Have transferred the money KC, let me know if you don't get it for any reason

Are Ugg boots still in fashion? I only ask because I haven't seen anyone wear them for years, yet today I saw at least 3 pairs plus they were selling them in M&S when I went in. Am confused, need to get some winter boots, what to get...

MrsRecycle · 27/09/2007 14:14

There was a bloke that committed suicide in Switzerland a couple of months ago - they found a missing child with him and his partner. The description of him and his partner matched the description of the couple seen in the area before she went missing. I can't believe no-one has put two and two together...

Paddlechick666 · 27/09/2007 14:14

hmmm, d'you think Kew?

Paddlechick666 · 27/09/2007 14:20

who was the missing child and were they alive or dead and are you implying they abducted/killed other children?

MrsRecycle · 27/09/2007 14:24

I can't remember the exact child/details but the child was alive and they arrested him/his partner and he committed suicide whilst in jail. But what struct me was the picture of them was identical to the description of the couple in the area at the time Maddie went missing. They were also know to frequent that area of Portugal quite a lot.

sfxmum · 27/09/2007 14:25

hug boots in M&S probably means it's terminally out of fashion, but what do I know? I just don't like them not for my short stumpy legs.

KC acts of contrition expected

lifestyle manager like personal assistance smacks of slave to me - can I have one please?

rosmerta · 27/09/2007 14:28

I did see Uggs in Office as well though...

I've gone for sensible boots with a bit of a heel so I'm not completely sloppy mummy!

Which reminds me, apparently our tumbletots class is going to be filmed in a couple of weeks for a documentary about childhood obesity

foxcub · 27/09/2007 14:32

SJ - if M&S have them then that means they are no longer in fashion

Ele/Cov - I seem to have been roped into being class rep again too

Must be that MN people are a certain type huh?

Paddle - is that a proper job then?

Kew - tomorrow is my last day of enslavement so I'm thinking I might need to do somehting last minute, like for example lie down and shut my eyes. How about after school at 4pm? I will deffo be awake at that time

MrsRecycle · 27/09/2007 14:41

foxie - can't believe you have to go back next week. Let's do a meet-up on your day off (once you're got back into a routine, its a nightmare until that happens!!)

Paddlechick666 · 27/09/2007 14:41

yeah it's a proper job, and seems to be what i spend my working life doing (ie: avoiding work!)

job description is: You will be an all round, multi-tasking genius dealing with a small group of our top members who will benefit from yuor personal support. The ultimate service role.

or i could be a Travel Enthusiast/Experienced Travel professional organising great holidays, mini-breaks, luxury travel etc

i just spent 20mins helping a colleague find flights/hotel in NY!

SJ99 · 27/09/2007 14:43

Mrs R - interesting, if there is a link btw Maddie and that couple wouldn't the media have made more it (even if the police ignored it)?

Paddle - I bet if you had the right clients and your own set up you could make a fortune out of this.

Cov/Ele/Fox - where do you find time to fit all this in? I'm impressed

Thanks for Ugg update, I'm surprised they've stuck around for so long. I guess you're right if they've reached the M&S rack then that's not a good fashion indicator

Kewcumber · 27/09/2007 14:44

but you have to be nice to people paddle. all the time...

Kewcumber · 27/09/2007 14:45

I don't have Uggs - does that make me fashionable?

Paddlechick666 · 27/09/2007 14:45

m&s knickers never go out of fashion....

i've often thought I'd be a brilliant events organiser/travel booker etc but i don't have the where-withall to set up on my own.

these days you need a degree to get into events organising too!

Kewcumber · 27/09/2007 14:47

did you not hear me Paddle ... YOU HAVE TO BE NICE to PEOPLE ALL THE TIME!!!

Paddlechick666 · 27/09/2007 14:58

I am nice to people!!!! I know you lot think I'm very stroppy and rude but I'm actually not really.

My Project Managers all love me (on the whole) and I rarely lose my rag with customers.

I frequently lose my rag with others when I am the customer but that is because I refuse to be hood-winked by un-intelligent call centre staff who try to tell me my broadband doesn't work due to static in my wi-fi router FFS!

On the whole, I am very professional and conscientious actually!!!!

Paddlechick666 · 27/09/2007 14:59

HUFF!

sfxmum · 27/09/2007 15:01

I hear drugs help on that being nice all the time lark, although it does help on the doing a job front, again, I hear.

now getting the idea of slaves into the head of a woman with raging ovulation hormones is quite dangerous must come with warning like do not operate heavy machinery and so on

I best go away somewhere quiet....

rosmerta · 27/09/2007 16:17

lol sfx!

For the 2nd day in a row I can't be bothered to go out in the afternoon so am sat MN-ing with ds lifting up my top and squealing!

foxcub · 27/09/2007 16:26

Rose - its freezing out there - you are better off keeping warm by a nice hot PC

Paddle - how about you try organising me, just to see if you like doing it? You could organise me a Sleb lifestyle for a week? I don't mind you practising on me, just for a favour like

sfxmum · 27/09/2007 16:47

Ros I am feeling a bit trapped at home today have spent the day and yesterday indoors with dd who is not well, would have taken her out but it is too cold.

almost considering running out the minute dh gets in back is probably back late today.

dd is wearing a fleece poncho and regularly shouts - 'I can't see my hands give me a tissue' she is actually quite bright

foxcub · 27/09/2007 16:56

sfx, during school hols I ran out of the house each evening when DH returned! Just went for a lomg walk for an hour or so

I'm feeling all coldy today - the change of weather is quite hard to adjust to isn't it? Its not actually that cold, its just the sudden change is a bit of a shock. Have given in an put heating on - for the kids, not me of course.

sfxmum · 27/09/2007 17:19

foxie the plan was to go in the morning for a jog but dh told me last night that he needed to leave earlier than usual so I did not bother setting the alarm, but of course he did not leave until nearly 9

must calm down for I am ovulating
