Yeah, Lemonaid - don't be a stranger!

Eleusis · 04/06/2007 13:39

So has everyone see the absolute shite new 2012 logo? Do you think we could protest and get it redesigned?

Kewcumber · 04/06/2007 13:40

no tubes from Kew today - got into work at 10am and will have to leave at 4 so I can pick DS up.

Apparently none tomorrow either so may have to work from home

Kewcumber · 04/06/2007 13:40

no Ele - where is it?

Eleusis · 04/06/2007 13:43

thread here

Eleusis · 04/06/2007 13:43

Be sure to watch the video. It's worse than the logo itself.

pudding77 · 04/06/2007 13:46

omg , reading between the lines of some of the quotes I'm guessing not everyone loves it!

SJ99 · 04/06/2007 13:50

Thanks for the tips. Tea, margeritas and paddling pool sound like a winning combination

I'm really, really excited now that I know there's a huge Waitrose AND Tesco, can't wait!! Have really missed UK shops.

Will try and come to July meet up, will need a night out after all the unpacking I'll have to do, not looking forward to that...

Kewcumber · 04/06/2007 13:52

The is a Tesco Mecca in Osterley which is a little further than your local one but is luuurvely. Paddle and I sometimes visit it for a treat, Foxie pretends she does but have never seen her there so I think she's just showing off.

Paddlechick666 · 04/06/2007 14:00

i can only go if it's with QC coz otherwise i get a bit intimidated.

i also take twice the time to shop and spend way more than usual!

SJ99 · 04/06/2007 14:08

I don't think I've ever been to Tesco Mecca, this is getting way too exciting

Paddlechick666 · 04/06/2007 14:14

tooooo tired to do any work.

want to go and lie down and sleeeeeep

SJ99 · 04/06/2007 14:22

sfxmum · 04/06/2007 14:32

Paddlechick666 · 04/06/2007 14:35

i like the logo!

sfx, haven't got any swim nappies but if i'm organised enough i might see you there.

what's the form? is there parking?

lemonaid · 04/06/2007 14:36

I was on Hooooooooooolidaaaaaay. Which I also mentioned in Richmond Park, I'm pretty sure, because I was in pre-holiday skipping around telling everyone I was going on holiday mood . As opposed to now, when I'm back and fed up and have deadlines coming out of my ears and have no prospect of any more time off for ages. Bah.

stepfordwife · 04/06/2007 15:00

er, despite its pinkness, like the logo too..

Kewcumber · 04/06/2007 15:07

Paddle I have some swim nappies you could borrow but they are a bit snug on DS so might be too big a squeeze?

Kewcumber · 04/06/2007 15:08

Steppie and paddle your views don't count

Kewcumber · 04/06/2007 15:08

just to clarify - I was a bit abrupt - your views don't count because YOU OBVIOUSLY HAVE NO TASTE

Paddlechick666 · 04/06/2007 15:44

cor she gives with one hand and takes away with the other don't she!

anything that's snug on your ds will be boa constrictor like on my dd!

thanks tho.

ps: piss orf with your reference to our not having any taste!

Kewcumber · 04/06/2007 15:56

they might be stretchier than I think though - you're welcome to try. And they are a lurid colour with pointless patterns on them so they'd be right up your street

Paddlechick666 · 04/06/2007 16:03

even if they are stretchy they're still snug on your ds. i don't want to give dd a tummy ache!

and anyway, dd doesn't do lurid!

Kewcumber · 04/06/2007 16:04

no pink in sight though

Caraloony · 04/06/2007 16:04

Hello girls,

Man, I can't get used to the speed of this group - I went to check the May one and thought you'd all been sucked off the face of the planet ... and then discovered another five minutes of reading in this thread!! Can I put a tentative hand up for your pizza night - we have some friends staying with us at the moment but I'd like to meet you all and am sure I could beg a night out from hubby/friends and they can manage the kids... if you decide on the date first, I'll pin DH down for duty.

Also, the friends were hoping to go out sans kids on Thursday this week but I'm having trouble finding a sitter. Does anyone have any good recommendations or know of anyone who'd be happy to do it? In the whole year I've been in the UK I've only gone out TWICE and the girl I used was an Aussie friend who's now gone back home. And I just don't know anyone else!!! I had a look at the nanny board but it doesn't seem to be about placements, but more about nannies / APs helping each other.
