Just thought I would get this up and running before the old one is full.

oh god not the weetabix hairwash again. Whenever she has him they both arrive at the station looking like shambolic raggamuffins. I don't know which of them is wrose AND i think she's turning him into a trainspotter!

stepfordwife · 25/07/2007 16:36

don't tell your mum/my neighbour i dobbed her in.,..she'll think i'm a sneak..

stepfordwife · 25/07/2007 16:37

mardy looks in the street, getting up neighbourhood petitions against me..it'll end in tears

stepfordwife · 25/07/2007 16:38

anyhow, gherkin has got the sytle to carry off weetabix hair and trainspotter leanings

mellow2 · 25/07/2007 16:39

Ele,

I have her hotmail address. I wasn't sure if she had Internet at home. I wouldn't want to get her into trouble checking her hotmail account at work.

Foxie,
We didn't make it to Kew 'cos dd was really grumpy and we had to come home so she could have a nap. Yes, we would love to come to the picnic as long as it's not pouring.

Kewcumber · 25/07/2007 16:46

weather forecast is OK Mellow (though I will also be wimping out if it rains - perhaps you can just come around to mine for an indoor picnic) - plan to leave Kew Gardens tube at say 10-10.15am

foxcub · 25/07/2007 16:48

Oh poor nanou will e-mail her

mellow - will have picnic here if its raining!!

Kew - I may pop round tomorrow - have to take DVDs back tonight and also source a chocolate caterpillar cake for DD

well done mellow on getting in the Rick&Twick let us know which issue

well treadmill has arrived so I can go out, except I can't cos baby now needs a feed....

foxcub · 25/07/2007 16:48

Oxo - was lovely to see you earlier - sorry I was all a bit chaotic

foxcub · 25/07/2007 16:49

kew are you talking about tomorrow or saturday re picnic/weather forecast ? - am a bit befuddled today

Kewcumber · 25/07/2007 16:51

tomorrow would be fine foxie (bring remnants of caterpiller cake with you) persuade Paddle to come too and we can have a party.

I was referring to the MN london picnic in Hyde Park on Sunday.

Was separately suggesting a meet on Saturday if you like.

mellow2 · 25/07/2007 17:00

OK. I don't mind if we have an indoor or outdoor picnic at either Foxie's or QC's.

Thanks foxie.

The reporter who rang today said it's probably going be in this Friday's issue of Rich and Twick.

Foxie,
Did you realise you added ['blush'] without the quotes in your e-mail? Mumsnet conventions are creeping into your RL.

mellow2 · 25/07/2007 17:04

Actually, I've been meaning to ask you ladies. What do you buy your friends if you buy something smelly for their birthday or Christmas?

Do you buy a body cream, a body wash, candles etc? I'm stocking up nice organic smelly stuff for Christmas principally and I thought I would do an informal poll.

eleusis · 25/07/2007 17:22

Proably cream for me.

SushiMummy · 25/07/2007 17:56

maybe candles in case someone has sensitive skin like me. My birthday is in November, Mellow!

xoxo · 25/07/2007 17:57

hey, I ahve a suggestion for Saturday. The posh old actors home in our street is hvainbg a fun day/ fayre (why do they spell it like that?).
I've never been to one there before but these shennigans are usually good for cupcakes, lucky dip and spotting old actors. It's 1.30 - 5pm. Anyone fancy it?

Otherwise I am in sole charge on Saturday so would be very pleased to meet up.

xoxo · 25/07/2007 17:59

and, Mellow, I'm v sad and love those drawer liners. not the old lady ones (lavender) but if you got in something that smells like comfort softener or dove soap, I'd be delighted.
My 40th is also in November

eleusis · 25/07/2007 18:31

Fat Boys in Richmond on Monday at 7:30 -- who wants to join us?

Everyone welcome so don't anyone be silly and ask if you are invited. Put your name on the list and show up -- and that means you, Paddle.

ComeOVeneer · 25/07/2007 18:39

Have added my name Ele. Would love to meet up on Saturday, or tomorrow even but am up to my eyes in boxes sorting out the garage and emptying the kitchen for d-day on Saturday. The children meanwhile have been driving me up the wall, and hitting each other over the head with (toy) golf clubs. I have promised them full us of the computer tomorrow and a trip to a PYO farm (any recommendations) if they give me peace tomorrow to get it all finished. Thank god my parents are coming to take them off my hands on Monday.

rosmerta · 25/07/2007 18:46

This might help you find one COV:

Garsons PYO Esher

pyo farms

Foxie, can I gatecrash tomorrow? Pretty please? Will bring something sweet with me (bribe, bribe)

ComeOVeneer · 25/07/2007 18:52

Garsons looks good and is just down the road. Thanks Rosemerta.

very quick dip. it's crazy here.

thanks for kind words of support.

swedish friends are now coming a day early

dd going to grandma's tomorrow and was planning a night out with the boys but can't do that now.

deffo can't do fatboys on monday as boy2 is leaving that evening.

blardy good job have farmed dd out now as otherwise there wouldn't be room for swedish friends!

Kewcumber · 25/07/2007 20:02

Paddle - just how many Swedish friends do you have (and why???) You seem to have an endles suplly of them...

Kewcumber · 25/07/2007 20:08

DS threw up all over me (and him) just as I was putting him in the cot. Just thought I'd share. Even though I've taken my clothes off and put a dressing gown on I still smell charming...

Oh and Steppie - I think mum had mixed the weetabix with superglue or chewing gum as had to use a flamethrower to get it out of his hair.

StarryStarryNight · 25/07/2007 21:08

Mellow2

Do you stock nice candles that doesnt smell? (have a very sensitive nose and cannot have anything scented)
As for your christmas stock, body scrub and body butter combo?

ComeOVeneer · 25/07/2007 21:18

KC, hope ds is feeling better asap
