HI All. Turned up last Friday at 2.30pm and hung around for 20 mins. The wasps in the play area were awful!!! Called back later but nobody fitted both descriptions. Guessed that the weather played a part. Sorry, eyelash, did not realise you live in Nth Lpool so you were right not to chance the trip and I also know that mummytosteven had to come on public transport. It was no problem for me as the kids had a runaround just the same. Hopefully, we can meet up in the future. As previously mentioned will be away for the 3rd Sept meet but hope it goes well.
Am up for the 10th Sept, would prefer Allerton Rd, love the Other Place but am happy to travel into town.
Will look at the site after 5th September when we return from our hols. Hope you all keep well, eyelash, hope the pregnancy is going OK and the heat has not bothered you too much. When are you due?

MummyToSteven · 16/08/2004 21:49

oh bron, really really sorry, I just assumed because the weather was so awful that nobody else would turn up, and posted at 1.15 and nobody answered! I then got you and bebby mixed up and so assumed that as bebby hadn't mentioned it, she hadn't turned up, so there was no problem... silly me

MummyToSteven · 16/08/2004 21:53

bron - another meet up would be great. I'm on holiday next week too, so looks like it will be in the depths of September - hopefully not too near to Eyelash's due date!!! Other place in allerton is fine by me!

eyelash · 16/08/2004 21:53

I can't do the 3rd September as have to pick ds1 up from school but up for 10th September. Very sweet of mumtosteven to think of my drive across town. TBH if the majority are up for Allerton Road that is fine by me as I will be driving anyway and will probably be less intimidating for me than going into town in my condition (see below). Let the majority decide

Thanks for asking everybody - due on 30th September so really starting to waddle. Surprisingly the heat hasn't been bothering me too much but have been taking it easy, finished work and taking dss swimming alot.

eyelash · 16/08/2004 21:55

Bron42 - apologies again for not turning up but thanks for understanding.

Looks like we are all online tonight.

MummyToSteven · 16/08/2004 21:57

bron42 - if it's any consolation I got bit by a spider on friday afternoon - which wouldn't have happened if I had come to the park to meet you - so obviously my bad karma for stsanding you up was was very prompt

marialuisa · 17/08/2004 11:37

I'll keep an eye on this to see what the arangements are. Big boss is back from his hols so I can escape the office in the week.

bron42 · 17/08/2004 11:54

No problem about the missed meeting last Friday. Sorry about the spider bite. Didn't think my voodoo doll had worked! (JOKE!) MummyToSteven. Thank you eyelash for agreeing to travel to Allerton Rd. Must admit find the whole "town" thing all too much at my age! Can just about manage a walk up to Allerton Rd in heels (low ones of course, have given up the old days of sexy heels!) Have pencilled in the 10th Sept for our get together. Ate at "La Bussola" on Allerton Rd, Sat night. Not recommended!!

bebby · 19/08/2004 21:27

Hi everyone, looks like we will all be up for a night out on 10th. I will check the site and book somewhere on Allerton Road, how about the Other Place, say 8.30 on 10 September? So far it will be me, mummytosteven, bron42, eyelash, marialuisa, is that it? Alliwannado are you up for it? Alliwannado are you up for Speke Hall meet on Sunday 22nd? E-mail me direct if you are. Be in touch again soon

MummyToSteven · 19/08/2004 21:34

Hi Bebby, the Other Place would be fab for 10th Sept.

bebby · 19/08/2004 22:28

bron42 · 20/08/2004 23:30

Other place great choice for me. See you at 8.30pm on the 10th if the plans don't change.

bebby · 21/08/2004 13:16

Looks like some of you are up for Friday 10th. I will book The Other Place for Friday 10 at 8.30 pm. I will book it for six, any more takers? I will post again on Monday 23 to confirm the details. Off to hang my washing on the line as amazingly it is not raining .

alliwannado · 23/08/2004 10:15

Hi alli - sorry you had awful weather.

Think we have narrowed it down to 2 meets:-

1)with kids, 3rd September, Calderstones Park
2)without kids, 10th September, the Other place allerton road

MummyToSteven · 23/08/2004 10:19

could we have a wet weather alternative for the 3rd September meet as some people = Titania/Gothicmama would be coming from a distance - anywhere with a nice childfriendly cafe in the Allerton Road area????

alliwannado · 24/08/2004 11:19

Can't think of any that are child friendly really, hard to find.
Only place I can think of isn't on Allerton Rd is 'Grandma's' next door to Asda in Hunts Cross, its undercover and has play areas for the kids, under 4's and one for over 4's, and a cafe for us you get 1hr 15mins for £3 or £4 each child.
can anyone think of anywhere?

Hi,

I've just joined the site. I'm an expectant mum due in November. I live in Gateacre and was hoping to find some other mum's in the area to meet up with.

I've seen some messages on this site regarding book clubs - is there a Liverpool one?

What kind of things do you lot do when you get together?

alliwannado · 31/08/2004 21:48

Im going to Grandmas next to Asda hunts Cross on either Thursday or Friday afternoon, anyone care to join me and my 2...... ?
