I've decided not to go to KGF. Dh has taken ds off to his dm for the day, so I'm going to go have a bath & chill out!

Sorry KC, not much use for you. What about CPC? That would use up a morning/afternoon at least.

Paddlechick666 · 28/05/2007 10:36

i think KGF is out for us too. the weather is just too foul.

friends are on their way over so anticipate an indoor picnic and an afternoon of chaos with 3 toddlers running around.

dd is loving her new drum kit, she's banging away and so is my head!

pud, your day sounds bliss!

foxcub · 28/05/2007 11:43

We're going to KGF sometime after 3pm when the weather is predicted to improve. Howevere, I will probably just go with DS1 as I don't think walking round a muddy field with anyone much under 7 would be much fun!! DD has a tendency to trip over and I can just visualise he falling face down in the mud (as has often happened before...).

There is a fair on at Old Deer Park I think , but would still involved rain, mud and expensive rides so we'll give that a miss.

Snakes and ladders might be opne Sue - has DS been there? He'd love all the climbing - although it will be packed today if its open...

We drove down to Bath yesterday to see my Mum which was great - the kids had a lovely time. My Mum plies me with property papers when I see her, to convince me we could move there mortgage free

Talking of Mums...QC - would your Mum be interested in adopting me?

I could really get into having Sunday lunch cooked for me!! Plus a local Mum would be much more useful than a Wiltshire Mum

foxcub · 28/05/2007 11:44

Must stop calling you Sue..KewCumber!

Steppy - sorry to hear your DS2 has got the spots - I thought your DS's had had the piox already???

sfxmum · 28/05/2007 11:46

hello all

2cute i hope you are feeling better, do send your dh to parenting and husbady lessons dispatched with a kick up the backsidehonestly!

puds hope ds is ok, dd has a few of those too

hello everyone else, rubbish weather, we managed a walk along the river yesterday for some puddle action and watching al the snails and trains of course, but it is just to faul today
so we are starting with finger painting and baking later i think
and possibly a walk to the shops at some point

quokka · 28/05/2007 12:41

pudding77 · 28/05/2007 12:57

hi quokka, just spoken to my friend and she does have a bottle warmer already, but has said that if the P&T sunshade doesn't sell, then she'd be interested in that.

Kewcumber · 28/05/2007 13:14

quokka I'll take the humax digi box if its cheap - have been thinking about one for the bedroom but I don't have an aerial in there. But can buy the digi box from you and worry about the aerial later!

Kewcumber · 28/05/2007 13:14

if yu're around I could pick up later?

quokka · 28/05/2007 13:30

puds sunshade gone - sorry didn't see your message!

QC £10 ok?

Kewcumber · 28/05/2007 14:17

foxcub · 28/05/2007 14:44
Sad
quokka · 28/05/2007 14:50

whats the sad face for foxy?

foxcub · 28/05/2007 15:05

Every time its a bank holiday I have all these plans. They involve going out to have fun with the kids - or if the weather is crappo, at least doing some tidying/sorting at home.

I've done nothing today and really can't be arsed and now feel exhausted, having done nothing at all.

Yet another wasted day...

foxcub · 28/05/2007 15:05
Sad
quokka · 28/05/2007 15:08

don't be silly, sometimes its good to do nothing. We did that yesterday, the only thing I manged to get done was dinner for the kids (fish fingers and chips)!

2Cute · 28/05/2007 17:04

sfx - missed not seeing you on Friday. Where are you hiding?

Foxi - I know how you feel. The whole wk/nd's been crappy but here's what I propose seeing as I feel a little more like my normal self today...

Who's around this half-term week? Its forecasted to rain all flippin week so lets think of indoor things to do. Add other ideas to the list as I think it'll be really handy on days like today!

CPC
Snakes & Ladders
Lollipop Club
Kingston Bentall Centre (toy shops & play creche).
London Aquarium
Pottery Cafe
Syon Park's: Butterfly House & Aquatic Experience
Heathrow kids gym
Bowling

xoxo · 28/05/2007 17:18

chaps i'M UP FOR BUTTERFLY HOUSE OR AQUATIC CENTRE AT SYON HSE TMRW MORN IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED? (NOT SNAKES AND LADDERS) whoops just seen caps and can't be arsed changing, sorry...

pudding77 · 28/05/2007 17:20

I have plans to meet a friend at Kidzone tomorrow morning

pudding77 · 28/05/2007 17:21

oops, posted before I'd finished, meant to say if anyone would like to meet at Kidzone tomorrow as well

Kewcumber · 28/05/2007 19:36

Quokka - thanks so much for tea for DS and all the otehr stuff. Sorry he tried to kill himself - just to prove that he does cry when he falls over sometimes (DS did a bit of a stunt man roll down Quokkas stairs). No ill effects for him but I am still a bit shaken - need a gin and tonic

Kewcumber · 28/05/2007 19:37

did your Dh pass on the message about the house swap?

Paddlechick666 · 28/05/2007 19:49

hey quokka

i'm keen on the stairgate and maybe the tote bag and maybe even the leather backpack.

friends just left and dd sparko in seconds! have actually had a fabulous day despite most of it inside - including our picnic.

managed a stroll along the river to feed ducks and all came home frozen!

quokka · 28/05/2007 20:03

not a problem QC, honestly between the 2 of them they have fallen down the stairs 4 times and been fine, but I deffo think a G&T will make you feel better . And yes he did pass on the message, thanks

PC not sure about the stairgate, and the totes gone, but can do backpack. It is the one you saw me struggling with. Sometimes the strap comes unbuckled but you can have it for £10?

Paddlechick666 · 28/05/2007 20:13

quokka, i've emailed you. bummer about gate/tote. can't remember seeing you struggle with anything but backpack sounds good.
