DP's birthday is on the 4th so I can't start before then. that'll leave me 26 days. I'll be dusting off my old copy of Atkins...

binklebells · 22/12/2007 21:28

Oh yes, agree, they are times when only 'the Atkins 14 day induction' will do!!

I'm doing a Berrie and getting off to bed now so I'll say night (only 39 sleeps to go!!)

LyraSilvertinsel · 22/12/2007 21:38

Nighty night.

HollyBerrie · 22/12/2007 22:01

You can't do a Berrie at 9.28 pm, it's too late cheeky mare! We have just got rid of guests who could no longer ignore their hostess sliding down the chair practically snoring. this is VERY VERY late!!!

LyraSilvertinsel · 22/12/2007 22:21

Berrie, the night has just begun!

HollyBerrie · 23/12/2007 06:58

Door 23

binklebells · 23/12/2007 11:08

Ha Berrie!

Cant believe I went to bed earlier than you last night - a record surely

HollyBerrie · 23/12/2007 15:26

Yaaaaaaaaawn.....

HollyBerrie · 24/12/2007 08:05

Door 24 Yippeee!

LyraSilvertinsel · 24/12/2007 11:33

Ahhhh, lovely.
Are you all ready then? I spent four hours last night wrapping an enormous mountain of presents (for DP, boys, their aunties, grandparents etc) Never again will I leave it all to the last minute and do it all in one go.
Food shopping is done so were off into town to wander around the German market (if it's still there today) and look at the lights etc (and maybe pick up some last-minute bargains).

HollyBerrie · 24/12/2007 12:18

Hope you are having a lovely time Lyra. I've still to wrap the children's presents which will have to wait now. Mince pies to make for father Christmas...big pile of ironing which I might hide instead.
I wrote on the calendar this time last year on November to buy and wrap early....it didn't happen!
Looking forward to Lee tonight though might save it for after Christmas come to think of it.
Have a lovely christmas!

binklebells · 24/12/2007 16:07

Just to say have a lovely Christmas all and am really looking forward to meeting you all in the New Year

eggnoggsfrog · 24/12/2007 16:51

Wishing you all a very Messy Christmas

eggnoggsfrog · 24/12/2007 17:23

Ooh, ooh, Lyra. If you could possibly tape the Joseph Maria thing it would be fantastic. Will possibly be able to watch it but no guarantees, so that would be brilliant.
Looks like we're going to be spending a lovely evening in with Ken Dodd .....the sacrifices we make...
I've booked the tv for the Dr Who special tomorrow though... no way I'm missing that

HollyBerrie · 24/12/2007 18:46

Merry Christmas to you all too!

LyraSilvertinsel · 24/12/2007 23:10

I taped it Oggs so I can send it to you if you need it. Wasn't the duet at the end good? (assuming you watched it).
I'm now enjoying a nice chilled glass of bubbly after doing the last little bits (filling stockings, assembling ds2's new wooden fire station, putting sooty footprints on the floor ). Boys will be up at the crack of dawn so gotta go to bed soon.
Merry Christmas!

HollyBerrie · 26/12/2007 17:24

Evening all!
So...best present...worst present?

HollyBerrie · 26/12/2007 17:27

My worst present came from my sister and brother in law...
a vile 500 piece jigsaw with a 'funny' cartoon of a classroom full of naughty children, a book based on the Tony Robinson programme, The Worst Kids' Jobs in History and a book which I'd asked for which was ok.

Will need to give the best one some thought.

Oh yeah and what present did you not get?

HollyBerrie · 26/12/2007 17:28

Ungrateful old cow aren't I?

LyraSilvertinsel · 26/12/2007 19:48

My best present was a sewing machine (from DP - my idea). The intention is that I learn to sew then I'll be running up new curtains/cushions/clothes in the blink of an eye. It comes with an hour-long tutorial session at John Lewis.
Worst present - I didn't get any bad ones. I did, however, get two jewellery boxes (one from my sister, one from DP), which is odd because I don't know why they both thought of the same thing. Not that I've got any proper jewellery to go in it. I prefer the one from my sister but DP will be offended if I take his back.

LyraSilvertinsel · 26/12/2007 19:50

Jewellery box from sis

HollyBerrie · 26/12/2007 21:12

No worst presents?
Whose a lucky girl then?

LyraSilvertinsel · 27/12/2007 10:06

Morning ladies. We're off sale shopping today (DP's back at work tomorrow ).
He's gone already to buy some suits then we'll join him for lunch at Pizza Express then I'll have some time to shop while he takes DC home.
Not that I've got any money left to spend but i do have a Waterstones voucher.

HollyBerrie · 27/12/2007 16:53

Lordy how can you face the shops again so soon!

binklebells · 27/12/2007 19:15

Hi !!

Hope you all had a great Christmas, cant quite believe that we are just days away from the month of our meet-up

No worse present for me either - some strange ones but nothing awful and I've actually been a bit spoilt by dh which is lovely but I felt a bit bad because his present didnt turn up in the post! I was fuming as I paid £12 postage to guarantee delivery before Christmas and it still hasnt come!
