Ta daaaa.
Welcome to our new home .

OP posts:
Berrie · 10/10/2007 13:11

You could be right.

Berrie · 10/10/2007 16:23

Have you changed your names and stopped posting (Lyra accepted) because you are ashamed of your Deirdre Barlow status?

Berrie · 10/10/2007 19:04

Tee hee...I've just had an idea...my friend Lee's friend is coming for lunch on Friday. I don't think he would appreciate being set up but if you just happened to be around and I happened to check in maybe he could take Lee questions as a sort of live web chat!!
Might have to start a new thread so he didn't scroll back to this post mind you...and you wouldn't have to let on I'd told you anything at all ever about Lee from him...and you would actually have to blimmin' be there for a change

Berrie · 11/10/2007 07:38

'It's so funny...how we don't taaaaalk anymore!'
Don't ask why Cliff Richard comes so readily to mind, I have no idea!
Dierdre x

MrsSeanSlater · 11/10/2007 08:57

Well I don't know where the others are but I'm here. Can't do the chat thing on Friday, we're going to a friend's house straight from nursery and will be there all afternoon. Not sure she'd like me getting her laptop out instead of talking to her

Zebedeedoodah · 11/10/2007 11:41

Cool plan Berrie! Now I'll have to think up some stuff to ask. But I won't be around until about 12.30 (going on a school headmaster visit....don't ask )

And I hope you're feeling better today - being demotivated and down is pretty grim, but we're here to cheer you up and cheer you on when you need it

Berrie · 11/10/2007 13:30

I'm feeling better today thanks. Have been for a lovely autumnul walk in a country park. (ds and dd moaned about their tired legs mind you) then I went to the organic farm shop and bought lots of lovely meat I shouldn't really have. I'm trying to have a tv free day today for fear of rotting dc's brains but we did have it on at breakfast time...I'm sorely tempted just now put I shall RESIST!

Zebedeedoodah · 11/10/2007 14:41

tv - the devil's work . But having watched around 5 mins of the Night Garden the other week, I'm afraid I find it too easy to resist. OTH, I'm at work all day so it's easy for me to be the smug "I-don't-let-my-child-watch-tv" type of mummy. It'd be such a different story if I were still at home! (But I still think the Night Garden is awful!)

Zebedeedoodah · 11/10/2007 14:43

And I'm glad you're feeling better. A bit of autumn fresh air and some leaf-kicking is definitely good for the soul.

Berrie · 11/10/2007 14:52

Oh God yes, I was NEVER going to let any children of mine watch TV! As a last resort I am going to have to 'lose' the remote.

train set - tick
helping Mummy - tick
drawing - tick

OggsBogFrogMyrtle · 12/10/2007 09:08

Helllooooooooo! Enforced absence due to bloody BT ........ again........

No tv here

On the other hand, dd does watch a lot of dvds and videos..... my latest charity shop find being vintage "Hair Bear Bunch", and "Dastardly and Muttley" videos, which are being repeated ad infinitum

Ooh, ooh, ooh.....Berrie, what time do you lunch?... and what are you having? (on diet at moment and seeking vicarious culinary pleasure)

Berrie · 12/10/2007 10:25

Oggs, I thought you'd got fed up of us!

Well...my friend was jealous of me being in Cornwall. He is also a fan, in fact we got to know each other whilst staying down their with our theatre company who were performing at the Minack theatre. So I am about to whip up a batch of scones and I've got some clotted cream and strawberry jam!
He might not be staying for lunch, he is bringing his niece. He is due to arrive at 11 am!!

oggsfrog · 12/10/2007 10:38

Ohhhhhh......scones.....jam.....
You must pump him for any Lee related tidbits in a not-really-a-sad-stalker stylee.
Is he (Lee) absolutely sick to the back teeth of Joseph yet? What other parts would he like to play? Is there an album in the pipeline? What does he have for breakfast? What size feet has he got? Is he a fun person in RL?

What shows has your friend been in? What is his favourite musical?

Are you a closet luvvie Berrie? What did you perform at the Minack? (would love to see something there....did you see any porpoises?...seals??)

Berrie · 12/10/2007 10:43

Will do my best Oggs!
No I didn't perform I did set work...in fact I 'designed' a set for As You Like It at the Minack. (I put it in inverted commas since it was my friend who came up with the idea! - I have to put that in case he sees!)
Didn't ever see any wildlife while actually in the theatre but off the beach.
It was a magical time...sigh...might find you a piccie later!

oggsfrog · 12/10/2007 10:58

Have a nice elevenses.
Report back pronto with any newsworthy tidbits.

Where's Binkle? Did she get a responce from the hospitality people?

Berrie · 12/10/2007 10:59

It's been really quiet Oggs...I've been feeling a little glum for fear of losing my chums!

Berrie · 12/10/2007 11:07

He's going to laugh when he see's my picture!

oggsfrog · 12/10/2007 11:09

Never fear, oggs is here

How did the scones turn out? Is friend there yet?

Berrie · 12/10/2007 11:15

He's running late...wonder if he'll want lunch after all?

Well, just for you Oggs, fresh crusty bread, brie, cold meat and salad!

Berrie · 12/10/2007 11:15

Just

Berrie · 12/10/2007 11:15

need

Berrie · 12/10/2007 11:15

to

Berrie · 12/10/2007 11:16

budge that down a bit....

Berrie · 12/10/2007 11:16

That's better!

oggsfrog · 12/10/2007 11:18

huh?
