(And I already said thanks for letting me know! )

Fastasleep · 01/03/2005 08:06

I'm not trying to be bitchy you'd be upset too if one person came to your party who said they were going to and your PIL's were forced to ring around madly trying to find family to come... and all I meant before is that I wish they could have texted/emailed/left me a message at some point before or after to let me know that they weren't coming or hadn't come IYSWIM... they probably all have fantastic reasons and are going to make me look like even more of a fool when they turn up! Someone always manages to misconstrue every little thing I say sigh

leglebegle · 01/03/2005 08:32

You weren't being bitchy at all Fast. You have been really cool about the whole thing actually. I would have been so upset if only one person had turned up, I don't think I would bother posting here anymore actually because I'd think sod the lot of you! People should remember you had prepared food and games and made a big effort before getting touchy about it. Seems to me the only one with a right to that is you x

leglebegle · 01/03/2005 08:33

oops, not saying you shouldn't post here anymore, I'm just more emotional that you and am illustrating that you have been really cool about it! Hope you got that!

mishi1977 · 01/03/2005 09:01

legle i completely agree on the sod the lot of u comment..this board has become very pathetic and petty. ...a lot of things seem to have happened on and off the board lately that actually makes me question why i bothered posting here in the first place. I know who my friends are and not so shall not be returning to this particular board again.
take care

leglebegle · 01/03/2005 09:36

take care mishi, I was a bit baffled as to your post which seemed a little aggressive to fast considering it was her who was sat around looking like a lemon! I didn't even say I would go and I felt really terrible for her. I understand you wanting to go, I felt the same at Christmas which is why I don't post here anymore, well very rarely. Stick a group of girls together all different ages, from all walks of life and there's only a small chance they are all going to get on! I don't really go to Grandmas anymore so its unlikely I will bump into you again, but all the best, Adam is lovely and a credit to you. All the best x

julezboo · 01/03/2005 10:37

Named and shamed clearly lol

i havnt had the chance to get on to tell you, alot of things goin on lately, my aunt had a stroke so was acutlly thereon sat, my dad travelled 300 miles to take me to see her as i hadnt seen her for over a year as she lives in grimsby, matthews been poolry im still not fully recovered and all the mess with tony too. Sometimes i keep thinking if i leave the house ill not get back in again, the past week has been a big change around, hes been great lovely begging me to give it another go, of course ive said no but i came very close to saying yes.

i know i would be annoyed if no one came and im sorry i didnt turn up or let u know

julezboo · 01/03/2005 10:51

Fastasleep · 01/03/2005 12:52

Oh Mishi!! For goodness sake you've been persecuting me cos wow I'm pregnant look, it's not my fault, I've been trying not to boast about it and in all fairness and honesty I've done nothing wrong to you everything I say seems to rub you up the wrong way, this post wasn't even about you and I wasn't meaning to sound horrible anyway Julie I'd guessed you'd been having a rough time I'm sorry if I sounded annoyed at you... either I'm a real clutz at saying anything or some people are just overly sensitive to the point of being bizzare.

Fastasleep · 01/03/2005 12:59

I'm not being a bitch here am I? Cos if I am I really can't see what I've done... this is pure crazyness (I'm not saying your crazy Mishi just that the situation is) is anyone else seeing how weird this is? Or am I just mad? Doesn't have a clue what to do about it!!

biglips · 01/03/2005 13:31

no Fastasleep - i dont think youre a b at all but you are trying too hard (i dont know where you get the energy to run around 3-4 days a week , you must be knackered now coz youre pg).... i have been lurking on this thread a long while now and im sorry for not turning up at your party, which i do feel bad but ive only met a few of us once which i never seem to find the time to meet up again coz i have made local friends at mums and babies group at my area which is better for me and no travelling for miles (in my car), plus ive got loads of other friends which im trying to cram them all in. i do feel that nearly everything got to be involved around childwall area/ queens drive and not exploring around the other areas that others had suggested.. sorry to feel off but gud luck with your baba fastasleep xxxx

Fastasleep · 01/03/2005 13:33

Biglips - I'd be really shy about going to someone's party when I'd never met them lol.... your life sounds sooo hectic!

biglips · 01/03/2005 13:36

fastasleep - i try and have one day to myself which i enjoy . if i turned up at the party i would've of felt abit awkward as youve never met me.... when are you due anyway?

Fastasleep · 01/03/2005 13:38

Not till October... probably been a bit silly telling the world but I thought it was better than keeping it a secret (at the time!!)

biglips · 01/03/2005 13:40

mine was born 1st oct last year... now she is 5 months old and ive gotta go coz she got a shitty bum i can smell it from a mile as she only just done it (poohhyyyy)

Justine (mumsnet) · 01/03/2005 17:16

Hi there,
We've deleted a couple of unfriendly posts here. Might be an idea if you said your pieces to eachother off-board seeing as you know eachother and clearly have something to settle, we don't tolerate personal attacks and would remind you of the mumsnet philosophy - we're here to make mums' lives easier, not the reverse.
Many thanks.

Fastasleep · 01/03/2005 18:17

Thanks Justine.

leglebegle · 02/03/2005 16:04

Girls, I started a thread called "when threads get out of hand and ruin your day" today about an entirely seperate incident to what has gone on here between Mishi and Fastasleep. It fits this perfectly though and I hope you will read it.
