nor am I ! . dh starts job on 18th June and at the moment we are looking at going there for September

Eleusis · 10/05/2007 16:41

Cool, so we can come in October, which granted may be a bit early for ski season, but we can come aback a few months later.

We must get together while you are still here being a single parent.

Nanou1 · 10/05/2007 16:59

that would be fab! we'll speak tomorrow, need to leave as it's 5pm have a nice evening

Eleusis · 10/05/2007 17:00

Right, I'm in the queue for October. So, the rest of you will have to go to Singapore.

suejonez · 10/05/2007 19:37

Cov - meting for Mile for Maude is at 11am at Sheen gate car park in Richmond park (parking is free and if its full then you can park in the streets outside the park (very close to the car park so very short walk). I had planned on a picnic if the weather is OK, not sure what we're going to do if its pouring. Weather forecast for Saturday is some rain some clear so not much help.

pudding77 · 10/05/2007 20:41

Quiet tonight...

trying2bgood · 10/05/2007 20:43

How are things everybody? I have had a run in with on-line fraudsters and as a result the laptop has gone into melt down and I have very limited internet access, so will not really be able to keep up with mumsnet at all for the forseeable future!

Love to you all, hope everything goes to plan for all of you, will try to pop in occasionally to check up on what is happening. Quokka - good luck with all the house stuff, tennis has now moved to Fridays! Let me know if about your leaving do (assuming it has not already happened!)

foxcub · 10/05/2007 20:48

hi all

xxx

foxcub · 10/05/2007 20:49

...haven't time to catch up so [group hug] to you all

pudding77 · 10/05/2007 20:49

How's little fox cub doing?

foxcub · 10/05/2007 21:11

he's getting more demanding as you may have gathered....wants to be entertained all day

i feel a bit distracted by this whole Madelaine McCann thing TBH - its so dreadful and I keep watching BBC24 and Sky news in the hope of something positive.

I know its got nothing to do with me but she's same age as my DD and its so appalling I keep thinking about her all the time and chacking the news thread...

suejonez · 10/05/2007 23:17

Foxie if the eather is reasonable I thought I might go to your school fair on Sunday...

foxcub · 10/05/2007 23:24

Ooh yes do Sue - its got loads of kids stuff (entertainment and toys)

Plus we'll be there, which alone makes it worth attending!

Paddlechick666 · 11/05/2007 06:12

school fair? tell me more please ;-)

suejonez · 11/05/2007 06:56

foxies school fair 12-4/5 (?) not sure yet if I'll go for 12 and feed DS there or after nap at 2.30 ish depends on the weather I guess. Where is it Foxie - is it actually in the school grounds?

suejonez · 11/05/2007 06:57

and what are you doing on MN at that time of the morning?

Paddlechick666 · 11/05/2007 07:14

suejonez · 11/05/2007 09:30

I will be at Childs Play cafe in Chiswick this morning with another friedns from about 10.30am if anyone wants to join us...

Surprise you're not sleeping Paddle

foxcub · 11/05/2007 09:44

Hiya

Hoping for my fab new "Phil & Teds" double buggy to arrive this morning so am very excited.

DS2 has his jabs at 11.30am - so wish him luck

Sue/Paddle, school fair is 12.30-4pm on Sunday in the school grounds and in the hall if its raining. Loads of stuff for kids there...

I can text you location - please don't mention name of school on here as it will blow my cover !!

Cheers M'Dears

MrsRecycle · 11/05/2007 09:45

Good luck ds2!

RIP bendy bus

foxcub · 11/05/2007 09:53

MrsR - am so excited about having a new buggy - we haven't bought a new one for 6 years!!!

What to do with the four old ones though? Am hoping to donate bendy bus to school fair - could get a tenner for it for the school I reckon....

I can't wait to step out with my "P&T"!! (as opposed to G&T)

Nanou1 · 11/05/2007 09:59

morning all. thank God it's Friday . how is everyone? was up at 6am too paddle... not sleeping very well either. nothing to report at the moment. i too feel very very distracted by Madeleine's story... poor parents... i can never leave my dd out of my sight and events like are not helping me to relax. was in my local tesco last night and a mum was telling her little off saying "dont run away ; i want to be able to see you at all times!" - really makes people aware anything can happen at any time. awful awful stuff . hope you are all ok and good luck for the jab! x

MrsRecycle · 11/05/2007 10:01

How exciting - I love getting new buggys and nearly brought a Loola off ebay the other night but resisted the temptation. How about getting rid via freecycle?? I can send you the link via email if you want. Freecycle is brilliant, our lawnmower blew up and someone was getting rid of one on freecycle so problem solved.

MrsRecycle · 11/05/2007 10:03

I know Nannou - dd2 has been ill and ordinarily I'd leave her on the sofa whilst I popped to the school to pick up dd1 but I just couldn't bring myself. Are you coming to Quokka's leaving do, if so do you want to add your name to the thread (its in meet-ups)?

Any chance you and paddle could come over to mine at 6am - ds has decided thats his time for getting up and I've been feeling really rough with flu and would love a lie-in! Ah well dh is back today so I might get a lie-in tomorrow (we'll see!).

Nanou1 · 11/05/2007 10:08

hi MrsR. would love to come and waiting for Sue (hosting i seem to remember)to say "ok there is enough room for your big butt" really. will check other thread. try fresh ginger and lemon in boiled water for your flu. it does work ... is it you who hate ginger
