It is 7.15 pm I will log on later tonight to see if any of you can confirm 10 Sept. Speak to you later when the dss are on bed!

MummyToSteven · 02/09/2004 19:17

bebby · 02/09/2004 19:27

Hi Mummytosteven, I am in work tomorrow , but will be starting my job share in Oct , looking forward to having more time, so it is good to be meeting new people in the are . I am having the busiest time in Sept with something happening every weekend, came home from work tonight totally wrecked, but the dss are now in bed going to chill out, what about you?

bebby · 02/09/2004 22:24

Hi all, looks like it is just mtosteven and myself at the moment.....come on don't be shy! Mummytosteven do you want to contact me direct using the contact another talker thingy? I did this with alliwannado and it is a good way to keep in touch direct, have also contacted marialuisa direct. What happened to sickoftherain? Now the weather is getting better has she found other things to do? Really the way some people trifle with your affections . Will come back to this thread probably on Monday as BIG weekend planned. Off to bed, I need my beauty sleep

Hey, sickoftherain here I've changed my name to Mrs Waddle cos that's how I feel right now!!

I am still here but haven't logged on for a few days because everytime I logged on eager for a reply, there was nothing yet and it was getting too depressing.

Anyway, glad to see you're all talking again. I am getting bigger by the day and will be finishing work soon for maternity leave hooray!!

alliwannado · 07/09/2004 12:00

hi alliwannado - sorry if I've been confusing things a lot. name a lunchtime/afternoon when you will be at Calderstones later in the week and I'll come and meet you at long last! Are you on for the 10th?

alliwannado · 07/09/2004 15:12

hi mummytosteven, not sure about the 10th, Ive explained to Bebby about not having a socail life for years so kinda terrifies me, besides wardrobes full of frump mummy clothes too........ I'll pluck up the courage maybe for the next one, I keep saying I've got to get out!
As for calderstones, i'll probably go Wednesday and Friday for now, think Wednesday is going to be nice so how about it? easier after lunch? look forward to meeting you, do you have just the one, Steven? how old?

OP posts:
MummyToSteven · 07/09/2004 15:14

Hi aliw - if we fix it for tomorrow afternoon. what sort of time do you prefer? and where in calderstones? - its a big park!

MummyToSteven · 07/09/2004 15:15

oh and ali - you can't outfrump me - still wearing lots of my maternity skirts and when I had to go into work for something a few weeks ago, somebody thought I hadn't had the baby yet, and said "Oh, you're only showing a little bit"

alliwannado · 07/09/2004 16:49

oh, i've had that!! LOL :) people looking at me strangly...... wondering whether Ive had the baby or not, shes 15mths old now :( hmmmm I laugh otherwise I'd cry!
what time is best for you? I've got such a hectic life so it has to be between 9.30am and 3.00pm on Wed, Thurs or Fri LOL :)
maybe after lunch so at least the kids are fed, makes life easier for us. after 12.30?

OP posts:
MummyToSteven · 07/09/2004 17:00

1.00 p.m. tomorrow then? i'll try to be as much on time as possible, but might be a teensy bit late if I have difficulty finding a buggy friendly bus!

bron42 · 07/09/2004 18:19

Hi All - Back from hols in Pembrokeshire where we had no rain for the whole week and sunshine for five of them. Must be a record for Wales! Mrs Waddle - welcome to the Lpool branch of Mumsnet! You asked weeks ago! about a book club in the city. Yes, there is one that has been running for a year and a half. It is a women's group that meet monthly, think it's second Wed of the month at Blackburne House. We agreed a policy at the beginning of reading female authors only and nothing like Danielle Steel, etc. Sorry to any readers of the likes! Next get together is Wed 29 Sept and book is "Back when we were grown up" by Anne Tyler. Group is very friendly, about 6 regulars with a total of about 10 who have been going on and off. Let me know if you want to join and I will give you the organiser's email so that you can contact her direct.
Bebby, yes count me in for Friday. If there are only 3 takers, I have two neighbours with young children who like me, need a social life and another friend who I met through the Lpool NCT who again would probably love a night out. Do you want me to invite them to make up the numbers? I was going to ask whether I could invite them before checking the site tonight. Really looking forward to meeting you all.
Will keep checking during the week. Otherwise see you at 8.00pm on Friday

alliwannado · 07/09/2004 19:53

ok, 1pm tomorrow, at the ducks? and then we can walk to play area....... it'll be a nice day so don't worry if your a little late.... as long as you arrive before 3 because thats when i need to be getting away for school pick up :)
see you tomorrow, unless i hear otherwise........ anyone else like to join us?
