertongue · 11/11/2007 20:10

Why are you feeling low, Berrie?

OP posts:
binkleandflip · 11/11/2007 23:08

Hey Berrie, hope you are doing ok, sorry I've not been back on for a while, something to do with my dh incessently tampering with connections etc all over the house and mucking up the 'puter in the process.

Lyra, was it you who had bought the whole of ADWD on DVD and if so, where did you get it from?

LyraSilvertongue · 11/11/2007 23:13

There was a bloke on Digital Spy selling the dvds for £15. That was ages ago though so not sure if he's still doing it.
I did start watching them again when DP was away a lot but only got halfway through.

Berrie · 12/11/2007 07:06

Oops sorry for disapperaring.
Dunno what's up with me...just been feeling really down for a few days which hasn't been like me for a few months now.
I could put forward a few theories but it seems a little self indulgent so I won't bother.

Berrie · 12/11/2007 09:28

Have booked my train tickets. Just waiting on Oggs to confirm her travel then I'll book hotel.

Zebedeedoodah · 12/11/2007 09:32

Morning all! And a big hug to Berrie. Please feel free to unburden if it helps - I've done it to you in the past, and it really did help me.

I'm now pc-less at home until probably Christmas as the builders started this morning to bash the house around a bit more, so all the pooter stuff is unplugged. I'm told it will 'all be over by Christmas', but I've watched to many Grand Designs. So it will be strictly work hours access only (hehehe)

Any news of Oggs yet?

Berrie · 12/11/2007 10:01

Zeb..will you have a floor..gasp?

Zebedeedoodah · 12/11/2007 13:02

Now now Berrie, let's not get ahead of ourselves.... I won't have a floor for another two years - we're actually waiting for the oak to dry out before we can use it for floorboards. But I'm promised cheapo carpet as an interim. And one whole side of my house has windows

binkleandflip · 12/11/2007 13:25

Hey Berrie, you sound a little brighter today which is good, you can always unload on us, you know that

Will try Digital Spy just in case - seeing Keith on saturday made me feel a bit nostalgic to see them all singing together again sigh!

LyraSilvertongue · 12/11/2007 13:39

There's always the christmas extravaganza to look forward to, where some of the Josephs are supposed to be singing together.
I'll try and remember the name of the Digital Spy man.

OP posts:
Berrie · 12/11/2007 13:45

Thanks both of you. I've nothing to unload really. I've suffered from depression for long enough now to know that it just is if that makes any sense. We went to Ikea this morning and it came to a bit of a head really. I felt panicky and felt like just sitting down on the floor and saying, 'that's it , I give up' I took ds to preschool this afternoon but it wasn't on as one of the childrn had died at the weekend. That put things in perspective slightly though I can't say it cheered me up.

Berrie · 12/11/2007 13:46

There is an afterwards documentary like they did for Maria around Christmas too.

LyraSilvertongue · 12/11/2007 13:50

One of the children died!!?? How awful. Was he/she one of DSs friends?

OP posts:
Berrie · 12/11/2007 14:02

I didn't want to hang around and let DS work out what they were talking about. I didn't recognise the name of the child but Ds might well have known her. He doesn't really have friends yet. He is a bit confused and anxious about death since dh's Mum died earlier in the year and I'm not sure how to broach it though I think I must since they will probably talk to the children about it at the next session.

binkleandflip · 12/11/2007 14:23

oh that does put stuff into perspective you're right. WHat a horrible shame.

Sorry you're going through the mill a bit Berrie, Ikea probably wasnt a great idea, it's enough to make anyone want to sit on the floor and give up!

I always set off to Ikea quite excited with big buying plans and come staggering out 3 hours later with a bag of 100 sodding tealights and not a lot else

Berrie · 12/11/2007 14:37

I buy scissors at Ikea
I thought a little retail therapy and a bit of a project might cheer me up. I had an idea that a new unit with drawers underneath the light switch would give me extra room to hide all the stuff that lies around in, but the nice ones were too expensive (about the price of a night in The Strand Palace )
Ah well.

binkleandflip · 12/11/2007 14:41

ok I am back off to the hypnosis weight-loss lady on Friday in a bid to help me stop eating biscuits etc so I can be primed and lovely for our meet-up

We sound like a right bunch dont we? But I'm not half looking forward to our get together - it will be hear before we know it!! Just wish Oggs would come on the thread and worried...
