oh lemonaid

so far I seem to be fine except for that week before AF due when i go a bit bonkers, but that is nothing new

on another subject is anyone going to Christmas party and coming back on the same night?

and anyone up for day meet tomorrow?

foxcub · 16/08/2007 18:39

Oh here you all are!

Spooky about Mellow thinking about you sfx - and then you appeared, as if by magic

Lemonaid - are you feeling tired at this stage?

Kew - remind me when you are off again - my brain is like mush atm

We did another Bike practice today. DS1 is doing really well, I'm so proud of my little man

Kewcumber · 16/08/2007 20:08

sfx if I go to the Xmas party (I expect to) then I will be coming home again same evening because a) I don;t drink much and the point at which everyone starts slurring "I love you I do" is my cue to leave b) budget will not stretch to night out as well as paying for the meal and paying for xmas!

I'm off on Sunday foxie

Evening all.

Mellow, yes, can I have one, please.

QC, are you off to IoW again? Have a lovely time!

Yinger, (if you can find this thread) I think there are other mums wanting to see pics of your DDs [nosey emoticon] so I'll be waiting patiently here...

Yingers74 · 16/08/2007 20:31

sushi - I am feeling the pressure now

Kewcumber · 16/08/2007 20:32

sushi - going for a "proper" holiday this time for 10 days. can;t really do "abroad" with DS as he has to travel on his kazakh passport still. Anyway not my idea of a good time - trekking off on a plane with a toddler on my own. Beach, bucket, spade, mum and the odd friend is much better.

SushiMummy · 16/08/2007 20:34

QC, did you get back alright this evening? District line is so pathetic, isn't it! Had to go to Waterloo to get BR to Richmond.

AND DS had a major tantrum at nursery.

mellow2 · 16/08/2007 20:35

Yingers has lovely DDs. I can vouch for that.

On that note, Yingers, are you around next week? Maybe, we could set up a playdate.

Thanks, sushi. Would you like me to drop it off over the weekend?

Kewcumber · 16/08/2007 20:35

I rang my mum (who had DS) and got her to pick me up at Turnham green - she had a nightmare time battling through the traffic but I was fine

OP posts:
mellow2 · 16/08/2007 20:38

Sushi,
What happened with ds at nursery?

Dd just whines all day long when we're not out playing all day. It drives me nuts.

SushiMummy · 16/08/2007 20:44

IoW is lovely, went there once on a company outing and loved it. I don't think it's worth going abroad on holiday with kids younger than 3. Too much hassle imo.

sfxmum · 16/08/2007 20:46

kew - maybe I can be your date?would any luck I shan't be able to drink then

foxi -it is part of my super hero powers to apparate when called for

mellow - dd is able to entertain herself quite well, not all the time and not for long periods but she can, it's a blessing.

about the district line, my sister&kids were visiting yesterday and used that line to get home, once at earl's court there was a public announcement to vacate the station immediately through he nearest exit at least that's the excuse she gave me for losing the umbrellas I lent her

Yingers74 · 16/08/2007 20:49

Ok, i did the profile thing and put a piccie on. So can someone check it actually works?

Mellow - I am around next week apart from monday morning and wednesday morning, will check my calendar though. What days are good for you?

SushiMummy · 16/08/2007 20:53

Mellow, we are going to Ropley to see Thomas and his friends on Sat. Maybe Sunday if that's OK with you or we can meet up in Kew Gardens?

QC, you are so lucky to have your mum around, you know. There were hundres of people waiting for the 391 bus and the queue was sooo long!

DS wanted to play with some toys at nursery and it was getting late (we were there for 20 minutes!) and he was punching and kicking when I tried to put him in the buggie.[sigh]

mellow2 · 16/08/2007 20:55

Yingers,
I can't see your profile. I think you need to change the permissions settings.

mellow2 · 16/08/2007 20:57

Yingers,
Btw, I can do any day of the week atm.

Sushi,
What time on Sunday would suit you?

sfxmum · 16/08/2007 20:59

sushi - dd named 2 of her dolls Annie and Clarabel

SushiMummy · 16/08/2007 21:21

Mellow, 11 am or 3 pm?

sfx, DS can't tell the different between those two, he call them both Annie. What is your DD's favourite? DS adores Gordon and Diesel, is it a power thing?

mellow2 · 16/08/2007 21:22

I was just telling dh that the water delivery man was going home to Poland for good when I realised I have started have long chats with all the delivery men that come to the flat since I've become a SAHM.

Aren't I sad?

sfxmum · 16/08/2007 21:35

sushi she likes James and Percy but she is fickle and occasionally says she likes Toby best

mellow - our postman is very friendly he waves at us on the street, and I know he has 2 little girlsbut i don't really talk to anyone else, am not that friendly.

and today I glared at a mum at climbers and creeperswhat can i say her kid headbutted mine and I wasn't going to say 'it's ok' while smiling indulgently

Yingers74 · 16/08/2007 21:42

I have changed the settings - I think !

foxcub · 16/08/2007 21:54

mellow - we had 2 polish builders here for 8 days and i quite missed them ehen they left - i think i don't get out enough!!! ;o

mellow2 · 16/08/2007 21:59

Would 3 pm be better since ds naps in the morning? I checked the weather forecast and it says it's going to rain on Sunday.

Can we play it by ear?

If the sun shines, we'll meet at Kew Gardens. Otherwise, we'll come to your place.

mellow2 · 16/08/2007 21:59

Yinger,

Your DDs are adorable! How old are they again?
