mellow - anytime after 9.30am is fine, dd2 naps at about 1.30 these days. Shall I CAT you my address? Do you live in Kew now? I always thought you lived near boston manor!

If anyone else is free Thursday AM then feel free to come over to my house(Acton) to hang out!

sfx - am off to westminster tomorrow myself, although will be off to the Aquarium. Am going to trawl on the internet to find a discount for the place!

hello - had a lovely Mn meet-up near Oxford. DS tired but refusing to go to sleep. We go to IOW on Sunday so tomorrow I have my brother family visiting my mum and I have agreed to go over ro see them and I also have to pack and I have to leave the house clean for my cat-sitter. (the last part being the difficult part obviously!)

Yingers - when you say Thurs morning what time do you mean? Morning to me is 11.30am. I'd love to pop over and meet you if all is intact this end (meaning if I can get 3 DCs up, fed, washed and out) - wher abouts are you again.

Who can text me Tinger's adress then?

Sushi/Ros - sorry your birth's were crap. Mine with DS2 was totally traumatic too and I could never write it down as I have buried it. Also, I know it wasn't anyone's fault - just complete under staffing - still feel when I think about it though

QC - can you text or e-mail me a phone number and/or address?

Paddle - listen girl, have a brilliant time in Devon with your DD.

sfx - your DD amazes me!! Did you coach her to say "its G Brown?". She's like a child progidy. (note to everyone else - she was reading from 3 months). Seriously, I wonder if she is gifted?

PC and QC,
Have a lovely holiday.

Yingers,
I do live in Brentford, off the High Street. I'll CAT you my address.

Sfx,
What day would you like to come round? Did your dd say Gordon Brown? That's amazing!

SJ,
Do you drive? Are you coming from Putney? Would you like to come to my place together with Sfx? You can try out the testers and take samples home.

Otherwise, I'm quite happy to meet you at Kew Gardens. I'm free except Thu now.

good morning

QC & Paddle enjoy

mellow will have a think and see how it goes next week.

btw dd not a genius at all. for anyone whose kids like Thomas, there is an engine called Gordon. I told her it was like our prime minister bla bla, showed her the pic on telly and it stuck
very funny in her squeaky voice

yingers enjoy Aquarium, I have never been there, was thinking of taking dd back to the Zoo which I think she would like now

Did anyone see the item on the news this morning about sleepovers at Aquariums?

I think an Aqualrium or Science Museum sleepover is a deffo for DS1's 8th birthday!! - that's if he'll let me

Hi everyone else

sfx - your DD is extraordinary though - he speach and comprehension of things seems way above her age!! She speaks better than some of the 4 year old boys in DD's class. Plus, she noted the resemblence between Elephants and myself

I thought the London Aquarium was a bit rubbish and quite sad tbh.

If you've got an Oyster card I think you can get 2 for 1 offers.

I went round telling people off for using flash photography when it clearly states not to do so.

Felt sorry for all those fishies getting zapped and having the glass tapped constantly.

The turtles were cute tho.....

Am 75% packed and have even managed to extract windbreaks from the dangerous land of The Shed.

Have reached that point where you can't do anymore until you're just about to leave iyswim!

ps: dd undressed herself and put her swimmers on whilst i was packing this morning.

she then ran round the house shouting "seaside! seaside! seaside!"

soooo cute.

and she did a wee on the toilet last night!

[proud emoticon] but also and because she is growing up way too fast!

sfxmum · 18/08/2007 10:05

paddle I would be excited by the seaside too, wish dh could take a holiday
know what you mean about growing up, dd started using potty too albeit with load of accidents and is self weaning

foxie they do sleep overs at Kew and science museum too.

dd kept saying yesterday 'this is not the science museum, not like the science museum at al' in. disappointment
also she wanted to touch the paintings (some placed at toddler height)
was told off so she went around singing don't do that don't do this don't touch the picture pmsl not very grown up parenting but it was funny

and thanks for praise of dd I will pretend it is all down to me

a sleepover with scary dinosaurs???

Paddle - LOL ate the "dangerous land of the shed" IKWYM - I don't often venture into ours lest I either get stuck amongst all the crap in there or rounded on by a gang of daddy long legs!

i have to admit that there was some loss of life during my expedition.

am actually pretty as there's a bunch of stuff in there i didn't realise was there (courtesy of h when we moved in last year) that is slowly getting ruined as the shed is not waterproof at all.

extracted a sleeping bag that was new last year and am now washing it against the instructions on the label. if it's ruined by the machine then it's no worse than when it came out of the shed.

think the 3 tents are also ruined tbh, i thought they were all in the trailer in FIL's garage.

am bored now as can't do any more packing. meeting friend for lunch later tho. would like to take dd to park but wet weather gear is all packed

ps: loss of life referred to the spiders i found out there!

Paddle - Ik the feeling!! DH put loads of fabric-made stuff in our shed and it came out smelling of mould!!

what a waste!

weather should be dry this arvo BTW (midday until 3/4pm)

glad to see paddle hasn't killed the neighbourswe had a terrible ding dong in our street at 3 am apparently some cheating involved, she was doing it with his brother I gathered from the shouting

think will take dd to shoe station for new wellies later on and maybe some colourful tights too. it's not like we are going to have a summer is it?

rosmerta · 18/08/2007 14:43

sorry sfx for the disturbed sleep but lol at the argument! Shouldn't laugh I know! The first week in this house we had a guy at 2am shouting 'Amy let me in, it's freezing' and banging on the door. I think Amy didn't want to let him in as the whole street heard him so don't see why she couldn't either!!

Btw, I think someone texted me yesterday about coffee and I'm really sorry I didn't get back to you but I didn't get my replacement phone until last night & I've lost all my numbers so if it was anyone from MN very sorry, I wasn't ignoring you!

2cute, paddle, sfx - yes my dds also enjoyed the aquarium but like paddle I thought it was a little overrated and very overpriced. And yes some of the tanks seems really small. Wish I read the about the 2 for 1 offer, I had a token with me but left it at home but I did have my oyster card - doh! Nevermind, the sting ray seemed to like me!

fox - morning anytime is fine with me. My dd2 sleeps at about 1.30 but will still have dd1 running around! Will cat you my address.

I can't wait for my girls to be old enough to attend those sleep over sessions at the various musuems - I have always wanted to do them myself!!!

Mellow - I sent you an email

Evening all.

Thomas day was hectic but in general good fun albeit the rain. DS was rather taken aback by the actual size of Thomas and his friends!

sfx, thought your DD was much older than her age when first met you. We might have a future female PM here.

SushiMummy · 18/08/2007 21:52

Poor your DM, paddle. Wishing her a speedy recovery.
