Marks do lovely choccy refrigerator squares, get some of those!

Kittypickle · 01/10/2004 13:14

Chocolate Brownies and Health Spars ?????? Oh yes please I don't mind what we do at all. I am a bit restricted by the school run during the week though and by DS's nap, but I'm sure I can work something out. Delgirl, I'm sorry the m/s isn't going, hope it does really really soon.

Bunglie · 01/10/2004 13:20

DelGirl, Just let us know when YOU are ready and over the morning Ickies

We can combine it with a bit of Christmas shopping ...... (via baby and mum shops !)

Suziewong I will need to taste test those brownies...

Merlin · 01/10/2004 22:41

Hi fellow dorset girlies! Choc brownies sound fab to me too. Feeling quite grotty at moment on and off - just want to feel normal (I was once I think!!). An evening meetup sounds great, or daytime suits me - DS is at nursery every am except Monday. Hope everyone feels better soon - DG got my first scan at Poole on Wed - very excited and nervous at same time - keep dreaming there are two in there! (BTW DH is a non-identical twin and MIL miscarried the twin of his eldest brother) Don't know if I could be likely for 2 or not!!

Merlin · 01/10/2004 22:53

DG - sorted out my details now you should get my email address. look forward to hearing from you!

DelGirl · 03/10/2004 19:34

HI. well maybe we can do a day and eve meet up. What do you think? Still feeling grot here too but it's gotta stop sometime. Good luck with the scan on Wednesday Merlin

Lou, what are these refrigerator squares then? I'm surprised i've not seen them as my local Marks have a lovely pattiserie. Will have to try them when I next venture out.

Chocolate, cherries, nuts, biscuit squares. V rich, v sweet, yummy.

jodee · 08/10/2004 21:13

Hello DelGirl et al ... would love to do a daytime coffee/brownie meet (and I adore refrigerator squares! ). Could only do a Monday or Sunday though, but if that doesn't suit then maybe another time, have a great night out though, girls.

lunavix · 13/10/2004 13:33

hey i'm a bournemouth girl, i moved away a few years ago but i still come back a few times a week - is there anything going on in bournemouth?

Kittypickle · 13/10/2004 13:53

Hi Lunavix ! We are still trying to sort something out, what days are you around ?

Bunglie · 13/10/2004 14:09

Lou33 you are not a Doeset lass....go and count your thongs....we will eat all the chocolate brownies...heee heee (we love you really but don't want to tell you or your head will get too big!)- You could become an 'honourary Dorset Girl, for a me £5 a week -interested, cash accepted

Serious stuff- Del Girl (and Merlin) how is the icky bit....I am still in favour of a daytime meetup due to the fact that the last train to my home is 8.30!!so the evening is out.

But shopping...chocolate brownies...a good gossip and count me in, I will even sit in a park and feed ducks if you want me too, but I want chocolate brownies!

I think we should make the date when your Morning/allday head down the loo has finished....it can be pretty expensive to use a public loo now. I shall be guided by you girls and your payments lou33

lunavix · 13/10/2004 14:41

I'm around weekends and monday and wednesday evenings mainly, but I can come down some week days - you'd think there was no mums where i live i can't find ANY!
I'll just keep track of what's going on and if i can come then cool

Bunglie · 13/10/2004 14:58

Awe Lunavix, I would be your 'local' friend but most Doset Mnetters live your end of Dorset, I think I am the only one who live the Dorchester end. (no I don't live in Dorchester, but about 10 miles away!)

lunavix · 13/10/2004 15:04

No dorset isn't local for me i'm now in berkshire! It's up here theres no mums and regretting the move i visit bournemouth a lot to see friends

DelGirl · 14/10/2004 21:28

Right, this has gone on long enough so I'm going to set a date . How about the afternoon of Monday the 25th of October? Anybody? Venue and baby shops negotiable, brownies obligatory

OP posts:
Bunglie · 16/10/2004 17:53

I think the 25th is OK for me...where?
I can catch a train to Bournmouth if you like, or anywhere in between Dorchester and Bournmouth....so I am easy and the afternoon is good for me as it gives me time to get there...I will go and write it down now!

I will check back later to sort out venue with you, but need to log off for a while, back later, Bye...

DelGirl · 17/10/2004 16:17

This is where my social organising skills fall down (at the 1st hurdle), thinking of a suitable interesting place for a meet up. A few people have suggested Castlepoint, yummy Brownies served at M & S or there's central Bournemouth. Doesn't sound all that inspiring does it? I suppose unless there are children coming along we're not likely to go to a park or anything so how does that sound. I suppose if the day turns out to be nice weather wise, we could always go to one of the cafe's near/on the beach instead.

OP posts:
DelGirl · 19/10/2004 13:16

Bunglie, any chance we can change the date to possibly the 8th of November. Jodee is unable to make the 25th (half term) and I can't make the 1st. What'dya reckon?

OP posts:
Bunglie · 20/10/2004 13:03

OOps...the 8th of November is a hospital day trip for me...sorry girls...but if you decide to go then make sure that you eat a chocolate brownie for me
Bunglie

Bunglie · 20/10/2004 15:35

Okay...I cant make 6-8th or 12th november, I am fairly free the rest of the time and could juggle some dates if necessary.....sorry!!

DelGirl · 20/10/2004 16:02

Ok, so we maybe looking at the 15th then. We shall have to eat yule logs at this rate and drink alcohol free (for me) mulled wine, yumm.

OP posts:
Bunglie · 20/10/2004 16:05

Don't worry Del Girl...I will drink your share of Mulled wine WITH alcohol...so you don't feel left out
15th sounds good....
Ooh! do you have any craving yet?

DelGirl · 20/10/2004 16:15

no, not really although I have eaten a fair amount of hummus & pitta & olives but always regret it after. I love my food normally as shows in my substantial waist line but it bores me at the mo, still doesn't stop me eating loads tho . Heard my baby's heart beat today, the m/w gave me a hug bless her, we were both over the moon.

OP posts:
Bunglie · 20/10/2004 16:27

Awe! Delgirl I am happy for you.
I will pencil the 15th in my diary...
