DS1 did an explosive poo in Ikea once - all up his back etc. He must have been on FF by then as it stank and I had to dash to the toilets to try and clean him up.

..I just remember using up all of their towels trying to wash him in the sink and various female customers entering the public toilets where we were, then running out gagging 'cos of the smell. At least wheh its B milk it doesn't smell offensive!

anyway - its pouring with rain.

Sue/Paddle - Think we will explore Tesco Mecca today rather than Kew Gardens Fair. I have to admit I hate Kew Gardens in the rain - have been caught too many times too far from the gates in the pouring rain

must do some tidying up later too - oooh what an excitring life.

Wonder what MrsR is doing and if she's having better weather at the beach...

foxcub · 07/05/2007 12:33

Ds2 just did another explosive poo all over DH - who shouted out "help!"

suejonez · 07/05/2007 16:18

sorry paddle - weather was so rubbish I just decamped over to my mums for the day so didn;t get onto MN. How about I drive over after tea with the cup?

Paddlechick666 · 07/05/2007 16:27

afternoon all

kew was definately one to miss - it tipped down and C&C was horrendous!

had lunch with my friends and then we all decamped here for a cup of tea and the girls played really nicely together.

dd loved having a man around and started calling him daddy & altho it was mainly as friend's dd was doing it of course....

sue, don't worry about the cup for now. will pop over and pick it up weds eve when my ma gets here prob - if that's okay with you?

phone is still buggered so if anyone is trying to ring or text my mobile i won't know i'm afraid!

suejonez · 07/05/2007 17:11

Weds night is fine Paddle - sorry about Kew, sounds like the right decision not to go...

foxcub · 07/05/2007 18:22

well we had a very exciting time: 90 minutes outside halfords Isleworth with a member of staff trying to fit our new windscrene wipers (poor man was soaked) the a further 90 minutes in Mecca.

How stressful shopping with 3 kids aged between 7 weeks and 7 years - the best behaved was DS2!!!

Off to heat up some onion bhajis now {licks lips}

suejonez · 07/05/2007 19:32

DS is eating like a horse the last 2 days - after a plate of chili and rice at lunchtime, a "snack" of a whole organix cereal bar he polished off an adults sized packet of fish in butter sauce with cous-couse for tea (minus a generous spoonful for me) . Don't know where he puts it all

foxcub · 07/05/2007 19:43

...as long as he doesn't squirt it out t'other end like my DS2!

suejonez · 07/05/2007 19:46

hmm, well its got to go somewhere... think he's eaten his body weight in food today but on the upside he is pretty much back to his perky self today. We had a lovely day despite rubbish weather. Have got in to the habit of going out for a stroll after tea on the days I have him when the weather is good, just 20 mins or so but its lovely.

SFX we walked past your place this evening at about 6pm - I nearly rang you.

foxcub · 07/05/2007 19:57

he'll suddenly grow now Sue

sfxmum · 07/05/2007 20:10

hello everyone

still in coms wilderness here.

sue did you go walk by the river? it's dd's favourite activity

on the subject of explosive poo, gosh dd had quite a few still does from time to time i always carry spare clothes just in case.

i have been looking at the portuguese papers given recent events, it is all very disturbing really

hope you are all ok, we have mostly been eating Nigella's quaduple chocolate cake in hnour of dh's birthday.
who incidently was sent out on that day until he could manage a decent mood, men honestly

foxcub · 07/05/2007 20:39

ymmu cake by the sounds of it sfx - what is the Portugese paper's take on the missing child?

sue - when mine eat and sleep a lot, they then suddenly wake up 4 inches taller

suejonez · 08/05/2007 09:41

Anyone else doing Mile for Maude on Saurday? thread

sfxmum · 08/05/2007 10:11

hello good morning all

sue - i think i will have to pull out and sponsor one of you. i will have a wisdom tooth out on wednesday followed by root canal thingy on friday, might be feeling rather miserable on saturday, sorry

foxie - it is not much different by i was struck by the cultural differences, sometimes i forget

hope you are all ok think will spend the day putting back some order in this flat and planning ahead since the weather does not seem to lend itself to many outdoor pursuits

foxcub · 08/05/2007 10:16

Sue - I would love to but can't really promise I can commit as I need to prioritise Monti's feeds. I'd love to say yes but on the day would probably turn up an hour late or something

pudding77 · 08/05/2007 10:40

Morning all, another miserable day weather-wise by the look of it!

Ds is shattered after our weekend away, his daytime naps always seem to go a bit haywire at my mums so he's gone for a nap now. Might take a stoll out this afternoon but not very far.

MrsRecycle · 08/05/2007 10:45

Morning puds and all! Had a lovely weekend away - but I now know what it feels like to be a single mum to 4 kids (dd1 had a friend with her) and am completely shattered. dh had to stay at home to see the priest to sort out ds' christening.

Right off to sort out my messy home - why can't men leave things clean and tidy?

suejonez · 08/05/2007 12:23

Foxie why don;t you com eon spec if you can drag your brood together in time! Come for a picnic at 12noon if the weather is good.

Paddlechick666 · 08/05/2007 12:31

i have just had a screaming row with the orange shop about my phone not having turned up yet.

i will admit that it was due to be delivered before 1pm but it hadn't yet arrived.

after having a big blue with customer services yesterday i got rather pissed off when the shop said they couldn't ring up to check it had been despatched - only i could do that apparently.

evidently orange uk and orange retail are too seperate. they have no concept of customer service.

so i had a major paddy. then they told me getting irate with them wouldn't incline them to be helpful

then my phone showed up whilst i was talking to them and now i have to go in there and swap them over

honestly, i think i am out of control at the moment!

they're sooo going to take the moral highground with me when i go in there shortly.

suejonez · 08/05/2007 12:56

send your mum in with it on Thursday - don;t tell her you had a barney with them

Paddlechick666 · 08/05/2007 13:04

lol! if i could do without it till then i might but i feel like i've had something amputated without my phone!

and the whole point of doing it in the shop was so i could bluetooth all my contacts across etc.

leaving shortly and suppose i will have to eat some humble pie. altho not a very big slice as i think they were bloody awful considering I am the customer!

and i am always right whether customer or not!!!

foxcub · 08/05/2007 13:18

Paddle

Snap!

I've just made a complaint to my GP surgery:

We can never see HV as she is only available Fridays 1.30-3pm, so Monti has not been measured for 5 weeks and has had no 6 week check

Gps refuse to do either measuring or 6 week check

Made an appt for 1st jab and just arranged my whole bloody day around his jabs to be told when I arrived he can't have the jabs as he hasn't seen the HV

So we have a catch 22 - where I can't see HV due to her limited availability and he can't be immunised until we see HV

suejonez · 08/05/2007 13:23

don;t GP's get paid to immunise? Can;t belielve they will turn money away [cynical emoticon]

Eleusis · 08/05/2007 13:24

Foxie, they can't do that. What if you don't want to see the health visitor. I personally think they are a waste of time and the NHS could save some money if they just got rid of them. So, if I then show up for some jabs, what are they going to say? I'm certainly not required to go see a HV.

I would definately complain to the PCT and say my baby was refused his jabs.

foxcub · 08/05/2007 13:48

Good idea Ele
