Just thought I would get this up and running before the old one is full.

pmsl - bubble, I don't know how big you are but I suspect you are a mere featherwight compared to me. Join the big mofo's instead m'dear you will feel sylph-like.

Kewcumber · 14/08/2007 22:51

oh and it depends how hard you type.

Kewcumber · 14/08/2007 22:52

would you feel less embarassed if I told you that I have 7stone to lose before I get to the top of my recommended weight. And thats after losing three stone.

ComeOVeneer · 14/08/2007 22:54

Well I am 2/3rds of the way through a bottle of red (my head will not be happy in the morning). I dragged children to Matalan at 5.30pm when ds finally woke from his nap to buy a bl**dy suitcase with tape measure in tow. Bribbed them for good behaviour with chocolate then feed them fish fingers chips and baked beans at 7pm before putting them to bed minus bath, repacked suitcase (had to omit several "necessary" items of mine to make it all fit in, then ordered a takeaway rather than cooked, whilst dh watch and cursed the football.

Who said going on holiday is a good idea?

Kewcumber · 14/08/2007 22:56

it'll all be worth it when you get there...

Is there a date for a meet-up at your palce Cov? I've lost track and as I can;t make Spet (and because I'd like a nosey around your new kitchen) I do want to get this in my mums diary.

ComeOVeneer · 14/08/2007 23:06

Remember I am going with my (m)il . We did sort out a date for he meet at mine (I read it as palace ). I will just double check but I think it is the 20 something of October.

QC & Paddle - PMSL reading your posts about the cute guys. Looks like I missed out! lol Really needed that laugh after watching the documentary re India/Pakistan division. Really terrible and my grandparents went through it all

I can't believe you crammed into the Richmond ELC, its tiny! Next time get yourselves to the Kingston one, its huge in comaprison so you can really let the monkies run wild

Hope you got my text Foxi Did your delivery arrive?

What's this I hear about miracle heel cream???? Mellow/Foxi spill the beans as I have chapped heels post DS and would lurve a cure.

2Cute · 15/08/2007 00:23

CoV - Going away with the MIL? Goodness me, very brave.

Paddlechick666 · 15/08/2007 07:43

hmmm, Tesco on a Saturday night? not sure about that!

btw foxie, d'you think i could get those maternity clothes back as friend who's due in december could use a bit of a wardrobe boost!

2cute, how do you manage to stay up so late? i'm in bed by 10pm most nights!

CoV, despite the MIL hope you have a great holiday and that you've left a bit of room in the cases for shopping whilst away!

i am also trying to pack for our week in Devon next week. Am having to plan for all eventualities and have got jellies to wellies and everything inbetween. good job it's just the 2 of us in the car!

sfxmum · 15/08/2007 09:16

good morning all

LOL@ you lotwhy can't women with kids be man magnets? seems to work well in reverse
(excluding pervs of course)

COV have a great holiday, do you have to take an extra amount of deep breaths around MIL?

re ECL was thinking the same, did not realise it was on the shop floor, had an idea they had some sort of back room.

have teens and sis around again today have a very excited toddler making plans on best use of available big people

Paddlechick666 · 15/08/2007 09:27

hi sfx, yes perfect world should mean available women with kids are man magnets.

in reality i rather think it's a reverse polarity effect and they run a mile in the opposite direction.

but maybe i'm just a huge cynic!

i guess i'll have ample opportunity to find out in the future.

dd once again cried her eyes out as i left her at CMs. In fact she started crying as we parked outside. breaks my heart but CM always texts immediately after i've left saying she's happy as a sand girl as soon as the door is closed.

i'm guessing/hoping it's a phase. she is quite clingy at the mo. am also aware it's been a summer of big changes and not much continuity for her tho. am looking forward to holiday and visits around and about but am also looking forward to september when we can get back to "normal" for a bit.

until we move LOL!

SushiMummy · 15/08/2007 09:31

Morning all.

Have a lovely holiday, CoV! BTW, I'm going on holiday with IL (plus thier dog) and my mum in Sept. Don't know what to expect!

Mellow, the cream is miracle. My eczema is almost disappeared!

mellow2 · 15/08/2007 09:32

2cute,

The cream is part of my Suki all natural skin care range.

Foxie's right. I tried it again on my cracked heel and it works.

If you're interested, I could give you a sample. You could come round to try out some testers and get some samples.

Otherwise, I could post it out to you or pass it to you when I see you next.

mellow2 · 15/08/2007 09:33

Sushi,

That's great.

Which cream did you put on your eczema? The brightening cream or the butter cream salve?

SushiMummy · 15/08/2007 09:36

Oh, I think it's butter cream salve. DS loves to put loads on his legs so might need another one soon. Thanks, mellow!

sfxmum · 15/08/2007 09:37

paddle I am sire your CM is right and so are you about the changes and also her age, quite prone to be clingy. take heart it will get easier I am sure

about in laws we spend Christmas at their place every year, it used to be e every other year but since dd they asked to see us more often. to be fair they make the effort to visit us as well.
but anyway I am glad it is only a few days and it is 'diluted' by the festivities

mellow2 · 15/08/2007 09:37

Don't worry, pc. Dd is incredibly clingy and she hasn't had any change in her life.

I think it's just the age thing.

Selfishly, I would like some change, i.e. get dressed up in the morning and go to work not sit in my pj all day.

sfxmum · 15/08/2007 09:41

don't sit in your pj's, do you really?

i have noticed that my make up and perfume don't get used as often. and i have adjusted type of clothes too. it is all too weird

SushiMummy · 15/08/2007 09:49

DS went through the clingy phase and currently in 'ignoring' phase.

QC, it's 20 Oct at CoV, I think.

mellow2 · 15/08/2007 09:50

Yes, let me know when you would like some butter cream salve. I have a few of that in stock.

mellow2 · 15/08/2007 09:52

Well, kind of.

I wear a vest and cropped trousers to sleep and I don't change out of it until I shower. Is this tmi?

xoxo · 15/08/2007 09:53

hello all
popping in again, just before I drag the 2 LOs to the park

Hope everyonr is well. Sorry I missed the ELC meet up, I had intended to go, do not know where my time is disappearing to just now. I seem to be in a circle of snot wiping/ suncream slathering/pee wiping up frenzy. don't bloody tell you that at NCT do they.

I still haven't found a p/t nanny. we are going on holiday on 27th (let's try for no chicken pox this time, shall we!) and I start new job on 11th September.

It's all go. and I still need to lose stones of weight.

On teh bright side, Matt Damon is coming to a cinema near me, in a film that (you may recall), I might just ahve gotten a brief cameo on (if they allow fat birds in such a movie)

Am thinking of Matt right now

naked

except for a strategically placed cream donut

(explains my fatness)

mellow2 · 15/08/2007 09:55

Sfx,

Do you know how long JM fragrances last? I'm thinking I should throw out mine. I rarely use it as it really stings when I put especially on my neck area.

I agree. I go out sans make up and fragrance these days.

I keep buying cosmetics that don't agree with my sensitive skin and then I keep them for ages and then throw them out.

sfxmum · 15/08/2007 09:58

mellow for people who discuss baby poo I don't think that is tmi
btw i am interested in the lemongrass exfoliant cleanser might try mini kit too.

occasionally I think about going to work too, one of the reasons I wanted a short baby gap was so that could move on to the 'next stage'
alas life has a way of undoing plans
