Loopy - Princetown is becoming very popular right now, you will find the places are being snapped up.
Have you registered with Mansbridge and Balment estate agents? They cover princetown areas, also Salisbury Henderson, covers mainly tavistock, but I should cover Princetown too. They are the local agents for that area so you might get places shwon to you as soon as they come up.
I could not live in Legoland either! I am not saying that my perspective of Launceston is the only one, or the correct one, but its one side of the coin at least

Oh I know someone who lives near there, cant remember the name of the place but driven through Zeal Monochorum a few times.

Its a lovely area - its very rural. DP went to school at QE in Crediton.

Crediton - small place, nice enough.
Exeter - I love Exeter, lived there for 2 years. We wanted to buy there but too expensive for our first place. Its lovely, bright and friendly, enough social life to nnot be boring, but not too hectic. We used to spend quiet evenings out at nice restuarants there, drinks etc, and come into plymouth for the night life!

Main drawback - Exeter being main large town/city - traffic into and out of Exeter is a nightmare. I used to commute to Exeter for work while I waited for transfer to Plym. Used to take 30 mins to outskirts of Exeter and 45 mins at least to get through to centre. Which is worth considering if you are planning on schools in Exeter.

A good area though crediton way, I would say.
HTH!?!

loopy - oh how tense! I will keep my fingers crossed for you. Its a fine line isnt it between not being too keen and paying more than you need, and waiting too long and someone else getting it!

If its the one for you it will work out....my friend put a sealed bid on the house she desperately wanted, and did not get the house, two months later, getting desperate as she could not find what she wanted, the agents called and said the other buyers had pulled out due to cash flow prob, it was their's if they were still interested!

Jannerland is usually very wet! Lol! Its a standing joke between DH and I that as soon as we drive past the 'Welcome to Devon' sign, it rains!
