My breadmaker makes nice bread (smug emoticon)...It is however at the back of the pantry
I'd like a juicer too!

Zebedeedoodah · 08/10/2007 15:30

Maybe I should speak to my breadmaker nicely?

Big tip on the juicer - don't buy the magimix one with the removable drum inside. It's a b*tch to clean.

And I can't flog either of them as both were pressies from DH . He's now sworn of giving me any more gadgets.

Berrie · 08/10/2007 15:33

Yeah...you'd rather have a floor!
Perhaps you should try my recipe?

Zebedeedoodah · 08/10/2007 15:35

Floor....swoon. I remember floors.

OK, hand over the recipe. It's got to be worth a try!

Berrie · 08/10/2007 15:37

Doh! Knew you'd say that...hang on...

Zebedeedoodah · 08/10/2007 15:40

It's ok, I won't be rushing home to do it tonight - I can't be bothered to stop on the way home for flour. Mine's a Panasonic btw.

Berrie · 08/10/2007 15:41

2 teaspoons golden granulated sugar
2 teaspoons salt
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
570g/5 cups unbleached strong white bread flour
7g sachet fast action / easy blend dried yeast
350ml/ 12floz/1 1/2 cups cold water

Add in this order:
sugar
salt
oil
water
flour
yeast

basic loaf setting (3 hrs 13 mins ish)

Zebedeedoodah · 08/10/2007 15:45

Olive oil! A-ha! That's the secret.

Berrie · 08/10/2007 15:54

Possibly! Might still not meet your high standards!

binkleandflip · 08/10/2007 16:01

My breadmaker was relegated sometime ago - it resides at the back of the cupboard with my george foreman grill lol!

LyraSilvertongue · 08/10/2007 18:47

My breadmaker makes nice bread too. I put two tablespoons of butter in it though.

MrsSeanSlater · 09/10/2007 09:04

Binkle, I've just seen Basil Brush and I'm amazed you think that horrid man looks like my dh. How very dare you?

Berrie · 09/10/2007 10:04

I am surrounded by mountains of clothes...I have lost the will to live....
When confronted by the mountain of clean unironed washing from the holiday, I decided to clear out all the clothes we don't wear and put away the clean ones we do wear unironed...hence the piles 3 times the size of before...we've zero room in our house to store the old clothes...sigh

Zebedeedoodah · 09/10/2007 11:14

Binliners and Oxfam Berrie. It's the only way!

Berrie · 09/10/2007 11:23

But we might get thinner one day!

Berrie · 10/10/2007 07:41

What are you all up to today?
I'm going to drop ds at pre school then head to mothercare to take a b'day present back for dd and swap it for something I want for her Then I'm going to call at B&Q for some sealing strip for kickboards.
Fun fun fun!

Zebedeedoodah · 10/10/2007 10:44

Hmm. DS has conjunctivitis so we have to visit the doc later for drops so that nursery will let him across their threshold tomorrrow. We're also going to visit Jewsons to look at tiles and baths & things for my new bathroom - you never know, one of this days I might even get my floor

Berrie · 10/10/2007 11:07

Back now...no sealing strips but dd now has 2 very nice tops instead of a paint your own dolls tea set

Berrie · 10/10/2007 11:09

I find it hard to imagine your no floor Boing. Do you walk on bare earth or hop across joists or something?

whatshouldidoaboutthis · 10/10/2007 11:11

I'm catching up on housework (yawn). We're out to much these days that nothing gets done for days.

MrsSeanSlater · 10/10/2007 11:13

Oops.
Will be back to my real name later. Shhhhh!

Berrie · 10/10/2007 12:27

Do you ever feel that you only have the slightest grip on your life? That you have little control over anything be it eating, drinking, housework? Sigh.
My house is a pit, I've got a headache from the homebrew (I think, I don't remember having much) and I can't seem to do anything about it...

MrsSeanSlater · 10/10/2007 12:29

You're feeling demotivated. Have you not had much sleep? I feel like that sometimes when the house is a pigsty and I don't know where to start.

Berrie · 10/10/2007 12:42

I've had loads of sleep. I went to bed at 8.30 on Monday, 9 yesterday but I still feel tired and unenergetic. DC are driving me mad...

MrsSeanSlater · 10/10/2007 12:54

Maybe you're getting too much sleep. I know on the odd occasions I get more than eight hours it makes me feel lethargic and headachey.
