Bideford. I would say no. I cant give you reasons, as they are not forthcoming, but DP lived here lots I think he lived in Bideford, I have this vision now of him waving his hands, shaking his head going 'no no no no no'. When he comes in I shall ask him what he thinks of it.

pavlovthecat · 18/06/2007 21:48

Or, I could be thinking of Barnstable...

pavlovthecat · 18/06/2007 21:48

North Devon isnt it?

Rain, I dont bother getting dressed up in rain gear. I just wear my wetsuit!

NikkiBFG · 18/06/2007 21:51

It rains far tooooo much in Plymouth but....the pasties and Rhodda's clotted cream is lovely (obv not together!)...

Ahhhh....

I've heard Bideford can be a bit rough tbh....sorry!

pavlovthecat · 18/06/2007 22:06

Nikki - ye I was right! its the same place! I heard it too, but did not want to say, just in case I got it wrong and it was actually beautiful! Altho Barnstable can be rough too...

pavlovthecat · 18/06/2007 22:11

Loopy!! Congratulations! Third one? Are you pleased?

Are you looking for North Devon specifically, or are you considering Devon generally? What is your criteria? Oh can I help, can I can I?

I have been planning my next move, it wont be for a while, we bought a flat in plymouth city centre, intending it to be a step up, stay here a year or so, make a bit of money, then off to the countryside. I found out two weeks after we moved in I was expecting our first, luckily we bought 2 bed! So, whilst I would love to move, I am working pt now, or will be soon, so not going to happen for a bit, although we got a great spot for investment!

gess · 18/06/2007 22:17

I like N Devon, but it is very isolated, even more so than Plymouth (which I find isolated enough!)

I do central park swimming on sunday mornings!

pavlovthecat · 18/06/2007 22:24

We do random central park, when we get our asses in gear and take DD! Oh but she is doing Water Babies next week in Whitleigh! I am soooo excited!

gess · 18/06/2007 22:25

Where in whitleigh? IN the school? Or do they use a hydro pool at Woodlands or something?

Jenski · 18/06/2007 22:30

Hey Loopy, keep promising dd1 a trip to the swimming pool but haven't got there yet, although we can often be found in the playpark (in fact most days) next to the pool and often use the toilet for dd1 in an emergency! We could try and meet in the park after a swimming session if you are up for it. I have never met anyone from mn before......
Oh and you are pregnant - Congratulations!!!
Pavlov - perhaps we could arrange our own meet-up in Plymouth???

pavlovthecat · 18/06/2007 22:31

Gess - yes Woodlands hydro. Its nice and toasty!

gess · 18/06/2007 22:32

ds1's school has hydro as well. I always rather like the look of it.....

pavlovthecat · 18/06/2007 22:33

I trip to central park would be a good idea. We go occasionally, but DD has been too little for much apart from the swing, however, she took some steps this week!

I would be up for a park meetup?! You dont really mind the rain do you?!

pavlovthecat · 18/06/2007 22:34

Apparantly there is only a little curtain behind which to get changed tho . I shall try to be prepared...its ok going, its coming back out again that I am concerned about!

Jenski · 18/06/2007 22:36

Hey Pavlov, are you talking to me? No, I don't mind the rain that much and dd1 thinks it is great now she has this new zebra umbrella!!!! Central park is great - soo big - we live just on the edge and constantly go out to explore...

Jenski · 18/06/2007 22:37

oh gosh - think that maybe you were not talking to me....

gess · 18/06/2007 22:40

she was about central park! (and to me about the curtain in the hydro pool.....)

We live quite close to central park as well. Did you hear Elton John a few weeks ago?

pavlovthecat · 18/06/2007 22:43

Jenski - yes you! About meeting up in central park with the LOs. Either an official one or just pop over there one time when you are there for a go on the swings (me, not DD!).

pavlovthecat · 18/06/2007 22:44

Am off to bed, was meant to be having an early night as DP is out! But I got hooked, as always!
Night night all, will talk more tomorrow about a go on the swings?

Jenski · 18/06/2007 22:46

No, I think the wind was blowing the other way. I think I saw his helicopter though!!! Madly, although I couldn't park in my street, i didn't hear anyone coming back to their cars!!! I think George Michael is playing soon, perhaps we will hear....."Jitterbug..."

Jenski · 18/06/2007 22:49

gosh I haven't had such MN activity in a while. I too am going to bed.....
