Hi, I know there are a few of us in Dorset so would anyone be interested in a meet up? I'm not a usual mumsnetter as I don't have any children.....yet but thought it would be nice to meet some/all of you so roll up roll up

Delgirl, scrap the last email I sent you about 8th, hadn't seen this! 15th is fine with me.

Bunglie · 22/10/2004 11:08

The 15th seems to be good then....
Where?
Would you like me to come to Bournmouth (I have only ever been there once!) or do you have somewhere in mind....?

Merlin, Kittypickle and the rest what about you??

DelGirl · 22/10/2004 20:44

Looks like it's the 15th then . Is Bournemouth ok for you Bunglie, I think Castlepoint seems to be favourite at the moment. Marks & Next are on 2 levels but there are large lifts. Lots of shops & a few cafe's serving hot chocolate and brownies, does that sound ok?

bunny2 · 22/10/2004 20:47

Well, it's only a week away from my due date but I'd love to come.

Bunglie · 23/10/2004 21:29

I'll be there...what time? Could you make it an afternoon anytime after midday?

Bunglie · 23/10/2004 21:30

Oh bunny2 could you arrange not to go into labour early......I want to check out all the baby shops.....

bunny2 · 24/10/2004 16:09

Beleive me Bunglie, if I could have this baby right now I would! I am big and uncomfortable, irritable and weepy, tired and (this is the worst) becoming incontinent!!

I will see if my mum can have ds for the afternoon, he wont sit still long enough for me to have a conversation.

Merlin · 24/10/2004 16:56

Hi fellow dorset gals!!

15th is Ok for me if DS can go to his grandparents for a couple of hours - otherwise same problem - won't be able to have a conversation!!!

Bunglie · 24/10/2004 17:08

Please if necessary bring all ds's and dd's I will engage them in conversation...

Bunny2 I will brush up on my emergency midwifery skills, but please hang on for a bit....but if you do happen to have a baby bunny before the 15th then it will be an extra cause for celebration.

I want to know why womens waters never seem to break whilst in Tesco's for example....

So the 15th is no longer in 'pencil' but crayola in my diary and as mums know this is indelible......now where would you like to meet?

Lots of shops, with seats for those who need them and lots of chocolate brownies.....Is there a shopping centre in Bournmouth?? or would you like to meet elsewhere? I will go where ever you like as I do not have any little Bunglies to worry about....I just ask that it is wheelchair accessible.

This Bunglie is getting excited...Is it something in the 'dorset water' that so many Dorset mums are pg?

DelGirl · 25/10/2004 18:19

Hi all . Bournemouth is ok but with Bunny2 about to pop (hi Bunny), Bunglie doing wheelies and Merlin and I probably feeling tired (nothing to say about Jodee's current state , then Castlepoint maybe best as it's mainly on one level. Does that sound ok with everyone or is there somewhere else you'd prefer?

OP posts:
jodee · 25/10/2004 18:53

It's a permanent state of confusion, Delgirl!

DelGirl · 25/10/2004 18:57

oh that old chestnut, same of r me i'm afraid. It shall make for an eventful meet then lol

OP posts:
Kittypickle · 25/10/2004 19:29

I can make the 15th as long as I can get someone to pick DD from school and I'll have to bring DS with me - I am quite concerned about all this pregnancy business and will only come if someone can guarentee that it's not catching !

DelGirl · 25/10/2004 19:32

hello Kittypickle . Just make sure you don't sit on the same seat.

OP posts:
Kittypickle · 25/10/2004 19:33

Oh Ok then, I'll come and will have a chair all to myself How are you feeling Delgirl ?

DelGirl · 25/10/2004 19:36

a bit bleurgh tbh, just off to park my behind on the sofa and watch all manner of rubbish on the telly

OP posts:
Kittypickle · 25/10/2004 19:48

Hope you feel a bit better later Delgirl

bunny2 · 25/10/2004 20:46

Castlepoint is fine with me. Might even be able to squeeze in some last minute shopping too.

DelGirl · 28/10/2004 14:40

Looks like its Castlpoint on the 15th then

Bunny2 if she's not gone into labour
Merlin if she's not sick/tired
Jodee if she can find it
Bunglie if she doesn't get stopped by the wheelie police
Kittypickle provided she doesn't get pregnant
Delgirl if i'm not sick/tired

Any other takers?

OP posts:
Bunglie · 28/10/2004 22:24

Stopped by the 'wheelie Police'...I am the Wheelie Police!!

You won't be icky Delgirl....one question...
Where/what is Castlepoint??

See you on the 15th!

I will be the one in uniform with a truncheon!!

jodee · 28/10/2004 22:31

Oo-er Bunglie!

Castlepoint info here for you.

I may be confused, but as I'm currently working there, I'll be OK!

Bunglie · 29/10/2004 14:17

Oooh! it is big...where are we meeting?
and I trust as you work there Jodee that you will know the best place for chocolate cookies etc........I'm getting all excited now...think I had better come in plain clothes!!!

mandajane2004 · 29/10/2004 15:32

i'm new to this and was wondering a bit about the bournemotuh meet as I am in talbot village and a single mum to a 2 year old so looking for some new friends??

Bunglie · 29/10/2004 15:52

Well come and join us Mandajane.....the morethe merrier I say.....

where is Talbot Village? Have you just moved or lived here ages....and if you want to bring your 2 year old...I am sure the others would not mind...Delgirl needs to practice and Merlin and Bunny2 are pg (I think it's something in the water you know!! ) Is 'it' a boy or girl ?

Sooooory! Being a bit nosey here so choose to ignore if you want, I will not be offended.

jodee · 29/10/2004 17:19

Hope you can come along, mandajane, don't think we've agreed a time yet (have we, Delgirl?) so watch this space for more info.
