Brand new thread for a new month.

OP posts:
sfxmum · 20/04/2007 15:07

oh and nanou i agree with those saying go to the interview done enough loyalty to the bastards who used to employ me and got zero back - still sore

suejonez · 20/04/2007 15:08

had a really really thorough developmental test and physical exam (though not blod tests yet, they're sedning me ppt for those separately) with a paediatrician (rather than HV).

He said I had to adjust for DS's EDD rather than actual date for at least 2 years due to his extremely low birth weight. However for his adjusted dates (ie he is physically 14 months) he is physically absolutely correct for his age no remaining orphanage delays at all.

Which I am so pleased about given that he didn't even sit up until he was 1.

Mentally he is a month a month ahead {ahead]. Should I be posting on the Gifted and Talented threads? The Dr kept saying to me "and you've only had him home 3 months?".

Bless his little cotton socks.

suejonez · 20/04/2007 15:09

Did I make the roundup? Where's that then? What have I done now?

Paddlechick666 · 20/04/2007 15:12

whoo hooo sue, congratulations. it's good to hear what you already knew from the proffessionals eh.

you're contender for mum of the year now.

right, going to do some finger painting with dd - come on over if anyone wants to.

ps: sfx, sounds very painful. hope you're feeling better soon. dd headbutted me in the eye a couple of weeks ago - felt sure i'd have a big black eye but not even a small bruise!

Paddlechick666 · 20/04/2007 15:14

i've forwarded the email onto you sue...

Nanou1 · 20/04/2007 15:30

you see Sue! you were born to be a mother. well done. got all emotional reading your thread! it's great great news. so it is now official that you are doing a Grand Job!
i dont know what you could have done Sue! paddle has lost me on that one! .
spoke with agency and they think it's risky since they already waited to see me for 2nd interview (when they had seen all the other candidates)cos i was on holiday. and tue pm is this only half uk day for a while as travelling in europe and beyond... i should go really.... esp when i suspect one of my bosses to be completely disorganised and very lastminute.com i'll sleep on it i think; parts of me think i am being a fool for trying to rearrange my present bosses have not kept their promises when they recruited me and have been real b*rds at times...

Paddlechick666 · 20/04/2007 15:39

are finger paints poisonous?

Nanou1 · 20/04/2007 15:39

just read the dates for quokka. can't do 25 nor 26 as friends 40 bday party somewhere in hampshire. since those friends came specially to france to celebrate dh bday 2 years ago i would feel bad not to try and make it to hampshire!

Nanou1 · 20/04/2007 15:39

no idea paddle - sorry.

Nanou1 · 20/04/2007 15:41

i would not think so tbh; its for little ones in the first place.

Paddlechick666 · 20/04/2007 15:52

well, here's hoping!

she's having a lovely time but actually isn't as keen on the finger paint as i thought she might be.

sounds like you've got to make that interview on tuesday nanou, especially as your current employer has reneged on your deal.

Nanou1 · 20/04/2007 16:14

you are right paddle. as quokka would say "business is business!"

quokka · 20/04/2007 17:07

unless your using satin finish or gloss paint I'll think she'll be fine

SW he is now "night garden" obsessed, so I have no clue what he's on about. Haven't actually sat down and watched it myself - so out of the loop . When he says "night garden" I keep on thinking "lady garden" .

sfxmum · 20/04/2007 17:10

have another in the night garden obsessed child here, i used this time to cook so was a clueless. but thanks to the website i can now recite the rhymes

paddle the paints have a bittering agent which generaly means they tast them once then learn not to, most kids that is

quokka · 20/04/2007 17:12

gonna check out the website now!

quokka · 20/04/2007 17:34

just printed off some colouring pages and even ds2 is excited and knows them! Its the first time this arvo that all 3 of them have been quiet!

pudding77 · 20/04/2007 17:45

is this night garden thing a one off or a series? Its popping up on so many threads that I'm starting to think I should watch it lol!

Sue - so pleased that the tests came out well!

Had a lovely time in the park this afternoon with a friend and her dd, ds has just worn himself out running round everywhere!

Paddlechick666 · 20/04/2007 17:59

lol @ lady garden, snigger!

i'm so juvenile!

I think I like the program more than dd does. I'd love a ride on the plinky-plonk!

Upsadaisy is most definately on drugs, IgglePiggle clearly has seperation issues but MaccaPacca is cool

ps: not much paint in dd's mouth and of course i don't have to tell you that i've got a budding picasso here! lol

sfxmum · 20/04/2007 18:08
