Almost made it to the end of the month. Children are gone. I am free until Sunday lunch

kc hope you had a good time with ned, last night

mellow2 · 07/06/2007 13:35

Poor you, foxie. You really don't need work-related problems atm.

stepfordwife · 07/06/2007 13:42

..and you're excellent at your job. they need you more than you need them.

ComeOVeneer · 07/06/2007 15:28

LOL at fully functioning dh. I would never ask him to come off the medication to fulfill my desire for another child. Guess we will just have to see what happens.

Foxi - sorry about the work thing. Having been through looooooads of work related crap I think the best thing is (if possible) for you to arrange a meeting/tele-conference and voice your opinion of the negativities of your team being moved. I agree with steppie, keep emotions completely under control and stick to the facts of how it is a bad move. Fingers crossed for you.

CoV - Sorry about the dilemma. QC's advise is good. Rather than make any hasty decicions, give it some time and see how you feel with things as they are. Hope it all works out.

How's baby QC today?

Forgot to say happy belated b'days to Paddle and mini-sfx!

ComeOVeneer · 07/06/2007 15:50

Meant to ask after ds aswell KC .

OP posts:
stepfordwife · 07/06/2007 16:08

thanks for reminding me, COV...meant to ask after the gherkin, too
more to the point, kc, hope you've managed to have a shower by now

sfxmum · 07/06/2007 17:06

foxie well that sounds at the very least pretty annoying, i am sorry it is stressing you out.
like i said i rather keep work colleagues at arms lenght somehow they always seem to take advantage when you aren't paying full attention, i do believe in keeping records, copies of records minutes or even just notes of conversations, etc. can't be too careful, it is worth just checking all your options with union and getting copies of your companies policies on descrimination/ grievance procedures etc.
well thats my bit

cov - i am sorry you are in this situation, whichever way you look at it having children is always an emotive issue iam sure time will help resolve it either way, take care

i am also quite scared of trying again although i really want a second child, i think the memory of previous miscarriages are sort of holding me back and at 38 its not like i have a lot of time

ComeOVeneer · 07/06/2007 17:30

Thanks for all your kind words everyone. I appreciate the concern and helpful advice, particularly as the reality of a second, let alone a third is at question (btw I hope that hasn't upset/offended anyone, but I spent ages trying to think how to word that so it expressed my sentiments but I often get it wrong).

KewC - your cleaner's daughter (think that's who she was) just called to say cleaner's Dhj won't make this appointment this evening to give us a quote.

She said they have to go to Poland at short notice.

Is it true do you know or do you think they just can't be bothered as its a small job?

Suffering from a wee bit of paranoia today!

sfxmum · 07/06/2007 18:17

oh a frivolous note take a look at dh's effort at baking a character cake, the face went all melty bless him

and for my fun tomorrow i will star the day at the dentistare you around at lunchtime foxie?

pudding77 · 07/06/2007 18:22

bless him for the effort tho, its more than my dh would do!

Btw, I think anyone who wants/has more than 1 child is amazing, after my week with ds I just can't bear the thought of more and may well beat dh off with a stick!

pudding77 · 07/06/2007 18:23

just reread my last post & that's probably tmi, sorry

Kewcumber · 07/06/2007 19:46

Hello all DS seems fine even his cough, though still there is looser and i managed a shower this morning. Which is a good job as I had to tart myself up and buy a company today

mellow2 · 07/06/2007 20:20

Foxie,
You've been in my thoughts today. I hope you get your situation sorted out to your satisfaction speedily.

I can't offer any suggestions as I don't deal very well with situations like these (I had a boss who wanted me fired once) as I have a very short fuse.

You have my full moral support in this matter.

mellow2 · 07/06/2007 20:21

QC,
Glad ds is better. I had to say that I was scared witless the 1st time dd had a projectile vomitting episode.

foxcub · 07/06/2007 20:40

Thanx mellow - I'm badly in need of cyber hugs atm. I loved my job but now feel very isolated as they clearly regard me with contempt (well two men there do anyway)

foxcub · 07/06/2007 20:41

KewC - glad little DS is feeling better

Has your sister's builder gone to Poland then, or was he fibbing do you think?

[paranoid]

Kewcumber · 07/06/2007 20:55

it's possible Foxie as she didn't come to clean on Wednesday, so don't feel too victimised. He's done smallish jobs for my mum before so don;t see why he would turn yours down.

Kewcumber · 07/06/2007 20:56

so no-one even slightly impressed that i bought a company today then . Bloosy waste of time name dropping with you lot...

mellow2 · 07/06/2007 20:57

Foxie,
I know it's hard but don't take it personally. Those two men probably treat everyone at work the same way.

While work is important (I'm a workaholic myself) family is more important and you've got your 3 beautiful DCs.

Sorry, I think I got a bit carried away [sentimental emoticon]

foxcub · 07/06/2007 20:58

I was thinking about that while I washed my hair just now - pretty impressive. Can you buy Company and make me boss please?

Did you buy it for DS LOL!!

foxcub · 07/06/2007 20:59

Mellow - was that supposed to be a link to David Tennant standing with his arms out, ready to hug me LOL!?

mellow2 · 07/06/2007 21:00

QC,
I had to ignore your comment as I was just too since I couldn't come back with a story about the exciting stuff I do at work.

Kewcumber · 07/06/2007 21:01

no you dill () it was for work - I bought a rel working operating company (even had to pay some cash not just throw a pile of our shares at them).

Must go watch House
