Just thought I would get this up and running before the old one is full.

Ros,

Did you know that there's a new hair salon opening next to the pizza place in my building?

It looks quite nice. I'll let you know if they do any opening deals.

sfxmum · 13/08/2007 22:18

i am one of 3 girls, complex is a word for our relationship but also quite close.

sushi - dd who loves water went through 'i am not having a bath i am not washing my hair' etc. it is all rather trying but i guess nothing compared to when the little blighters become teenagers
or so my sister tells me

rosmerta · 13/08/2007 22:26

So ELC then, is it Richmond you're off too or am I not allowed to come [huffy emoticon]!

mellow2 · 13/08/2007 22:33

I am dreading dd's teenage years. I can still remember how messed up I was and if she is going to be anything like me, I'm going to be in for one rough ride.

foxcub · 13/08/2007 22:48

well Kew if you saw how bitchy the girls in Ds1's class get with each other you'd be glad to have a boy. My experience is that boys will play with any other boys (they recognise other boys as being the same species) whereas girls are always falling out.

Even DD comes home and says "Rachel isn't my friend any more. Olivia is my best friend now"!! ...very fickle

foxcub · 13/08/2007 22:49

Thanks Mellow - BTW I need to order some eye cream from you. Oh and some salve - which healed my cracked heel in a miracle-like way

foxcub · 13/08/2007 22:50

DS2 is so FAT!!!

Paddlechick666 · 14/08/2007 08:05

ros, of course you can come to ELC!!!

lovely day!

Kewcumber · 14/08/2007 08:12

I can't beleive you are waiting for an invite Ros! You know how rude we are - just announce that you are coming (works for me)

Paddlechick666 · 14/08/2007 08:34

i'm putting dd in a nunnery as soon as puberty hits!

rosmerta · 14/08/2007 08:49

It was more that my first post was ignored, then I got your attention

sfxmum · 14/08/2007 09:48

paddle i take it you have never been to convent schoolthose are uber girls with very few thoughts for the Lord, to the best of my recollection

good morning everyone

please do report back from ecl, see if i add that to the list of options. am waiting for a delivery this morning.

foxcub · 14/08/2007 10:41

Paddler - I second what sfx says about convent Grrls (being an ex convent Grrl myself ). Would you really like her to turn out like me?

hee hee

DS2 is so massive - he's deffo half-baby, half giant .

What a Chubber!!!

We're staying in all day waiting for a collection and so I can do a cull of the kids toys [evil grimace]!!!

Kids have a DVD to watch and I have an Italian film to watch. What bliss

mellow2 · 14/08/2007 11:52

Foxie,
I've ordered the eye cream. I'll bring the products over when the eye cream arrives.

Which days are you home for the rest of the week?

Dd is in love with your dd's white dress with the purple flowers.

It's a shame it's a maxi on her.

mellow2 · 14/08/2007 11:53

I'll call you later about dd's toys. I'm going out now to meet a supplier.

Kewcumber · 14/08/2007 13:22

lovely to meet you SJ (and of course paddle and Ros) at ELC. Thought the DC's were pretty well behaved considering we literally let them lose in a toy shop But what they really needed was a few chairs. And some coffee. Oh yes and cake would have been nice.

SushiMummy · 14/08/2007 13:48

Hello everyone.

Good fun at ELC this morning, then? It's a bit difficult to imagine what they can do to entertain kids in such a small shop (I could hardly go in with the pushchair!) but sounds like you all had a good time. Nice.

ComeOVeneer · 14/08/2007 14:16

OMG I have just spent all of yesterday evening and most of today sorting and packing. Why the hell is it taking me so long to pack for 4 people for 2.5 weeks? Moving house was less stressful.

foxcub · 14/08/2007 14:24

Mellow I should be taking DCs to park each day to practice DS1's bicycle riding. Best to give me a text on the day!! Thanks for ordering those . I will give the other salve sample to my friend tomorrow. She is looking for some mega rich cream for her DH's birthday

sfxmum · 14/08/2007 14:31

i can tell i am deeply hormonal when i look on MN and all i see are threads on people getting accidentally and astonishingly pregnant

ok off to pick a fight somewhere

foxcub · 14/08/2007 14:40

I used to get in a really bad mood when ovulating - all that tension about TTC coming out. I used to cry when AF arrived...

SJ99 · 14/08/2007 14:55

Hello all
I was desperate to start TTC earlier in the year but after all the stress of moving house/country I'm not in any rush now, don't want the hassle just now. But good luck SFX if you are trying, it can be tough seeing others pg.

Lovely to meet you too QC & your DS (and Paddle and Ros), and I thought my DS was a crazy cat . I agree sofas, tea and cake required next time, although not sure where they'd put them as it was tad cramped in the shop

SJ99 · 14/08/2007 14:57

ELC was worth going to just for DS sheer excitement playing with all those brand new toys, he's wiped out now and still snoozing, nice rest for me!

ComeOVeneer · 14/08/2007 15:00

SFX I avoid looking at those threads as much as I can. My problem is not the inabillity to conceive (I am blessed with being very fertile - both mine were concieved on birth control)rather the fact I am not allowed to concieve due to dh's medication. .

OP posts:
sfxmum · 14/08/2007 15:03

foxie i do believe it is the eminent AF arrival coupled with visiting heavily pregnant friend combining to make ultra broody

and dd's incessant chat, look mummy you have a big tummy it's for the baby

i fear ecl would mean an armload of thomas and his friends for dd
