Just thought I would get this up and running before the old one is full.

mellow about JM it says on the label how long you should keep for after opening, usually 24months but it varies

mellow2 · 15/08/2007 10:11

Would you like to come over tomorrow to see the products? I'm actually free tomorrow now.

I'm going to a wedding reception on Friday so I'll be spending all day getting ready for it (yes, that's how long it takes me these days!)

How's dd btw? Is she better?

mellow2 · 15/08/2007 10:12

That means they should be binned then! They were bought before dd was born.

2Cute · 15/08/2007 10:18

Tell me about it sfx - nothing works out quite as its planned does it?!

Paddle - No late night for me tonight, I am completely shattered today. DS went to bed at 9pm and was up full of energy at 5am! He insisted that it was playtime and ran around the house opening all the curtains saying "see, I told you its daytime mummy" I'd only just got to bed at 1am as I kept DH company while he packed for his lads trip to Vegas

xoxo - Looks really good doesn't it? The film that is and not Matt Damon's bits wrapped in your doughnut!

Mellow - I'd love some samples thanks v much I'm sure we'll meet up sometime over the next week or so, so I'll get them then.

Need a nap....

sfxmum · 15/08/2007 10:31

mellow I think next week is best for me (except wed)I need to sort out a few things tomorrow and friday.

also dh working this weekend so I might be up for a meet up

xoxo - I shall be taking dh to see that very movie I think he will enjoy it. funny i never though MD very fanciable until he went all action hero

2cute yes indeed. also meant to comment I know a family whose dad, now in his 80's comes from an area which became part of Pakistan after partition. it is a source of great anguish to him, quite sad really

mellow2 · 15/08/2007 11:00

OK, sfx. Let me know.

2cute, let me know which products you would like samples of.

Foxie,
Your eye cream just arrived a minute ago.

The sun has also just come out! I can't believe how glad it makes me to see the sun.

Rain makes me so miserable after hot weather for 2 weeks.

ComeOVeneer · 15/08/2007 11:27

Morning all. I got to bed at 1am last night, and woke at 4am, couldn't get bck to sleep as my head was buzzing with all the last minute thigns I need to do today, so eventually got up at 5.30, so expect I will be cranky with the children today. In additon I have bruised my shoulder. I was carefully caring dd's fish tank (complete with fish and water) down the stairs to put it in the kitchen for neighbours to feed and I stumbled. In a valiant effort not to cause the demise of yet another fish I hurled myself towards the wall to stabalise myself (having no hands free) and smacked my shoulder on a bit of wall that juts out. That will look good in a bikini on the beach . Perhaps I can get out of lugging the suitcases at the airport tomorrow!

Mellow - fab!! Thanks for getting it so quickly

Oxo - LOL at your post!

2cute - that cream really is fabulous. The best thing is it is really pure and doesn't irritate sensitive skin - but it smells like the best pampering stuff! I'm so used to using Clinique, which has no scent, its a treat to have something which smells all yummy The salve cured my foot after all the other stuff I'd tried had not worked

Paddle - If you are planning a superstore pull - I'd recommend a central Richmond store as it is full of banker types who can afford to live in the Town centre. I remember reading a couple of years ago that Richmond has the most eligable men in the UK (i.e. single but earn tons of money).

CoV we had the same problem with our suitcases in October - I had to borrow cases from my Dad, 'cos the size limit suddenly changed and two of our cases are now "illegal".

Have a nice holiday anyway

I've been up since 5am with blocked ducts AGAIN!!! Arrgghh!!

have been hot/cold compressing and massaging like mad and feeding 2 hourly to try and stave off mastitis!!

On top of it all the lodger has a day off so I can't even walk about in my PJs - not like some people on here !

BTW Bubble you are not very big at all. You must have a skinny WW thread!! Have you joined the gym yet?

My weight loss top tips are:

Massive bowl of porridge for brekkie (fills you for simply hours on end)
Stop eating when I am full (a strange concept I must admit)
Absolutely NO cakes/sweets/chocs etc except at parties
Regular excercise

I walked to Richmond Tescos last night it the pouring rain, but fell saintly afterwards. Damp, but saintly...

foxcub · 15/08/2007 11:46

CoV is the fish OK ?

at you being able to wear a bikini...

mellow2 · 15/08/2007 12:01

I have a top tip for losing weight.

