Well John Lewis turned up 10 mins ago. Talk about a wasted day . I am still waiting for my Kew membership to come through I applied weeks ago by post. DS napped for 3 hours this afternoon and with dd out until 6pm Ihave been at a right loose end.

Eleusis · 22/05/2007 18:02

COV, we bought a kew premier friends membership at the gate weeks ago. They sent us the cards, but no passes. Am considering stopping the direct debit if they don't get off their arses and reply to the e-mai which I have now sent twice.

Paddlechick666 · 22/05/2007 18:13

they do take ages to process membership requests by post/online.

if you have the records and go to the membership desk at vicky gate they should at least give you a temp pass.

last time my mother renewed she ended up getting about 12 passes instead of the normal six so that was good - but she waited ages!

foxcub · 22/05/2007 18:58

Every year when we renew our membership, they have to let us use our out of date card, as they never manage to send us the new one on time!

SushiMummy · 22/05/2007 19:06

Is Leeds Poli now called Leeds Met? They had fab student uni discos in 80s. Good old days...

What a beautiful evening!

stepfordwife · 22/05/2007 19:09

ah foxie..hello.
glad you enjoyed katie and peter...woiuldn't have thought it was quite your thing

dh has just come in with 3 kids running around garden naked as i was middle in attempting to get them in bath and got distracted by MN. the shame..

luckily, he seems to be going for my explantion of an exercise regime just before bath and bed will make them all sleep all night.

ComeOVeneer · 22/05/2007 19:13

It gets worse. Now the dishwasher isn't working properly. I have put in on for the 3rd time today with the same load in as tit isn't coming clean and half of the tablet is still there at the end.

pudding77 · 22/05/2007 19:29

poor CoV, can it get any worse than this?

SushiMummy, Leeds Poly is now Leeds Met! We used to have to blag our way into the nightclub seeing as we weren't 18!

pudding77 · 22/05/2007 19:47

Btw, COV, if you're around would you mind answering a question about thumb sucking?

foxcub · 22/05/2007 19:48

Would be a lovely evening if we didn't have school in the morning!!

am trying to get my two to bed and the next door neighbours on both sides have their kids still running around in the garden, which makes it very difficult.

How very dare they have fun while I am trying to be grumpy and assertive?

Mind you at least the neighbours don't put the bath on then let theirs run amock naked eh?

Kewcumber · 22/05/2007 19:48

blimey a girl turns her back for 10 mins to rustle up a quick board meeting and you turn her into a pensioner

Sushi - am blissfully unaware of people staring at me (I just assume its because of my startling beauty ). I would imagine that DS would look a bit like your DS as I think he looks very Eurasian (and in fact could well be), you aren't in my street I'm over the over side of the railway line near M&S.

You're not my first stalker though, I got stalked by Mysonsmummy in Tesco Osterley a while back who I also didn't notice staring at me! So I really am in my own little world most of the time.

Anyone around on Friday or over the weekend?

pudding77 · 22/05/2007 19:50

I'm not around on Friday but I am over the weekend. I'm being abandoned for cricket in Leeds [sob, sob].

Kewcumber · 22/05/2007 19:57

perhaps if the weather is fine we could do a Kew Gardens or Chiswick house meet? Anyone know the forecast?

Kewcumber · 22/05/2007 19:59

anyone know how Yanksuponthames is?

ComeOVeneer · 22/05/2007 20:02

Ask away puds. I am free on Friday but busy at the weekend. Being whisked away for a romatic childfee evening on Sat with dh in a hotel somewhere in London and lunch with ILs Sunday.

halogen · 22/05/2007 20:06

Hi everyone.

I'm in Richmond and have an eight month old daughter. I'd be very interested in hearing about meet ups in Kew Gardens etc (meanly we went for the basic pass but it still took bloody ages to arrive).

I'll hang around and eavesdrop and say some more when I'm braver!

halogen · 22/05/2007 20:08

Oh, and I should have said, I'm 38, work three mornings a week (with consequent semi-poverty) and am currently trying to think of schemes that mean I never have to go back to work properly. Not thought of any yet.

foxcub · 22/05/2007 20:22

kewcumber..yes, yes and unsettled

Cov
Hi Lucicle - welcome. I too have the basic pass and am also thinking of ways not to have to work full time again [thunk]

SushiMummy · 22/05/2007 20:37

KewC, DS's nursery is close to M&S and I walk past the area everyday.

Yes, exactly what I thought when I saw you and your lovely DS, how similar they look. Except my DS has blonde hair which I think will be dark in a few years.

I'd love to meet up this weekend but DS is having a minor operation (it's his testis thingy) next week and I want to make sure he's alright. Well, we did cancel the op five times already due to norovirus/rotavirus/foot&mouth/v&c etc and the NHS is beginning to believe we are making things up to avoid the op! So maybe not this weekend.

Hello, lucicle

ComeOVeneer · 22/05/2007 21:03

Foxie I accidentally copied you in on an email to my DH please ignore it

Paddlechick666 · 22/05/2007 21:16

foxcub · 22/05/2007 21:19

ComeOVeneer · 22/05/2007 21:20

foxcub · 22/05/2007 21:44
Grin
Kewcumber · 22/05/2007 22:06

lucicle - say more when you're braver? You'll be lucky to get a word in with this lot! I don't work Fridays so am often around for coffee/playgroups/general distraction.
