Put your feet up Binkle and ignore the snotties.

binkleandflip · 06/11/2007 14:46

thanks Zeb, I'll just have half if you dont mind - I've slimming like a girl posessed in readiness for our meet-up - I want lots of space for drinks/ice creams/kebab for supper? on our night out!

LyraSilverSparklers · 06/11/2007 15:02

Me too Binkle, I'm determined to be back in my size 12 clothes without them feeling tight by our meet-up.
Berrie, I think it was the real you but as is often the case with dreams the facial features etc were non-specific.
Where is Oggs? I'm guessing her internet connection's let her down again.
Binkle, which thread in particular? Link please.

Zebedeedoodah · 06/11/2007 15:07

I'll join you in that size 12 ambition. I have now accepted I'll never fit in any of my size 10 skirts again, but a 12 is do-able.
Oh, and I'm still not drinking in the week - I tried a glass of red last night but really didn't fancy it. I poured it back after one mouthful . And still off the fags too. . Now I just need to bin the biccies.....

LyraSilverSparklers · 06/11/2007 15:10

I'm still losing weight, slowly, and I'm sure it's all down to not drinking so much wine and the little bit of exercise I've been doing. My eating habits haven't changed that much. I had treacle sponge and custard last night

Berrie · 06/11/2007 15:10

Tee Hee, I keep meaning to slim for our meeting too Maybe tomorrow! It is after all our 20 year anniversary today. Yes back on November 5th 1987, there we were at the Student Union Bonfire Bop getting 'intimate' for the first time. Each year after that we bought a bigger and bigger rocket to celebrate and we'd write on it and shoot it up into the sky. Then one year, it exploded before it had really gone up much and nearly killed us. Pellets of gunpowder spattered the houses all around and loads of car alarms went off. That year we split up....we never had one again and a couple of years after that we had a wedding anniversary to replace it.

binkleandflip · 06/11/2007 17:55

Not one in particular Lyra, just certain posters (I'm sure you can guess at least one ) who cant have a decent discussion for policing the thread!

Berrie · 06/11/2007 21:52

or even 6th...

LyraSilvertongue · 06/11/2007 21:57

Up late again Berrie? Tut tut.

Berrie · 07/11/2007 08:38

Oh was up and up and up again...poor DS not well.

Berrie · 07/11/2007 14:34

OOOOOOOGGGGGGGGGGG'S!!!

COOOOOMMMMEEEE BBBAAAAAAAAACCCKKK!

LyraSilvertongue · 07/11/2007 17:53

Oh dear, what's up with DS?

Berrie · 07/11/2007 21:05

Just a cold I think but it's agravating his asthma and the coughing makes him sick...ready for another night of it.
So which are you all, Trinney or Susannah?

LyraSilvertongue · 07/11/2007 23:39

Dfe not Trinny. Does that make me a Susannah type?

Berrie · 08/11/2007 08:02

errr no probably not

Berrie · 08/11/2007 08:04

I guess I mean if you had to be one which one would you choose... silly programme any way, did you see it last night?

Berrie · 08/11/2007 10:16

Right. What do you know about cheap train fares?

I've been checking since we decided on a date and it said that they were not available until 12 weeks before hand. Now there are no cheap tickets. Does this mean that they have gone of does it mean that the offers have not been put up yet?

Zebedeedoodah · 08/11/2007 13:24

Keep trying Berrie - one of my colleagues is convinced that they hold back the cheap seats so that they sell expensive ones first. I have no idea if this is true. She also reckons it's worth trying local travel agents as for some reason they have a much better knowledge of train fares than us mere mortals. Good luck

As for the Trinny/Susannah question. Neither thanks. I caught 5 minutes of last night and that was 5 minutes too much.

LyraSilvertongue · 08/11/2007 14:09

Sorry, I know nothing about cheap train fares.
I don't even remember posting on MN last night. We had a mum's night out (DS1's class) and I drank far, far too much. I've been feeling like death warmed up all day. Poor DS2's watched a lot of TV this afternoon

Zebedeedoodah · 08/11/2007 15:00

It's what Ceebeebies was invented for!
This afternoon I have finally bought my Spanx thing to hold everything in for Christmas. Yippeee. But now I'm worrying about exactly how uncomfortable they are and if I bought the right size.

Berrie · 08/11/2007 15:34

Were they real spanx or an immitation? I saw a review in Lyra's husbands paper which I bought the other day to try and spot him but before Lyra had said he was off that weekend. It gave the spanx 9/10 which was the best score.
They are obviously not as comfortable as no pants but they are the most comfortable magic knickers I have ever ever had and I have many! I am a huge fan (literally) I'd worry more about going to the loo. I don't bother with the flap thing myself, just roll th whole lot down

Zebedeedoodah · 08/11/2007 15:43

The real thing

LyraSilvertongue · 08/11/2007 16:54

My super expensive Trinny and Bloody Susannah pants only scored 5 out of 10. I should have bought Spanx.

Berrie · 08/11/2007 16:56

But how comfy are they...the tester might just hate T&S?

LyraSilvertongue · 08/11/2007 17:26

They're comfy enough but they don't hoik everything in as much as I thought they would. This thread is going to self-destruct any minute now. I'll start a new one when I get the chance, unless someone else wants to.
