That's crap Binkle. I'd demand compensation if I were you. What did you get him? What did he get you? Was DD excited?
I got a lovely Billabong skirt in the sales for our meet-up next month. I also got two more Fat Face skirts, a pink purse, a belt and an iPod ITrip thingumy. The shops were so packed I was losing the will to live after little more than an hour.

binklebells · 27/12/2007 20:54

I had ordered him a punch bag and boxing mitts as he has been enjoying doing boxing in his training sessions at the gym, He got me a lovely watch, a mini laptop and assorted dvds and cd's (Lee was in there!!) and also got a nice onyx and silver cocktail ring and earrings from dd. She was really excited christmas morning but refused to sleep at Grandmas last night because she didnt trust mummy not to play with her new things whilst she was away I must admit I have taken particular interest in a teddy bear that glows in the dark which I would have KILLED FOR when I was five!

So, what is your skirt like? You are very courageous to brave the sales - I am not very good in the face of jostling!!

LyraSilvertinsel · 27/12/2007 21:03

Billabong skirt.
It was in the adult section in an adult size, although the one on the website is the girls' version.

LyraSilvertinsel · 27/12/2007 21:05

Fat Face skirt

LyraSilvertinsel · 27/12/2007 21:08

What do you think of Lee's cd? I haven't played it in weeks...

binklebells · 27/12/2007 21:14

They are both really nice, I seriously need to be buying a London outfit soon though now isnt a good time to be trying stuff on - I have serious post-Xmas bloat

I havent listened to my cd's as yet as I only really have them on in the car and I haven't been out in mine yet.

LyraSilvertinsel · 27/12/2007 21:22

btw, what's a mini laptop? Just like a normal laptop but extra small?

binklebells · 27/12/2007 21:26

Apparently its this new in-demand gadget with a pared down operating system so its super quick (which it is) and it only measures about eight inches across so fits in my handbag! Am using it now and it is pretty neat although hard to get used to the keys because they are obviously closer together and not where my fingers normally go....if you know what I mean?

LyraSilvertinsel · 27/12/2007 21:37

Sounds interesting. Link please.

LyraSilvertinsel · 27/12/2007 21:48

Ooooooh, nice.
I want one.

binklebells · 27/12/2007 21:54

It was a complete suprise so I was rather chuffed (although I perhaps should have seen it coming as dh was always telling me that me going on mumsnet too much was making his work systems in the London office crash as his computer is networked into his firm's system or something - I'm not very techy as I'm sure you can tell

LyraSilvertinsel · 27/12/2007 21:56

So now you can MN anywhere. Even on the loo .

binklebells · 27/12/2007 21:57

Like I havent already

Am kidding...!

Zeb hasnt been around for a while has she?

LyraSilvertinsel · 27/12/2007 22:00

She's off work and has no internet connection at home. Its been quiet here in general. People having real lives and all that. Tut.
I'm supposed to be watching Extras Christmas special with DP but I've got my laptop on the sofa next to me.

binklebells · 27/12/2007 22:03

Yes am watching too. It's alright but to be honest I've gone off Ricky G a bit, think he has started believing his own hype a bit too much of late..

LyraSilvertinsel · 27/12/2007 22:04

How long is this thing? Its been on over an hour...

binklebells · 27/12/2007 22:05

hour and a half I think...

LyraSilvertinsel · 27/12/2007 22:05

That's almost feature film length.

binklebells · 27/12/2007 22:07

I know, I'm going to switch it off in a min and go and finish off the brie and crackers that are taunting me from the fridge... then as of Jan 2nd it is Atkins Induction all the way!

LyraSilvertinsel · 27/12/2007 22:09

I'm scoffing a large bowl of peanuts and cashews.
And glugging a large glass of Pinot Noir.

binklebells · 27/12/2007 22:12

And why not? We can always be good tomorrow right?! Plus you have just reminded me that we have cashews too...am going to root them out now!

HollyBerrie · 28/12/2007 09:08

I always miss your chats!
Like the skirts Lyra, want your Christmas present Binkle!

LyraSilvertinsel · 28/12/2007 11:45

I went to put on my new M&S knickers this morning and discovered I've bought size 22 by mistake. They're enormous! Back to the shops I go

HollyBerrie · 28/12/2007 15:45

They wouldn't fit even me!