Lots of caffeine first thing in the morning . . .

It stops me getting hungry. Not that I'm actually using it to lose weight. It's just that I really do enjoy my coffee in the morning.

Foxie,
I'll ring you to arrange to meet up.

mellow2 · 15/08/2007 12:02

Foxie,
Sorry about the blocked ducts too.

I can imagine how frustrating that must be.

ComeOVeneer · 15/08/2007 12:03

Fish is fine, my shoulder is throbbing. Bikini is the result of a 4 month strict diet, working out 3 times a week, and living in a house with 4 floors. I was determined to wear on for the first time since falling pregnant with dd (who will be 6 in January).

OP posts:
SushiMummy · 15/08/2007 12:17

My tip to lose weight is to get yourself infected with Norovirus. Although it's highly effective, I wouldn't recommend it as it's extremely unpleasant.

Foxie, sorry to hear you have blocked ducts problems. Hope you get better soon.

foxcub · 15/08/2007 12:33

CoV well done! [skinny emoticon]

Sushi - is Novovirus a gastric virus?

Loads of chores today and just feel complete blocked duct inertia!

SushiMummy · 15/08/2007 12:45

Foxie, it is. It's the worst virus I ever had. Horrible! Never again!

foxcub · 15/08/2007 12:53

Funnily enough I started losing weight when I got mastitis, followed by tonsillitus after having DS2.

Novovirus sounds horrible though!

rosmerta · 15/08/2007 14:08

A pool in Putney was closed recently and I think that was because of Norovirus

I've joined the bootcamp thread to try and lose some weight. So far, so good in terms of diet!

I've not been able to tear myself away from the Misdee thread, just waiting for news!

SJ99 · 15/08/2007 14:56

Hiya all

Sushi - I agree it's just the worst illness. DS had it first and then passed it onto both of us. It was so hard looking after him when we felt so dreadful.

QC & PC - LOL, I can back up your story, honest.....

COV - have a great holiday, at least you'll be able to relax once you're away

Mellow - are you some sort of cream pusher?!! just curious about all the beauty products, do you have your own business?

mellow2 · 15/08/2007 15:04

Not sure about being a cream pusher but I do run an organic online shop.

SJ99 · 15/08/2007 15:11

Was just teasing
Sounds very exciting, can you send me the address please so I can have a look? Thanks

mellow2 · 15/08/2007 15:51

No offence taken.

It's www.greentrading.co.uk

SJ99 · 15/08/2007 19:45

looks really fab! What is the body butter like? Is it aimed at dry skin, would it be too heavy on normal skin?
like some of the tops too, need to do some holiday shopping as we're going away in Sept....best start saving...

Kewcumber · 15/08/2007 19:54

Had to go to the dentist today have a cracked tooth which needs ££££ crown , emergency filling has hopefully speed decay getting any worse whilst I'm on hols then back to mortgage the house to pay for the crown.

DS's language coming on a treat, in addition to "ppplllll" (imagine a raspberry sound) for please, we now also have "rar" (tiger) and "cak cak" (duck). The boy has a great future in world diplomacy in front of him I tell you.

Nice to see you earlier Foxie, DS made me go out after you left so I drove to Gap and got some socks after all. My life is so exciting these days

On more depressing note - my mum had her scan at the Royal marsden today to see if her cnaceer is back and she said there was a little girl there DS's age with her parents, clutching a teddy and a comfort blanket. They were discussing her treatment. My mum cried when she told me - I often look at DS and think that I can't beleive how lucky I am but particularly today.

sfxmum · 15/08/2007 20:28

my sometimes stroppy toddler seems to have picked up some stroppy teenager skills today

kew - I sympathize having spent a little more more than a months worth of my former salary at the dentist in the last few months
serves me right for not going for nearly 9yrs.

I think I might need to go to town (richmond) tomorrow, should anyone like a coffee, but knowing me I will probably end up at kew for most of the day.

foxcub · 15/08/2007 20:51

Kew - DS1 and Dd had a great time - partners in crime I think - they regard your DS as great fun!!

Terrible about that little girl - I often think that we are "rich" having our good health. Long may it last eh?

Fingers x for your lovely Mum

Mellow - how much is the bath oil (just tried it and too lazy to look)?
