Almost made it to the end of the month. Children are gone. I am free until Sunday lunch

it was almost like the old high-flying days.. lawyers meetings and last minute panics and ...

foxcub · 07/06/2007 21:04

I'm doing some exciting stuff at work atm - like threatening to sue!

ComeOVeneer · 07/06/2007 21:05

Snap mellow. The best I can come up with is today I made my own sushi for lunch.

Oops. Forgot that's the new syntax for doing links.

Try again.

I'll see if I could find a topless David Tennant pic to cheer you up.

mellow2 · 07/06/2007 21:07

Err, didn't mean to post the comment about DT.

foxcub · 07/06/2007 21:12

can't you find a pic of him then?

foxcub · 07/06/2007 21:12

can't you find a pic of him then?

mellow2 · 07/06/2007 21:15

Wow, foxie, you're eager.

I'm afraid DT was fully clothed in all the pics I found.

stepfordwife · 07/06/2007 22:16

foxie, yeah, let's set the cybermen on the eejits at you work..mind you, the scarycrows, er, scared me half to death.

kc Wow! did you buy a compant today?! (lots of "i'm not worthy" gestures)

stepfordwife · 07/06/2007 22:17

company even..i can't even spell it, never mind buy it...

Kewcumber · 07/06/2007 22:23

I did steppie - though it was a used one not brand new. Hopefully it will make us some money and I will be able to retire on the proceeds of my meagre share options which which overnight become worth millions

stepfordwife · 07/06/2007 22:39

waddya mean..not brand new?! and there was me getting impressed. pah!

Kewcumber · 08/06/2007 08:07

darling son was up at 5am this morning [bleary eyed emoticon] so down to earth with a bump after all that high flying

Kewcumber · 08/06/2007 08:09

anyone want to meet today? GOing to tesco early and suspect that dS will need a nap early

SushiMummy · 08/06/2007 08:10

Sorry foxie, it must be very frustrating for you. Hope things work out OK.

CoV, you made your own sushi? Wow, I am impressed! I am rubbish at cooking and live on M&S food, just-put-them-in-the-oven stuff. Shame.

Mellow, my DS is likely to be an only child, too. Only is not lonely, is it?

QC, did you do a TOB and kicked all the management out?

foxcub · 08/06/2007 10:06

Kew - Kids really bring you back down to earth don't they? You whizz home from some high flying meeting and they vomit or poo all over you. Nothing more grounding than wiping your baby's bottom LOL! DS2 woke me 4 times last night for feeds usually its 2 - so I'm haggard today..

Just found out my home insurance DOES have up to £100,000 legal cover, including employment disputes Which means I could use my friend shigh flying lawyer hubbie if need be. I'm to call him at 4pm for some free advice

Step - how is your spotty muldoon?

pudding77 · 08/06/2007 10:41

foxie, I hope this gets sroted for you without having to use a solicitor. Its really frustrating isn't it? I'm having problems atm trying to get a reference from my old boss, just keeps ignoring my emails & messages.

stepfordwife · 08/06/2007 11:20

hey, kew, would love to meet up today, but i'm off to sunny brighton as soon as i've finished some work for my weekend jolly...sorry to show-off, will stop now

foxie - ds1 fine now, ta muchly. just a few spots on his face which looks like acne - together with his surfy dude-meets-grunge hair, looks like a mini-teenager!
fab about your insurance covering employment issues. easier said than done, i know, but try not to get too stressed about it - don't empower the bastards to spoil your ML any more, eh?

sushimummy - know where you're coming from. have actually very recently started doing "proper" cooking. (or trying to. the day i can actually make a cheese sauce properly is the day i'll know i'm a "real" woman.

but when my dc hear a stab of the fork into the cellophane followed by a "ping" four minutes later, they say:"Mummy's cooking!"

have a fab weekend everyone

hope you are all ok today

Eleusis · 08/06/2007 12:13

Oi, Foxy, over here!

Eleusis · 08/06/2007 12:15

Only very very briefly scanned, but I wanted to say that I bet if we did a study we'd find only children get better educations (because you can afford private if you only have to pay for one of them).

Eleusis · 08/06/2007 12:15

PS I hate Brighton.

mellow2 · 08/06/2007 12:27

foxie,
good news about employment cover.

stepfordwife · 08/06/2007 13:23

thanks, sfx - hope the fat lip goes down!

ps ele - don't care you don't like brighton
tbh, apart from from walks by the sea, oh maybe a bit of shopping, will be holed up in my room sleeping, reading, watching TV, drinking chilled white and eating chocolate. if can find the energy, may throw my saggy, baggy body at the nice pristine spa ladies to see if they can sort me out
