Or, extrapolating a stage further, SusieQ / SuziQ ?

lemonaid · 14/05/2007 19:19

Kewcumber?

Eleusis · 14/05/2007 20:10

I like kewcumber.

suejonez · 14/05/2007 20:19

well my sodding bloody purse is not at home am convinced that someone has half-inched it. Foxie could you check at school for me (will ask CM if I remember) if anyone handed it in on Sunday. I will ahve to cancel my cards again.

And poor DS has a stinking cold, think he has given CM a hard time and think I'm in for a hard night.

(Quite like Kewcumber too)

suejonezwillsoonbeKewcumber · 14/05/2007 20:29

what do you think... I'm morphing slowly

suejonezwillsoonbeKewcumber · 14/05/2007 20:30

I was stuck at Mansion House tube this mornign - just like being stuck in lanarote

suejonezwillsoonbeKewcumber · 14/05/2007 20:54

ele question for you here

Eleusis · 14/05/2007 21:16

thanks kewcumber. I've been and posted my questionnaire

ComeOVeneer · 14/05/2007 21:22

Hi all. I have spent 4 hours today (mainly due to ds's "help") putting together a butchers trolley, burnt dinner, then dh phoned to say he was going to have to get on the next train back into the city as he had to go back to the office (probably for the whole night). Ds has only just gone to sleep about 10 mins ago.

Like the new name sue.

Ele how are you? Haven't really talked to you in ages it seems. Which weekend suits you for the cinema? What is there on atm (or in the near future) suitable for the girls btw?

Eleusis · 14/05/2007 21:25

Hi COV. I was thinking maybe we could do Shrek 3 when it comes out... but I need to get my hands on Shrek 1 and 2 first so she can watch those at home. We have seen Meet the Robinsons. If there are any other kid movies out, that would be fine too.

This coming weekend is DS' birthday so that's out. But I can do most other weekends. I can't remember, what was your schedule like?

ComeOVeneer · 14/05/2007 21:48

Schedule full until the weekend of 16th/17th June, and 23rd is out as dh is taking dd to the theatre in Richmond to see "Danny champion of the world"

ComeOVeneer · 14/05/2007 21:49

Also I am fairly certain we have dvds of both Shrek movies (will dig them out and bring to Quokka's leaving do if you like).

foxcub · 14/05/2007 22:25

Kewcumber - like the name.

will try and ask school tomorrow. But deffo check with me whether I've remembered to do that or not...

suejonezwillsoonbeKewcumber · 14/05/2007 22:40

thanks foxie - will text you in the morning to remind you

foxcub · 14/05/2007 22:45

Good idea!

Cheers

OK last reminder:

Handbag sale tomorrow:

10am-3pm, then 7-10pm, venue: huge house on Kew Road, opposite the gardens. Worth attending just to nose round the house

Let me know by 10.30am if you wanna pop in for a browse and a cuppa/glass of wine

Be there or be square

curiouscat · 15/05/2007 08:59

Hi all, I only joined Mumsnet yesterday. I don't know if this is on the right thread, but I live in Richmond, and we're looking for an au pair to start working 1st June. I put it in the classified section but someone redirected me to here. Does anyone know anyone looking for work? Regards, happy Tuesday to all

suejonezwillsoonbeKewcumber · 15/05/2007 09:11

hellocurious cat - Eleusis and MrsRecycle are the au pair experts so I'd wait for them to come along. But welcome anyway.

Are you planning to be sociable and join in any of the meet-ups?

Paddlechick666 · 15/05/2007 09:17

oh god i have to drive to East Dulwich today.

didn't realise it was bloody nearly peckham!

grr

hello curious cat, post on the Nanny/Au Pair section for advice on how to find someone.

have you been in richmond long? how many DC and how old? would be great if you wanted to join us on any events.

MrsRecycle · 15/05/2007 09:24

Hi curiouscat - my AP starts today. I got her off thegumtree.com. But I've had lots of applicants from aupair-world.net. If you register your profile there, you should find someone. However, beware you're only likely to get people that want to come for the summer. I found it very hard getting a long-termer. Good luck - and join us in a meet-up soon.

foxcub · 15/05/2007 09:48

Hi curious cat

good luck Paddle! [virtual earnest hugs]

suejonezwillsoonbeKewcumber · 15/05/2007 09:59

yes paddle but you have chosen to go, haven't you [pious emoticon]. It's not like anyone's holding a gun to your head...

And handbag purcahses are definitely out as my cash for the week was in the purse that is missing

Eleusis · 15/05/2007 10:03

Hi curious cat. I'm more of a nanny expert than an au pair expert. But glad to help anywhere I can. I'll go see if I can find you on the nanny / au pair threads.

Paddlechick666 · 15/05/2007 10:06

yeah well i wish i hadn't!

childless friends are just a PITA!

i have to ring her to find out what time we're expected think i'd leave in 30mins and dd can nap in the car.

only to be told that it's not convenient for me to arrive at 11:30am so could i leav in an hour.

which would mean dd sleeping for an hour at 11am thus probably not sleeping again till about 4ish thus knocking bedtime right out.

so i've put her down now and hope she'll snooze for 30 mins now and stay awake later.

grrrrr.

sfxmum · 15/05/2007 10:09

hello newbies and welcome

foxie with some regret the only place i will go today is down the shops for some food and some drugs. i hope she soes this thing regularly

hello everyone else sorry not able to catch up yet, hope you are well

oh yes and i like kewcumberbeen considering name change for ages but can only come up with more rubbish

foxcub · 15/05/2007 10:34

Sue - what you mean is that no one has put a gun to Paddle's head YET!!! Good Luck Paddle!!
