2 cute - thanx for the invite - yes I'd love to come to the garden party at the end of June

...oh and its quite OK to nose in DH's e-mail's - its just a sign you love him

-what a fab surprise though!!

Anyone heard from MrdD recently?

Eleusis · 22/05/2007 11:22

I miss you MrsBigD. They all run rampant with their day time meet talk on the general chat thread. It's terrible. It was never like this when you were here... speaking of which, where the Hell have you been??

Work is busy busy busy. Could someone recap who is bringing what on Friday?

Mrs Recycle, you might need to bring two bottles of tequilla. (one for me and one for you )

ComeOVeneer · 22/05/2007 11:34

Hi all. At last the sun is back . Unfortunately I am stuck indoors today waiting for John Lewis to deliver a chest freezer anytime between 9am and 6pm. We can't even use the garden as we can't go on the new lawn yet. Dh reminded me last night that our microwave is also an oven so if I can find the instruction book then i WILL PROBABLY STILL BE ABLE TO MAKE THE CAKE. Oops

Paddlechick666 · 22/05/2007 12:23

whey hey and hooray for hounslow! got dd a pair of 6h clarks for a tenner in the sale in shoe express! and some pj's in primark so hopefully she'll be stumped for undressing herself at bedtime for a little while at least LOL.

got myself some nurofen cold and flu so hopefully will feel better soon.

quokka, don't think i'll make the retail park. dd was soo good in her buggy all morning. i really should go to tesco this arvo. don't feel like taking dd to park altho i should really. poor thing won't get much fun today but am just feeling so grotty.

maybe will put tesco off (altho have no coffee ) and let her do some water play in the overgrown garden instead.....

quokka · 22/05/2007 13:02

if your going to be home pc I might drop in for a cuppa? Gotta drop off the cake pan to richmond so will be around that neck of the woods after 4pm

Paddlechick666 · 22/05/2007 13:23

oh yeah quokka, that'd be great. dd's napping now. might do a swift run to tesco when she wakes depending but will deffo be here around 4pm.

Nanou1 · 22/05/2007 13:23

bonjour tout le monde! what a beautiful day!!!! just back from a quick shop. bough dd some bright green crocs and they are gorgeous . sorry to hear you are not too good paddle! re party in the garden it sounds good to me too . good idea. make me think i'll organise one too during the summer; hopefully we'll all squeeze in!

Paddlechick666 · 22/05/2007 13:25

lol @ crocs! i checked them out today too but nothing in dd's size.

prob going to get a boxful sent over from NZ as they're so much cheaper there and so lightweight not expensive to post.

will let people know if we're taking orders!

Nanou1 · 22/05/2007 13:28

paid £19 quid. i know they would be cheaper either in NZ or US but we are going camping and dd has no summer shoes at all . i quite fancy their sandals for myself. if successful with dd (they are not pink...) i might get her another pair!!!!!

Nanou1 · 22/05/2007 13:29

what's your dd size?

Nanou1 · 22/05/2007 13:30

they had a 6/7 i think maybe smaller in either green or red (very cute too!)

Paddlechick666 · 22/05/2007 13:33

she's a 6 nanou but i can't afford £19 on them right now.

she's actually okay for summery shoes many thanks to you! she's into the 2nd pair of doodles and the baseball boots are very cute on her too.

we must organise the handover for the return of clothes etc before you head for toblerone country.

they had them in hounslow for a fiver but older kids sizes.

good to hear from you ma cherie. you are coming on friday yes?

quokka · 22/05/2007 13:36

if anyone wants crocs I can get them in s'pore - very cheap! PC I will give you a call when I'm on my way.

Eleusis · 22/05/2007 13:37

We too are the proud new owners of a pair of crocs. I bought them on ebay and had them shipped from the states for about the same price as buying them here. But the colours were a better selection on ebay from the states. We got lavender.

Oh, and check out jibbitz. They are like jewelry for the crocs.

The whole crocs/jibbitz purchase was bribery to stop peeing in her pants. It took a few weeks, but it has worked now, and she got her crocs last night. She loves them. And much to my surprise, so does DS, so I may have to go get him a pair too. (didn't forsee this one)

quokka · 22/05/2007 13:37

I saw some gorgeous patterned ones and ladybird styles.

Nanou1 · 22/05/2007 13:38

indeed indeed really looking forward to it too!
re clothes ; good point - meant to speak to you about that! i need to sort out some stuff you might want to borrow?! you might like some of the stuff and it would help me as 1) i dont really want to take the stuff to Switzerland and 2) it would help you so will make me feel good for the stuff to have a good home for a while!

quokka · 22/05/2007 13:38

I've lost the thread for my leaving do and have no idea what I'm meant to be bring

ComeOVeneer · 22/05/2007 13:39

here .

Nanou1 · 22/05/2007 13:41

hi guys that would be great quokka! thanks. meant to say ; you could leave us your bank details account here and we could put the money in for you?! you're right ele; nice choice of colours but i just could not wait. dd is a pain to buy for because of the shape of her feet so i think we'll be on a winner here - will let you know tomorrow.

ComeOVeneer · 22/05/2007 13:42

So do you want some shoes then paddle? I have shoes/slippers/wellies and a georgeous pair of black cowboy boots with pink roses on them.

Paddlechick666 · 22/05/2007 13:44

lol nanou, your thinking is very good!

at the moment i am trying to keep the "stuff" levels down tho as i will be moving at some point too. have got a flats-worth of furniture to shift when it's sold too - eek! am hoping that the buyer might want it tho.

let's chat on friday about it if that's okay.

don't want to look a gift horse in the mouth and your dd's clothes are always so beautiful. still waiting for my dd's tummy to slim down tho so generally trousers etc have to be a size bigger!!

god dd's only slept 40 mins! little minx!

ComeOVeneer · 22/05/2007 13:44

Still no delivery so ds and I could have gone out this morning. DD is going to ballet and then to play/eat at a friends house and will be dropped home att 6pm so no school run. DS is down for a nap for the next couple of hours and I am bored.

Eleusis · 22/05/2007 13:44
