Just thought I would get this up and running before the old one is full.

OP posts:
sfxmum · 14/08/2007 15:11

i am actually very happy for who manage this easily or otherwise

many thanks for the best wishes
dh would be mortified if he knew of these posts

Paddlechick666 · 14/08/2007 15:23

i never said a convent school, i mean an actual Nunnery with actual nuns and no outside contact at all!

i went to a convent prep school for a few years!

ELC was pretty good I thought. I bought the huge paddling pool in the end - will tell Grandma to buy some balls for it in lieu of any sunshine.

Good to see those who were there, sorry if dd was a bit possessive and pushy.

The Natural Cafe kids lunch was pretty good value I thought. I made my 2 friends go upstairs on your instruction QC and it was well worth it! He stayed for ages too.

Just before we left another gorgeous guy came in with his ds. i managed to be completely staring at him whilst pronouncing loudly "yes you have a gorgeous bottom" which was actually directed at dd and he looked right at me at exactly that moment.

Luckily he laughed thus making himself even more gorgeous.

Clearly Natural Cafe Richmond is the place to hang out now!

Paddlechick666 · 14/08/2007 15:26

i am a little of my 2 friends who are due in December but i think that's more about the stability of their relationship/family rather than a burning desire for another child.

by the time dd is old enough for me to consider it i will be too old to manage it.

and lets not even go there with the requirement for sperm........

SJ99 · 14/08/2007 15:29

There was nice chap in there when we went in too. Glad you enjoyed your lunch, we had to take turns to stop our DS from trying to climb down the stairs, oh no. DS clutched his balloon all the way home, cute.

Might go back for the paddling pool, it was a brgain but too bulky to carry back on the bus. Best go, he just woke up.

ComeOVeneer · 14/08/2007 15:59

DH has just phoned me with the BA regulations for baggage allowance, and it seems that one of our 2 suitcases is too big, so when ds wakes up I have to go buy a new suitcase then repack it . Could he not have found this out weeks ago? The plane tickets were booked before christmas!

cov - my dh has the same kind of advance planning skills

ComeOVeneer · 14/08/2007 16:11

I have added a bottle of red wine to the shopping list .

ignoring my impending penury and blaming pmt and my middle age I am delighted I just got 3 new cardies in the post

yes indeed alcohol is a great balm, strictly medicinal

foxcub · 14/08/2007 18:17

sfx are they the Boden cardies you were talking about? I have the grape coloured one and am not sure whether to keep or send back atm...

Paddle - OMSL at you sexually harassing that man!

sfxmum · 14/08/2007 18:32

foxie not sure I can quite bring myself to discuss this is publici have a purply grape one which I like, but i don't think is the one you mean, I got one of those in black but is still out of stock

Paddlechick666 · 14/08/2007 18:47

I was not sexually harrassing him!

He was very cute tho! As was the other one but he didn't have a child with him nor did he take any notice of any of the children in there so nil points to him!

rosmerta · 14/08/2007 19:05

lol paddle!

Nice to catch up with you again, and to see SJ & Kew! Not sure if I'd do ELC every week but certainly if we're stuck and its horrible weather!

Just had an argument with dh along the lines of:
'I'm going to cook tea, can you do the washing up?'
'I'd rather not'
'Well, I'd rather not cook tea then!'

Usually I'd just do it myself but he's been playing golf today & I cleaned up about 90% of his crap out of the bedroom!

mellow2 · 14/08/2007 19:28

Foxie,

What's wrong with your Boden cardie?

Kewcumber · 14/08/2007 19:43

I had the same htought Ros re ELC - good for an occasional meet in the rain if you've arranged to meet others. Perhaps one for before Christmas to test the toys before buying.

I also thought it was best to arrive at 10am as by 11am it was manic (as we were leaving)

Kewcumber · 14/08/2007 19:46

Really Paddle? Wasn't the lovely man with the computer very engaged with you and DD? Goodness I had problem with shutting him up and he just loved DS and kept him occupied whilst I drank my coffee. Was so sure he was going to suggest marriage and wasn't entirely sure what I would say. Would have much preferred him to suggest tumultuous sex on the cafe tables.

Kewcumber · 14/08/2007 19:47

if I recall correctly

mellow2 · 14/08/2007 20:01

lol @ QC

Paddlechick666 · 14/08/2007 20:12

pmsl @ QC! well, clearly, his heart belonged to another as far as i was concerned.

actually guy#2 was heaps cuter with the added bonus of having a ds and NO WEDDING RING altho of course that means naught really....

he did give me a lovely smile tho [swoon emoticon]

Paddlechick666 · 14/08/2007 20:14

oh and thanks for coming back into ELC and yelling across the entire shop to tell me there was a cute guy sitting upstairs at the Cafe!

funnily enough there were heaps of people in there who'd just been in ELC!!!

Kewcumber · 14/08/2007 20:16

I thought it was an important piece of information. [wounded emoticon] and are you calling me a fish-wife?

Paddlechick666 · 14/08/2007 20:27

no doubt about the importance of the information!

no you're not a fishwife. my screeching neighbour takes that title!

foxcub · 14/08/2007 21:11

well I just got flirted with in Tescos by a very good looking bloke! I was sans Dcs of course. he eyed mu shopping which consisted of:

trendy Rocket salad
oragnic trendy toms
trendy Cava
Special K
6 Rolos chocolate yogurts

Judging by the way he kept grinning and making eye contact he didn't guess the Rolos yogurts were for my THREE KIDS!!!

Paddlechick666 · 14/08/2007 21:13

foxie, i think you'll find ds2 is too small for yoghurt.

best you have his!

ps: good skills, i must find a way to visit supermarket at appropriate time sans dd!

foxcub · 14/08/2007 22:29

Paddle last time I got chatted up was about a year ago at 9.45pm at sainsburys - the whole store seemed to be full of single men on a saturday night!!! You can check out their lifestyle too, by nosing into their trolleys

Ahem, actually DS2 can eat "Little Stars", as it says "from 6 months" and he's nearly 6 months and is half giant anyway

Bubble99 · 14/08/2007 22:41

foxie.

Typing and jogging on the treadmill?

I am impressed.

Hi all. Haven't seen much of you here as I'm currently wearing my crown as the heaviest person on the weight-loss thread.

But all is not lost. I am finally doing something about it.

How many calories does typing use?
